Oh well today is patch day so I feel better. Some will know what I'm tallking about. Think I will get Ginny to take me today. Yesterday I went by myself and even though I got a good parking place by the time I got to the blood draw I was completely out of breath. Then I couldn't find my card and they made be sit down and take my time and look for it where I put it to be easy to find.

I got lucky (no, not that way .. ) on Friday .. I had a 40 cent Kroger Card discount and a coupon for an additional 20 cents off per gallon (good that day only) .. scored 30 gallons for the Avalanche at $1.45 per gallon ..

I've been staining my deck over the last week, at least when it's dry enough to get some work in .. did a section this morning and was sweating heavy by the time I got done .. unseasonably hot temps here in Fly Over Land, hitting around 90 this week with high humidity as well ..

We use Kroger gas points every chance we get. Kmart also prints a 20 cent discount coupon for BP gas (20 gal limit) on $50 and over purchases. I usually put those in the console and use them as needed. Every little bit helps, even when gas is cheap!

Been mighty busy around the home front, and don't get on the B/P as much as I used to, but wanted to peek my head in to say hello.

While we were babysitting our precious ones yesterday, we experienced a lightning storm, the likes of which I've never seen before and hope not ever again...back home here, according to our friends, it was not bad at all.

Anyway, just poking my head in and now on my way out the door again.

That waiting is the hardest part... we've been pretty lucky because MD Anderson has all the specialty labs right there in their hospital. We can get most of the results on the same day... regular CBC kinda stuff, those results are available within an hour of visiting the vampires!

Yup. That's why I usually do the "@" thing when I want to answer several folks. It's a PITA to select and delete on my iPad. Often I find I've deleted just the parts I need! OTH, given I'm generally not on the BP, I wonder if folks will have forgotten what they said that prompted my reply!

They were delivering gas to the 3 stations that we had that had run out of fuel - the new fuel was at a premium price - trying to make up for losses from two days of no gas sales...

Supposedly that's a temporary increase. There was a pipeline in Alabama that got shut down and isn't due to be back on line for a week or so.

I could name off a string of Immediate Gas Price Increases such as Katrina, 9/11, etc .. I'm talking gas that was still in the station tank, not new gas .. I did not realize that was illegal, although I think it should be .. or did I read your post wrong .. ??

Yea the governor of Ga said that was a no no here. The last time we had a has scare we had one part of town up $.25 and another up $.60, but they claimed that was not gouging...

pretty sure it's always illegal everywhere.

If any of you ordered one of these back around the beginning of July, when the listed price was $10, the time limit for getting a refund is nearing. I never got mine, and I assume anyone else who ordered at that price never got theirs either. I post because it was me (I think) who pointed out what a good deal it was. Spending $10 and gettin' nuttin' is not a good deal.

Well another VA appt today. I won't get my viral load for a few days it has to be sent to Seattle to be processed, but I'll see how my HGB is doing. They have a big lab there but certain tests have to be sent out for specialize equipment they don't have.

Well, they still have the gas. Not like it wasn't stockpiled. Just a delivery problem.

True. But their problem is what to do with the gas they're still producing? Usually when someone has too much product they drop prices to move it. In this case they don't seem to think they have to cuz they got the market cornered. Moving overstock at premium prices.

When they get this all said and done - Gas will be back around $2.70 a gallon in the cheaper areas of the country and $3.20 in the more expensive areas.

In and around my area, we've been hovering around $2.05 - 2.10 .. $1.98 last week for a short time ..

I no longer have a vehicle, but when the points from my super market get up to $.40 a gallon off, I give them to the person who takes me to do my shopping...
