Your link came unlinked rick lol I deleted the spaces I found, but may have missed one (or more)

Are you sayin' there's something unhinged about my posting? :glare:

I actually had to go back and reinvent that link a half dozen times to get it back to 'normal'.

True about covered and fully enclosed, but we have both, and I don't want to have to remember which bulb goes where, cuz that aint gonna happen. lol that's why I said all around, anywhere in the house bulb.

Dunno know what yoo got in your place Deb. I went through a thinkin' about what we have in the house and there is only one fixture that counts as "fully enclosed". That one is the back porch light that consists of a full globe with a gasket on the rim that goes into the fixture. and completely seals it against the elements. That is the only one that could really trap heat if it's left on long enough which could fry the electronics in one of these bulbs.

snicker!! You said it, not me! lol Oh....well.....I don't think we have anything with gaskets...... but i was thinking fully enclosed meant the kind where (oh boy can't wait to see how this is gonna come out in deb speak)........ Instead of being just sorta like a plate the screws on (thinking ceiling/overhead lights here) it's a bowl that fits over the bulbs, and the screws screw in on the sides to hold the bowl up. There.......that wasn't so bad.

wow I'm with you, commercials are just wrong........can you ff through them? Not that you should have to.......but that's one reason I dvr most every thing I watch

I've tried skipping through the commercials...nope, can't do it. There are shows I want to watch bad enough to put up with it.
For 99 cents an episode they will remove the ads. That could add up after awhile.

I'm whooped, I'm beat. I'm not sure having a day of fun is worth it any more. Getting old sucks!
[/rant]

The fly tying/fishing club I've belonged to for close to 40 years does an annual 1 day clinic to teach new comers and novices about the sport. The location is gorgeous just below a picturesque water falls in the PA Pocono Mtns (ok for you westerners, they might be hills but we call 'em mountains). We had really good turnout - about 35 folks. The cost is only $40 which include a fantastic lunch of meat balls, chili, hot dogs, burgers and all the fixings.

It's about a 2 hour drive from the house and I usually get up about 5am to get there before 8am. So last night, I whimped out on getting up so early, booked a motel room and drove up last night. So it was only a 10 minute drive this morning and i could 'sleep in'. It made the morning and afternoon so much more fun and pleasant. But yikes, after being in the cold air and cold water all day - I'm one beat old man tonight.

Wow! That is beautiful, Mike! So how did the fishing go?

I just graduated from my Roku2 to a Roku3 and I'm using HULU plus for the free 30 days and we like it pretty darned well. Just finishing up Season 10 of Deadliest Catch. We are hoping they have A.D. on it. Except for Nascar it really has a lot of good TV stuff with that and Netflix we almost could lose our $110 Dish bill every month except for Nascar.
I know. I was hoping NASCAR was going to be on broadcast TV starting next year when NBC takes over but, that's asking too much.

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!

when my son and I were still living in the same house a few years ago, we'd gotten direct tv set up...... they said you can have a free HD box, or a free DVR box. well, I didn't really know what either of those things were....so I asked her. She asked when I bought my TV, uhmmm 1996. lol sooooooo yeah she says, the HD box probably won't do you any good at all......get the DVR box. well, ok probably won't ever use it, but it might come in handy at some point. Honey, I became a DVR'in fool!! lol Even if something is on that I want to see, I'll dvr it and watch something else already dvr'd while it records. lol
Me too. Like it so much I had to get the HD version when I got my first HDTV.

Yeh, that's fully enclosed too. I have LED bulbs in all of those in my house though and haven't had any problems. YMMV.

Classy, how is it going to effect us, specially us Tapatalk users?

Dunno if all mobile devices use tapatalk or not......but according to the thread, it's posed to make mobile device users better able to use the forum. One of the big reasons they're doing it.

I see it's, in part, to accommodate mobile devices. Dere goes my petrol budget, not counting additional extension cord expenditure$...

Actually more a sustainability issue. When you have a million lines of code in a programming language no longer taught, maintenance becomes a nightmare. And sometimes you just need to scrap it all and retool the factory to make products that work/sell in a changing world.

Just put your cpu tower in the rocker next to you on the porch, and it's mobile...

they did say that was a big part of it, but also that someone was gonna start penalizing places that didn't have good software for mobile device users. didn't even know they could do that. Also, not sure how FDA regs would affect ECF but they mentioned something about that too.

I'm just curious if Tapatalk will still work with the new software. I'm kind of used to it you know. Of course if the new mobile interface works better that will make Tapatalk less useful and I can do away with it. That is except for the other 10 forums I access with it.

Goodnight all. Going to try to go back to sleep. Woke up to a minor panic attack around midnight. Gotta hate that. Feeling better now. My ..... neighbor is having his weekly backyard firepit party and making noise. Does it once a week or so. I think he works nights and has a get together on his nights off. The night of the party varies so I think it's like his Friday night. Oh well. Waddayagonnado?
