Then what do you use in your cereal? Or what do you dunk Oreos in?
orange juice! :pervy:

Only thing milk is good for is to mix with the Kahlúa.
I like the way you think!

That was after about 40+ folks had been pickin' and pokin' at it for several hours.

We left there about 10pm and went to another party where they had a Karaoke DJ. I was well-lubricated by then, so more-easily got talked into singing Jimmy Buffetts' "Come Monday"... it was terrible... but by then, thankfully, nobody cared anyway. At least I wasn't the 'worst' one to get up there - IMHO anyway. Got home ~1:30 - and paid for it most all day Sunday.
sounds like it was a blast!!

The price of Gas is jumping here locally due to the leak in Alabama and in our area I have already seen a couple of stations without gas.
that stinks. Haven't seen the news, so didn't even realize there was a leak in AL

Happy (belated) Birthday, @MikeE3! Wishing you health and happiness every day of your 71st year!

@WhiteHighlights, Woo Hoo! Three years (and 3 days)! vaping is such a gift, isn't it?

@misswish1, thank you for the updates. I'm delighted to hear that she's doing so much better!

@MattB101, you're going to be one strong, svelte specimen by the time you move. Not much longer ... :)

@Iffy, About those razor blades. Really? My dad never told me he noticed when mom or I used his... Not!!! He'd holler so loudly, we could hear him in the backyard!

@lulu836, I hear ya on the Provape chat thread. It's still in my "watch" list, but I stopped really following when the commentary became so political. We get enough of that without seeking it out ... Yet one more positive porch attribute!

@oldbroad, it was so nice to see you over in Chowder's thread. Did ja get a ChiNarDA? It's a great atty

Greetings, all

a little bird rat mentioned that someone here or in the H/O inquired about me. not sure which, so you'll all have to endure my response. i haven't been on ECF or even in front of my computer much for the last month or so, and i was so far behind, i just skipped to the end to post this.

i'm recovering, slowly perhaps, from the surgery. i still have the vacuum wound device attached to my belly. a nurse shows up 3x/week to change the dressing and says the wound is getting smaller. i'm hoping for only a few more weeks.

a home health aide shows up periodically to bathe me, since i can't do that myself, really. (although, i'm thinking of trying to hire her permanently). the physical therapists no longer show up, since they taught me all their exercises. (yah, i know you doubt if i actually do them). an "occupational therapist" is supposed to show up some day to give me hints on how to take care of myself living alone.

as far as i know, all this is covered by medicare, or i will have a rude awakening.

i'm now able to walk a bit without relying on the walker. it comes and goes. i made it to my car to drive to the mailbox to pick up some meds that i'd run out of. that went well, but then i got spunky and tried to drive to a drive-thru to get a burger, which didn't end up all that well.

last night, after i took my meds (including the diabetic med i had run out of) i felt weak and dizzy and started sweating. (this happened while i was typing with Ms. Rat). this is often a sign of low blood sugar, so i took one of the glucose capsules that yiddle sent me months ago, and started feeling ok.

so, yiddle's gift keeps on giving. . . and the rat called me later to make sure i actually made it safely to bed. . .

it was a good night, in the end

bottom line is i guess i'm doing as well as can be expected. it may be a month or so before i can show up here much, however

cheers, and love to all,
Dennis

So gopd to hear from you! Sending healing vibes. Get well soon.

Don't think I've been this low in a long time, the step daughter has insisted that her abusive felon baby-daddy move in, and the wife said yes, proving she really doesn't care what I think or feel. And it turns out I can't sell furniture, so I am going back hat in hand to the carpet company.
Yay me

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.
You just can't catch a break.. I have no advice, but continue to hope things get better for you.

Saw that last night on the news. We are driving home and will be going through the Carolinas and Georgia. All we can do is gas up whenever we can. Heard this morning places are out of gas and the gougers are active. $4.50/gallon? OMG!

Those batteries at 101 I figured last night I would order them today not knowing the sale was over yesterday. Day late and a dollar short again.

Check out the battery prices at www.RTDVapor.com . You can usually pick up premium batteries for $7 and under. Sony VCT4 is $6.79. Sony VCT5 is $8.79.

Or were you guys talking about mods on sale at 101Vape?

Haven't heard anything about prices that high, but some gas stations in NC went from $2.10 to $2.50 in between yesterday morning and yesterday afternoon. According to gasbuddy.com:
you'll be better off if you can get through NC without having to fill up. Prices in VA and SC are slightly less than in NC.

I have left both of the "conversations" in which I was recently included due to it being too much work for me to try and keep up with what have become two additional porches. For whatever reason, new messages don't want to clear easily from my inbox notifications, even after I've visited the page. I have no problem with the initial purpose of either of those conversations!

Yea the governor of Ga said that was a no no here. The last time we had a has scare we had one part of town up $.25 and another up $.60, but they claimed that was not gouging...

If any of you ordered one of these back around the beginning of July, when the listed price was $10, the time limit for getting a refund is nearing. I never got mine, and I assume anyone else who ordered at that price never got theirs either. I post because it was me (I think) who pointed out what a good deal it was. Spending $10 and gettin' nuttin' is not a good deal.

Just filled up my Ram Big Horn's 32 gallon tank and my Wife's Ford Flex at $2.20 a gallon. Kroger's pumps were out of Mid and Premium grades in Macon. Good thing my Hemi can run on regular! It's supposed to run mid grade or better.

Outside of a few stations that ran completely out, there hasn't been a serious shortage here. That could change if the backup fuel trucks from north of here don't make it soon. Prices are up 10% or so.

I got mine - and 'back then' it was Prime eligible (and "fulfilled by Amazon"), so it got here in two days. However, they don't come with a prop guard so I ordered separately a little kit that had a guard and 16 spare props. Unbeknownst to me (just didn't notice when ordered) the kit came from China and took a month to get here!

I'm leaving for SC on Saturday. Maybe things will have improved a bit ... The governors of VA, NC, SC, and GA (I think) all invoked the "no gouging" provisions. Guess it all depends on how you define "it!"

Well Dave said it is flowing again so maybe gouging will not happen, but it will take a few days to get to the pumps.

Yep that Cherry Blossom Tea I knew it tasted like a hand lotion my mom used to use. Kenna got it Jergens. I couldn't believe the reviews like greatest cherry they've ever tasted. I haven't tried any of the others except the cinnamon roll which isn't bad but too much AP.
What % did you use it at?

I got lucky (no, not that way .. ;)) on Friday .. I had a 40 cent Kroger Card discount and a coupon for an additional 20 cents off per gallon (good that day only) .. scored 30 gallons for the Avalanche at $1.45 per gallon ..

I've been staining my deck over the last week, at least when it's dry enough to get some work in .. did a section this morning and was sweating heavy by the time I got done .. unseasonably hot temps here in Fly Over Land, hitting around 90 this week with high humidity as well ..
