Whew! I was quite a few pages behind on the Part V thread... then y'all went and started Part VI wif a vengeance! 11 pages! Sheesh!

Sorry, been kinda in-and-out last week. We had some high priority testing that needed to be done. Friday was a 7am-9pm day... at least we got a little bit of overtime! That's been pretty scarce for us for the past year or so. Hurts da ole paycheck... looks like this week will be a bit more "normal" though.

newp.......dats a owl silly boy!! looks like it might be a barred owl, but need to see more of it's face to be sure. I used to share a house with some friends who were also Indian and the woman had one in the house. He was NOT a friendly owl

hmmm it worked last night, or actually early thirty this am.......not sure what's up. Seems like if the sale had ended last night it would have done so at midnight

Ok...........Kay just called me........... it was too funny, I was on the phone with Cheyenne and I heard the call waiting beep, thought it was my son, and the call about Kay was more important at the time, so I didn't flip over. Got off the phone and saw two cell phone MI calls, couldn't figure out for a minute why it was showing twice that Cheyenne called and not who had beeped in.......then I realized the numbers were different. Kay had beeped in while I was talking to Chey!!!

Kay said she hadn't talked to her Dr yet, so per Cheyenne, I was able to tell Kay that her surgery had gone wonderfully!!! Yay!!! She said she'd had total peace that it would right from the git go! They doped her up in the little room while she was waiting to go into the OR, and she went to sleep, didn't wake up again til she was in her room..........she made them show her the site to be sure she'd had the surgery!!

Of course, she's been flirting with all the male nurses. No surprise there. We had to get off the phone cuz two women had come in the room.....she said she had to go cuz they were hovering over her........I said uh-oh........she said......nawwww....I can take em!!! lol Jup she's in great spirits, and they're giving her plenty of pain meds!! Was gonna remind her not to let the pain get bad.......but she already had that in mind.........so that's great!! She said she'd call me again later tonite if she feels like it. And she thanks everyone for their prayers, as does Cheyenne. Chey really asked folks to keep her in prayers also. She's young, and is so close to her "Nana" this has really rattled Chey's cage!!! Ok, now gonna go read the other two pages I need to catch up

This is my Mom chief cook and bottle washer on our excursions. The mosquitoes were so bad is the reason for her socks being rolled up. They seemed to like her best.

They were really bad.

Not quite sure what she was going to sweep up there. We tried to camp in gravel spots usually tailings from the dredges because the mosquitoes were not as bad there. If you camped in the woods they'd eat you alive.

Patrick, those pictures are remarkable. I'm guessing that the original pictures look poor compared to the newly digitized ones? If so, I had no idea that modern technology could do so much with old pictures. Were the old pictures black and white or color?

They were 35mm color slides. She sent them to Imemories and they did it all. They look just like new and they have been sitting in the projector case in garages for about 35 years amazing. She got 121 done and is having the other 120 done. Actually they look just like they did when we used to watch them at home on a Friday night with the projector. Can't wait to see the rest. I've got a bunch of 8mm movies too I think I'll get done.

Shame about the music, my husband decided to become country fan after we moved to WV, which was our last Known American address. Nothin against willie and johnny, but only in small doses. From what I understand he was in a lotta pain. Needed hip surgery. But the JW's don't believe in transfusions. So he was kinda stuck. As far as the siblings, also from what I understand, there would be no fight. Would be dispersed evenly to all of them.

He only had one full sibling. A sister. She's executor I think.

Her and my Dad got married right before the Great Depression so heard lots of stories about it. My Brother was 21 when I was born and he was married an also already had a kid. My nephew is 1 year older then me.

No, an outside executor was appointed at the request of that sister. Under Minnesota law, there's no difference in inheritance rights between siblings and half-siblings. The 6 of them will divvy things up evenly. I know we all tend to look for infighting and drama but it doesn't appear that Prince's siblings are going to provide any.
