I also get the chickens at Sam's. Our Sam's sells out of them pretty quickly so if there are none in the display we continue our shopping and pick one up later. They always have them roasting in the ovens behind the display. I like using them in a pot of chicken and noodles or de-bone them for use in chicken sandwiches, burritos or salads, etc. There are loads of meals that can be made quick and easy. I need to pick one up tomorrow. I was going to go shopping today but my pain level was too high to try walking around Sam's.

Oh, I have a Dr for Pain Managment. Unfortunately, if I was prescribed meds to alleviate the pain I would not be able to function. So I take just enough to lower the pain to an acceptable level and then stay ahead of the pain with the meds.

Today is the day Ginny has to go in and have what are called Fiducial, little gold pellet imbeded in the liver. Hope all goes well. She has to be there 1 1/2 hours before and 4-6 after. They need to make sure the liver doesn't bleed. Really don't know how she is going to feel after but it's an allday thing. It's done very similarily to a liver biopsy except they don't have to go deep into the liver they are placed on the outside, if I understand it right.

She is, the only thing that is what they are worried about, that is her liver bleeding. That's why they keep her for 4-6 hours after the procedure. I hate sitting around hospitals but I may go to the other Costco and get some stuff we need. We were going to go Thursday but this would save us the trip. Never been to this one and it's only 10 min away. I'm taking a pillow and a blanket also might be able to curl up in the car. Who knows. I just hope whoever is doing this knows what he's doing. Never been to this hospital either. If it wasn't so far away I'd go home but it about 35 miles.

At home I read on my ipad Kibdle but I have Paperwhite too that lives in my purse loaded with a few books for each of us…the type you can pick up and put down for later. Comes in handy when one of us is at a doctor's office and the other one is waiting. Or for longer trips.

Well she made it just fine, but these Gogal girls are made of some tough stuff. The radiologist couldn't even find the spot, he had to call the doc and she told him about where she wanted the markers. She couldn't have contrast on the MRI so he couldn't find it. She is going to have a talk with this doc, if this is something that she really doesn't need done. Going to scar up her liver in the general vicinity of the spot. Not a very good way to do this we don't think. She had on big bout with pain but after that went away she is doing fine.

Of course she is! See, told ya she is tough and an inspiration! Good for her for wanting to talk with the doctor to get clear on procedure.

I would just slice it and wrap it well in tin foil, then in a sealed plastic bag.......it will keep well for a few days.
They are good and you will enjoy it!

Oh, ETA that I have the Kindle app on my Samsung 10" tablet....love it!

I have an old Kindle (maybe 2nd gen?) and a PaperWhite, but I don't use them much; I may take the PW if I need to read in bright outdoor light where the tablets are washed out. My main "reader" is my iPad which gets up to 6 or 8 hours a day. I can read on my iPhone (on the rare occasions I get stranded without the iPad), but the smaller screen plays havoc with speed reading (I usually get through one or more average novels per day).

I agree with Gracie about wrapping it for the fridge, but I rarely use foil because then it becomes mystery food that gets shoved to the back until it starts growing things. Don't forget to save all that wonderful juice at the bottom of the bag/container it comes in! While it's still warm pour it off into a baggie to be used later for soups or gravy. Fantastic!

Yes indeed I do...two of them actually...grape jelly...and they're placed a bit close to the window so that I can watch them

Jerry don't you hate that. Now the govt is going to be our doctors, When I break a leg nexttime I will call my Senator and ask what I should do. I wrote a lot bunch of jibberish but decided people don't understand what is happening to people living with chronic pain and think they are just drug addicts. So now they are going to come between your doc and you and decide what is right for you. At least that is the way pain patients are being treated. I have never abused my meds or tried to get them early or did any doctor shopping but I am going to be cut in half what I have been taking for 7 years so don't know what the future holds. Whatever it is it's not going to be good. This is a very poor way of handling this so called epidemic, the junkies will still get their H and some will be laced with either Mexican or Chinese other drug that starts with F. One time and they are another statistic. Their new laws will have no effect what so ever. These are not the people who need to be stopped. If they had a real substitute yet so they are going about this bass akwardly by targeting chronic pain patients.

Ginny has had no more of those bad pains. I think it may have been cause by sitting up in the car. I still don't know if this was needed or not. Don't even know if they are in the right spot cause he just had to go by the cancer doc on placement. Not that I don't trust doctors but who knows these days. The oncologist had a hard time finding it when she showed it to us and we really couldn't see it. Makes a person wonder.
