Love our Fire sticks!!! We have 2, one my hubby uses when he goes on the road without me, other stays home. Our son "jail broke" one for us so we get more options for things to watch.... Both are the low end ones (we don't do Alexa or that stuff) but work great! I got the first one last year on Prime day for $19.95. 2nd we just bought for travel. It's a great deal if you are interested in trying one!!
So the Fire stick is Amazon's version of the Roku stick?

Mooch speaks highly of them.

Yep the VTC6 got a good rating and the VTC5 got a best all around rating. I went with the VTC6 for its 3000mAh capacity. I don't need the higher amp rating of the VTC5 @ 2600mAh

Pat's daughter Kerrie Fry posted this on Facebook about 30 minutes ago. Rest in peace Patrick and be happy to be reunited w/ Ginny. You were a good friend and will live on in my memories forever.

"This morning my Dad passed peacefully...he is now with his beloved wife who passed 2 months ago.. they will both be so dearly missed but now after 2 long months apart they can be together again..."

I left this message on her FB page.

" Pat was loved by all of his friends at ECF. He was an inspiration to us all with his humor and attitude in spite of his physical condition. We all admired him so much. He will truly be missed by all of us."

Thank you for posting this Mike.

Yes, there's now a gaping hole in the porches. I'm somewhere between shell-shocked and heartbroken.

Does anyone know why the dog was given away? It was the one being that unconditionally loved and needed him. Most of the pictures he's posted that weren't of vape gear, usually had the dog in it with he, Ginny, or all three of them.

My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Legs, you'll always be bigger than life to me. :nun:

I am so sorry for your loss. Patrick was such a sweet, caring, funny guy, and, although I didn't know him anywhere NEAR as well as you folks, I knew enough to see how special he was. I hope he is at peace with Ginny and I wish healing and comfort to his family and friends in the coming months. So deeply sorry.
    RIP, Pat....

I am so sad that Patrick is gone, but I'm happy for him too. This past year has been just awful for him. Not only because of all his physical problems and the chaos it threw him into mentally, but there was having to deal with his beloved Ginny passing. It's been such a tough road for him that I'm glad he's finally at peace. I never see a train or tracks and not think of him. And I've always thought he would have been so much fun to go out and have a few beers with. Until this past year with all his problems he was always upbeat and helpful and kind and generous. Despite having lost both his legs and his other numerous serious health problems he was still funny and willing to help others however best he could. Rest in peace my friend. I'm glad that your trials are over.

I'm not sure why he couldn't take Sophie with him to his daughter's house unless it was just because he couldn't take care of her and didn't want to burden them. At least she got to live with his neighbor who she was familiar with and evidently loved her.

Just a note before I split to the Hardware Store ::

Anyone living on Amazon during Prime Time .. ?? Any scores .. ?? And, are they still doing it like they used to with a Limited Time Buy Window and gradually releasing new On Sale goods .. ?? Forcing people to practically Camp Out until anything they needed / wanted might come up .. ??

I never participated before, but this year we needed a few things so I ran through the listing and put a few things in my cart for us and even a Christmas present or 2. Then yesterday our coffee grinder bit the dust so it was back to Amazon for a replacement, and oh, while I was there, a lovely summer top somehow fell into my basket as well. I really don't like shopping much in stores. All that driving and parking and wandering around seems like such a waste of time. Scrolling through items from the comfort of my couch is much more efficient and I can check out specs and gather info from the reviews even if I do go out and purchase from someplace else.

He is missed already. And we will miss him for a long time. His stream of consciousness posts were interesting, I think he needed to write his thoughts down somewhere, and he chose here and us, which was a compliment. I think sometimes he felt apologetic about this, but I liked it, as an expression of his quirky self.
