On this, the dawn of the Vapeocolypse, I'd like to interject this musical thought...........

Please tell me you're a fan of Black Oak Arkansas, the craziest, wildest, most fun rock and roll band ever. Here's lead singer Jim Dandy singing "Jim Dandy to the Rescue" featuring Ruby Starr, the most magnificent of all the kissin cousins.

That would be awesome!

BTW, the part of the brake line I'm talking about is the 12-18 inches closest to the wheel, which is a rubber/braided hose. And you can't look at the hose and see whether it's collapsed or not. There is an inner rubber hose encased by an outer braided part. It's the inner part that collapses. The best way to tell if that's the problem is to remove the right wheel and, while someone holds down on the brake pedal, loosen the bleed valve on the caliper. If the inner hose is constricted, very little brake fluid will come out.

Good Luck!

Now that sounds off the wall. Never heard of that one before but it does seem feasible. $5 hose and an hour to change and bleed. (Yeah, 15 minutes but get them to charge for 15 minutes)

It happened to me when I first got Percy a few years ago (my 1973 Chevy step-side pickup). Didn't seem feasible to me either at the time, but changing out the hose fixed it right up. And that's a high-pressure hose - it'll be quite a bit more than $5.

Not per se, the thing is, there is a Government Study ongoing that claims Guy Fawkes with Red Nose is a hazard .. new rules coming soon .. so, I just figured I'd let folks "fill in the blank" .. it's controversial, I know .. o_O

Ah, right. It's what the FDA warned us about!

Forgot to add one of my all time favorites from BOA, "Everybody Wants to Make It"
Don't forget "When Electricity Came to Arkansas" where Jim Dandy plays the washboard...lol. I think I'm having flashbacks here.

Home from the latest trip safe and sound. My aweful day 2 weeks ago was driving my little old van to Atlanta to meet hubby, leave my van at a friends and continue on the trip.. First, accident on I75 at Gainesville closed the highway. Make my way through back roads past the closed section and lost my power steering. Fill er up with steering fluid and continue. I should have just gone home. Next it started dieing on me. Pull off to a gas station, very low oil. I checked before I left home and it was fine. Fill er up and continue. Nothing but problems (Atlanta traffic in a bumb vehicle is no fun!) but made it to friends house. Hubby drove it a bit and "hey, something is wrong" DUH! I was at our mechanic almost every day before I left because something was wrong. Couldn't find anything wrong. Only had problems after driving for an hour or more, which I did one day before taking it in. Now, we have a very honest mechanic who is really very good. It's not the engine, just rebuilt. I suspect transmission (again, it's on its third transmission) and steering. Did our shows and towed the danged thing home. It's a 95 Caravan Sport with 222,000+ miles on it. Yea, I need a new vehicle but not in the budget right now.

So towing home, I am driving when we hit Florida. Hubby is snoozing. The rain starts. Pounding, can't see 10 ft in front of you pounding. I am driving slow in the right lane. Suddenly hubby wakes up - watch out! I said I know how to drive! He says not towing (um, yes, I have towed many times). This won't stop if you get too close! I was braking carefully at the time and said so. He shut up and I continued to drive.

Oh, to top it off, last Thursday(?) I woke up with a cold. Although I am feeling much better, it just adds to the stress.

And today is the start of the vapocolypse. Vape mail tomorrow! He better not question my packages!

Ok, vent done. At least I think my taste buds are coming back. I have been vaping a not favorite juice with Koolada in it for days cuz at least the Koolada is a sensation, if no flavor. Tonight my RY4 has flavor!

Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed with Tasha tonight. She is a bed hog but cuddly.

Wrong one. :)
Really? You have a car model that's not on that huge list?

Now, I wouldn't personally BUY that $5 brake hose with its 3-month guarantee, but it is possible to buy one.

Those hoses in that AutoZone listing ARE flexible, ie, bendable, as far as I was able to tell.

Heck, I dunno. I've told you more than I know already. Maybe I'm wrong.

Last time I replaced a broken brake hose was in 1973, on a 1963 Plymouth Valiant with a push-button transmission. I liked that car.
