A memory not exactly from out of the blue, but unearthed by a Nutella commercial. There was this stuff that came in a round waxed cardboard container. These days, the container would be made of plastic. It was found in the refrigerated shelves at the grocery, near the butter, eggs and cottage cheese. It's possible that it was a combination of whipped honey and butter or margarine. The colder it was, the harder it was to spread, similar in that way to peanut butter. Made perhaps by Sealtest or Breakstone or Borden.

I don't remember the name of the stuff. Ring any bells?

I didn't even know it existed. I'll have to google it. Or if you find out before me, let me know. I did already see something about iCloud connected phones. So I don't know it that's implying only between iPhones or not.
Yeah that icloud is a bargain compared to Verizons, the guy at verizon recommended it over their own. I upped mine to 50gb for .99 a month. I will put the stuff I had on Verizon on there but you can put all your music, photos, documents anything on there which makes it nice, I think when I get home I'm going to give itunes a try they have a free 3 months to really give it a good try. I like the idea of having all my favorite music and push it through BT to my new hearing aids. I am pretty sure that the VA will have much better hearing aids then they did 5 years ago. All electronic equipment seems to advance so fast.

iCloud you get 5 gb for free but thats not much. I really like the live photo feature on the iPhone. It is cool being able to look at a photo and see and hear 1.5sec before and after. Oh also did the upgrade to 10.3.3 and no problems at all. I guess 11 is coming soon. Thats one I will wait a couple of weeks to do and see if there is bugs and if they get them fixed.

Hoping to get out of here tomorrow and make the trip home. We'll see we really need to so we have time to rest up before next weeks doc appt marathon plus temps dropping to 70's and lower so will probably have to use a little heat. We are going to try to get some overseed in our lawn accomplished and water the heck out of it till it gets a good start. Hoping it works.

Florida vapers Seapeach, Clnire and Ken_A have marked themselves as "safe" on a FB page.
Thats good to hear, no major damage for anyone. How did Seapeaches new house fair I wonder. It didn't damage any of the bridges did it.

I am fine. No power but fortunately a generator. Some roof problems but we were already contracted for a new roof tomorrow. May not happen tomorrow due to emergencies, but we will take pictures and file insurance and perhaps get help with the cost.

Seeing as I expected to not have a house at all, the relief is overwhelming.
I'm so glad you, DH, & pups & your place are ok!

Oh yeah the app is free but the subscription is 9.99 a month after that to download all the music you want.

Are you meaning ... an iTunes Match subscription. If so, that only stores all your music in the cloud making it accessible from any device running iTunes. It's your music already that you are downloading. You can do the same just by putting you music directly on each of your devices thus saving $10 per month.

If it's something else let me know 'what'.

Oh Pat, never mind. I forgot about Apple Music ... that's the subscription you're probably talking about. Yep you can listen to a ton of music with it. Just remember though, you can only do it as long as you are a subscriber. It's not like you get to download a ton free music then cancel the subscription.

Yeah Mike I wondered that. How about if you get your music somewhere else and store it on iCloud. You are talking it is only yours as long as you are a subscriber to iTunes or iCloud. iCloud you remain a subscriber forever because it is free but do you mean that any music you download from iTunes is only available if you subscribe to iTunes. That doesn't really seem fair to me, you have basically paid for the music. I know all the books I bought while subscribed to the Amazon book service remained mine so I am still able to bring them up to continue reading. Can't remember the service off the top of my head. Just looked and it is Audible checked and all are still available to listen to but my old phone was not real good at that. Will be much better now. Gotta listen to the rest of Dylans book for sure.
iPhone is coming out with a new iPhone, the iPhone X. I love the one I have and feel no interest at all at even thinking about it. I wonder how the iOs 11 will be. I ordered my phone with 64gb of memory which my Gdaughter recommended which now I see that was a good choice. Was going to order 128gb but she told me that was mainly for people who have movies, stuff that really uses a lot of memory. I'm glad I did since they have no expansion capabilities. Should be more then I ever use with the availability of iCloud for a buck a month.

Match: Is a cloud service for storing all your music. Stuff you've purchased or gotten free or whatever. When you unsubscribe, all the music is still yours as you have the master copy on your computer.

Music: All you purchased and other music stays yours even when you unsubscribe. Music you obtain via your subscription come w/ a DRM included, so you can only listen to it on your devices and if you unsubscribe you can no longer listen to it. I have read reports in the beginning where this was buggy and some of 'your own' music, stuff your previously acquired before subscribing to Music got glitches w/ the DRM and some people lost some of their previously owned music. I don't know how stable it is now a couple years after its been introduced.

Movie review: "Crush", 2001, Andie MacDowell. Comedy/Drama with a dose of tragedy.
For over 20 years, Andie MacDowell has been the actress I most like to make fun of, meaning I must be fond of her. My reasons were that I found the characters she played to not vary much from one film to the next. This movie, though, proves to be an exception. It did not get very good reviews but I really don't see why. I found it terrifically entertaining, well done, and enjoyable from start to finish.

Hey did Hurricane Irma take out the Back Porch too... Dodged the bullet on damage in our area - we have a couple of neighborhoods that have actually been blocked in by fallen trees. A few destroyed homes from fallen trees, but mostly just a lot of cleanup.

Nothing compared to what hit Florida...
