Sheesh, sorry I have such low tolerance for criticisms(?) of the exposition of my actual life. I mean, I'm really really sorry that I can't see the humor but I'm perfectly capable of no longer posting my quad copter videos here. I'm thinking that would be for the best.

Dave, please tell me ya got into sum bad vinegar fer brunch! And yes, ya may not appreciate my/gary's/others' humor... but to 'posture' up against gary, ya gotta be kiddin'!
As fer our continued survival as a porch family, your vids or not, we'll still be here awaiting your contributions.

Dat being said, seriously, how are ya doin'? And I'm being totally sincere and concerned!!! In fact, please call/PM me if ya wish...

Jup! That, and acupuncture. Do they classify the nicotine gum as a drug?
Nicotine gum is regulated by FDA. Hypnosis is not, unless a medical claim is attached to it (e.g., this will help you lower your blood pressure/heal your diverticulitis/quit stinkies). Acupuncture is, under an arm of FDA that deals with complementary medicine - specifically because it uses a "device" (needles).

This is a rabbit hole. Ima climb back out, now :)

Goin' back out front.

@bigbells, I like your vids!

Dunno if you missed anything, but I can see things differently than you do, which is apparently what happened in this case. No offense, but I was talking about a reaction to a video that I created and posted, not a reaction to a video that you posted. I've learned my lesson, and won't post any more of my quad copter videos here.
Oh, c'mon, biggie. U know I was just bustin' yer bunz. The vids are great and entertaining. In fact, that wuz one o' yer best ones!

My health insurance co is just getting more & more creepy. It's time for the yearly health screening they hound us about. They called to remind me about it & want to send a Nurse Practitioner to my home to do it. They did this last year, too. I gave her the same answer I gave them last year. They are my insurance company. It is their job to pay the bills. Period. My health is private, & not their business. My Dr's & I are capable of managing any health concerns I might have. That is not the place of an insurance company, & since they are a government entity they are not welcome in my home. Ever.

I've never heard of an insurance company sending someone to the house for a screening. That's garbage ... I wouldn't agree to it either.

I have. Years ago yet. I think I was still in my twenties.

They do it for life insurance before issuing a policy someimes, but never heard of that for health insurance either

My dad's insurance co sent someone to see him after mama died. A social worker came to see if was depressed (of course he was, but she wanted to gauge the extent), and make sure he could navigate the house. Some of her suggestions were quite helpful. And dad offered her tea, a cookie, and 30 minutes of conversation :).

I know this is very different from what you're talking about, @Kenna. Dad's insurance is through a local hospital group, and they seem to be very compassionate.

No, there will be no shame. Anyone who's interested can view past and future videos of mine on my YouTube channel, where I can delete any comments that rub me the wrong way.

I'm sorry you feel this way.. I enjoy your videos. Will you at least post here when a new one is on your YouTube channel? Please? If no that's OK, your choice which I totally respect. But they will be missed. :(

We have had a nurse visit before a new insurance would issue a policy (previously covered or not), but for our routine medical exams, they better let me see my doctor. Granted, this year his wife , a nurse practitioner, did my exam, but I have no major health issues and had there been a concern, the Dr was right there.

We do all these thing with our PC Dr, my Rhuematologist, & Mom's Cardiologist. Thatvs 4-5 eval's a year. The insurance company is just over kill. It seems to me that if our Dr's think it's something we need they'll suggest it. They've been good at doing it so far. I don't think it's something I want my insurance company involved in. They can pay the bills, that is the only reason they exist for me.
