How does a dog accumulate 150 MPH?
They (the AKC) keep a record of the speed of runs. For example, Geordi's first run in 2018, he did it in 7.39 seconds (his fastest ever time), which converts to 27.68 mph. Next run was 7.97 seconds, which is 25.66 mph. Etc, Etc. Geordi had accumulated 126.83 mph points going into this last run where he ran it in 8.484 seconds, which translates to 24.11 mph. which gives him a total of 150.83 mph. He earned the points in 6 runs, Now we wait for the official AKC certificate.
We won't continue for more titles because it gets costly ($25-$30 per recorded run), but they often offer "fun runs" for $5. Don't count toward a title but just for fun. There is a facility near my house that is offering 2 "fun runs" for $12 today that I was planning on going to, but since it is pouring rain and in the 40s, no bag chasing today.
