Yabutt the news media will make up for it. They already started.
I'm not hearing any of that because instead of watching the news, I watch MSNBC. Ba-da-bump.

Prez Obama at the White House Correspondent's Dinner a couple nights ago: "Jake Tapper left journalism to join CNN".

Deals and steals has a link. :)
Thanks hun!

Good afternoon everybody. I missed morning. Slept in knowing for the next three days I'll be babysitting grandchildren while Mama goes to visit Oma in hospice in GA. I'm glad to be able to do it for her, but need your prayers to get through it. I've had them for a day and overnight, but never three in a row.
Good luck with that one!! That would likely do me in!

We got the veggies in the ground two weeks ago.
that's fantastic! Apparently just in time for nekkid gardening day, just sayin hehehe What happens in Alaska......stays in Alaska Loved the pics of the mooses. Glad they didn't get your veggies.

He would not have known of the logging operation if I hadn't reported it and that he wanted to know about it.
He intends to continue keeping an eye on it since it appears to be an "in progress" operation.
The operation appeared to be sloppy, but not illegally sloppy, and was not in current violation of any rules or laws.
Glad that it's not illegal and that you were able to let him know about it.

Wow my Grandaughter and Wife got some of my old pic digitized. Remember I said we went to Juneau Alaska in a 20' boat here is a picture of Mendenhall Glacier in 1960

I think that is from the same parking spot.
That's pretty dramatic!

This is one of the old river boats from the Gold Rush they pushed up on shore and me and my mom.

This was just down the Yukon River from Dawson City, Yukon. We had a 12' boat so did some sightseeing. 1958
Those pics were amazing!! Shame that the river boat was allowed to just decay like that. You were a super cutie and your mom was so pretty. Loved the camper truck and the pics of the giant skeeters. That's great you were able to digitize them! I had some 8mm film from when I was little, and super 8mm from when my son was little that I had put on VHS some time back lol Still have the film in storage, would love to get them digitized one day.

Looks a lot like a grouse.
yeah???? Well.........so do you!!

Her and my Dad got married right before the Great Depression so heard lots of stories about it. My Brother was 21 when I was born and he was married an also already had a kid. My nephew is 1 year older then me.
Sounds about like me. My mom was 48 when I was born, dad was nearly 48. He had at least one, maybe two grandkids when I was born. If the second one hadn't been born she was 2-3 months away from being born. Dad was born in 1915 so I heard a lot of the same stories.

I know we all tend to look for infighting and drama but it doesn't appear that Prince's siblings are going to provide any.
I hate the stories of infighting and drama, so love the fact that this family isn't doing that!!

@Iffy We're the proud owners of a new Atlas jack plate...trim tabs and new truck mirrors are on the way. He's saying Happy Birthday to himself, but bought me another REO patina mini and a bronze Praxis Derringer that Rob is gonna tool as a bottom feeder, and a new white pearlescent drip tip with pink roses on it for Mother's Day. I'm gonna put the Derringer on the woodvil and transfer the RM2 to the mini LP 1.0. I'm happy :)

They were 35mm color slides. She sent them to Imemories and they did it all. They look just like new and they have been sitting in the projector case in garages for about 35 years amazing. She got 121 done and is having the other 120 done. Actually they look just like they did when we used to watch them at home on a Friday night with the projector. Can't wait to see the rest. I've got a bunch of 8mm movies too I think I'll get done.
Ah, so they were good color pictures to begin with. I was imagining a lot more having to be done with them to make them look as good as they do now. The old Kodak Brownie that we had didn't take pictures that good, or in color.

Or rather, I guess it wasn't the camera that couldn't take color pictures, it was the fact that my parents bought the much cheaper black and white film rolls. The details are murky, both in the photos and in my mind. :thumb:

Yeah they were good pics but I couldn't believe that after being in the garages that long with 90+ and -0- degrees they stayed that good. Must be Kodachrome as Paul Simon says about it.

Damn @Vape? they keep a tight reign on you Aussies huh?
Has something to do with licensing. I don't pretend to get it. Things always come out a bit later here.it's at least a years lag on movies and such. Morning all. I'm vaping, but not enjoying much. Going to the specialist tomorrow to get more definitive tests of where my lungs are. Mixed feelings about wanting to know. It is what it is, I guess. Nice sunny day, might take my easel and paints out on the patio. I have a couple paintings I should be working on. Gotta get myself in gear.
Anyone know why I can't taste the flavor of the vape juice on a 1.2 coil. It's producing, but again, non adjustable. Have I just become used to sub ohm coils from using the edge? Love the pics, legs. Where'd you grow up?

Yeah they pushed them up there and in the springtime of the year when the ice would breakup and go down river is what caused the gouges in the side. I even found a poker chip in one but damned if I can find it now.

How do you post images on here?
Well the easiest way I have found to do it is use Google+Photos. I download my photos to another program, I use Picasa then I can look at them on my TV too, and transfer the ones I might want to post to google photos plus any I take with my phone automatically go there. Then when you are looking through them and you see one you want to post you click on it and it enlarges then right click on it and choose "copy image" then in your post when you want to post it just right click at that point and choose paste and it's there in all its glory. Plus using Google+ you can send it to any one you want using any messaging program or email but if they don't use Live Mail they don't get it. Or at least Outlook doesn't haven't checked Gmail

WOW 2 legs! I'm getting all misty looking at your pics!!! Those WERE the days my friend!!! Alaska and the Yukon were wild, untamed and for the most part, unpopulated. I bet your family went whole days on the Alcan without seeing another vehicle. The glacier pictures prove that global warming is real (I just don't happen to agree with why it's happening. That's a whole other thread though.). Portage glacier just a little South of Anchorage has done the same thing. When my brother & I were kids, it was just about like your 1960 pics, we could climb on the icebergs that had floated to the edge of the lake. Now it's receded so far back that you can barely see it from the visitors center. Great stuff and great memories!!! Thanks for sharing those!

Yeah I bet it has here is a picture of the old theatre in Dawson City, I see they have refurbished it now but then it was just like it was except for sinking in places from the perma-frost says built in 1899
