i achieved a new personal record the other night...

according to the fire dept (911 responders) my blood sugar was 21. Yay!!! Personal record!!!

they stuck in an iv, fed me 2 of yiddle's glucose tablets (which were in another room) and then made me a sammitch. after that, i got up and danced a little jig, and they decided i didn't need to go to a hospital.

i *think* i forgot i already took my meds and took them again, which, apparently is a bad thing for a diabetic. might have also forgotten to eat. it's kinda fuzzy

i remember waking up in my computer chair and the entire left side of my body was totally useless. i thought i'd had a stroke. my phone was handy, but my hands didn't work so i couldn't dial 911. somehow, i managed to dial my daughter, who called me back. sensing my inability to speak clearly, she called 911. smart girl. when the fire dept showed up, they asked if i could unlock the front door. i said "sure" since my computer desk is near the front door, and then promptly fell on the floor, where i stayed immobile til they finally found me.

much like my last incident, the fire dept was highly impressed that i could actually respond to questions when my blood sugar was that low. i should soon be in their HOF...

the highlight was when one of the firemen asked if i needed something to drink with the sammitch. all i have in the fridge are diet teas. apparently, he's a rookie, so all the other guys just gave him crap til they all left. "You gave him a diet drink, rook???"

fun times. fun times...

Back when we pulled a trailer for business I would drive the highways so DH could rest and nap. I never attempted to back it up, that was definitely his job! But he is very good at it. Now that we have downsized and everything fits into a big cargo van, we still share driving duties.

I will try to video Geordi in the ring with his breeder. Don't know if I will have someone to video if I get to take him in, but we shall see.

Say, did anybody catch the History channel show, D.B. Cooper, Case Solved? ? We did and the guys who were trying to track down THE guy had some very compelling circumstantial evidence. It was a good show and I won't give away the ending in case some would like to catch it in re-run.

Some good news. I got the results of my biopsies, this afternoon. The chemo is working!
Really great news! smiley_chicken dance.gif

I'm thinking a nice ranch in west Texas
Hmm, as long as it has a wrap around porch and fenced in yard so my dog can run free. She will keep everyone safe from those pesky blowing Walmart bags.

WE FINALLY HAVE AC!!
Glad to hear. I would not be able to survive without AC.

............You know darn well that I'M not going to hit the like button on that post....I've nagged and nagged....explained how important it is to take the Metformin properly....twice a day....over and over... and why you have to do that. Divide those glucose tablets in half....put half in your bedroom and half at your desk....and with three cell phones....get that darned app that has a reminder to take pills at a set time and put it on them !!!! You're not always in the HO where someone can get you help and you've had times you aren't capable of calling anyone, including your daughter!! You silly man....while you don't seem to care what happens to you....there are a lot of others who do, and you're not only hurting yourself, but those who care about you....

With moving, arthur has made his presence known in my left hip. After working on quilting this morning and partway into this afternoon, I got out my trusty cane and walked to the library. Spent a couple of hours there reading, then went to church. Got a ride home. Wouldn't have been able to do it without that cane, but the rest of my body was begging for exercise, and my mind was begging for social interaction. A good day.

So serious. Pills must be divvied out into those trays, so you will know when you have taken them and when you haven't.

He has more than one of those with the dividers......I've tried to get him to use them....to no avail.......
