Good morning, BB! And, good-night, I hope!
I fell in love with One Note when I first saw it. But, it was only a trial version. Is it a problem to transfer over to text files to save things?
Gracie, all you have to do is click on the little box at the top of each page of your Inbox or Sent Messages, then use the pull-down menu on the bottom right of the last page to choose what to do with all the messages you just marked (Download as txt, csv, or xml).
For example, I had 7 pages of messages in my Inbox. So, I clicked that little box at the top of each of the 7 pages to mark all the messages. Then I chose to download. And, then I did the same thing to all 8 pages of messages in my Sent Messages.
Fast and easy.
As much cooking as you do - I was sure you would have one. We talk more about cooking on this thread than any other topic... (LOL)...
Mike - question of the day - Why doesn't Janet have a Convection Microwave for her kitchen??? (LOL)...
We are going back tomorrow morning some time - it should still be there since it was closing time when I saw it. If not = wait for the next good deal - me and my wife are big believers in - If it is meant to be - it will be - if not - then not - don't sweat it - there are more important things in life to worry about...
Congratulations on your entry into the 21st century of cooking. I think you will enjoy it quite a bit. Just a thought, you might want to buy the extended warranty if it's available and not too expensive. After all you don't actually know what this thing went through before it was returned to the store.
Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!
Update on Mike. Yep, he got whatever I had yesterday. Don't know if this is something going around or we just got the prize. So glad it only lasts 24 hours. I was totally miserable for 24 hours and then poof! All better. This morning Mike is upright and holding down fluid so I'd expect him to be normal in another hour or 2. So, if you wondered why he didn't post yesterday... I sure hope nobody else gets it, but at least it's a quick one.
Yep, Yep and Yep Janet and good luck with upgrading the kitchen. I do extended warranties depending upon the item that I am buying and I have also asked the salesman if he was trying to talk me out of the purchase with the big push on extended warranties.
Now, one refrigerator in the past I did buy the extended warranty and was glad I did - the main computer board was replaced twice and the control panel once - this is one case where the extended warranty paid for itself - my go on extended warranty is based on items cost and how much it relies on electronics - the fridge was one of those super fancy types and while I did not like it - my wife really wanted it - she now goes in my direction with those kind of choices...
Getting ready to head out the door now to see if that convection microwave is still around...
Oh, so true Janet!
We purchased Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer cause the reports of the brands I used to buy were more negative than positive.
Even though I have to contact a F&P dealer for repairs, I've only had one issue in the 6 years we've owned them.
I used to swear by Kenmore/Whirlpool fridges/ranges and washers. Seemed like you couldn't kill em. The past several years though we've had 2 fridges need a new compressor about 5 years after we bought them. What's up with that? The last repairman who was here said what they're making these days is junk and I'd have to agree with him. I'd definitely have to check out reports on other brands before I buy again, especially now that I want a few bells and whistles on them.
No more packaged yeller rice for moi! Mixed up some homemade last night with jasmine rice and soft chorizo; lip smackin' gooood.
Prep jasime rice with:
-water 50%
-chicken stock 50%
-sesame oil (just a lil')
-tumeric
-cumin
-smoked paprika
Saute in butter:
-onions
-minced garlic
-roasted red peppers
-carrots, medium dice
Then add 'skinned' chorizos (three small links per cup of uncooked rice), break up lumps/chunks and saute till done (do not drain). Dump mixture into cooked rice and mix well.
Am very happy with da yeller rice. Now how 'bout some happy rice...

If my recollection is correct, Sears actually manufactured their own appliances back in the day. And that would have been our last top loading washer that I repaired until I could no longer get parts for it. Got a good 20 years out of that washer.
Now they outsource everything and manufacture nothing. Including the "Kenmore" most expensive dehumidifier we got - that broke down within 5 months, was repaired under warranty, broke down again one month out of warranty - and ended up on a recall list as a fire hazard - three years later.
At the time of the second failure within 13 months I raised hell with Sears, citing that the thing was obviously a $250.00 lemon, and expecting their former "we stand by our appliances" response. What I got was "Don't care,. Pound salt. You should buy another Kenmore dehumidifier to replace it."
And that was the last appliance we ever bought from Sears.
They lost out on a kitchen remodel, two bathroom remodels, a 'fridge and dishwasher replacement, a front loading washer, two room air conditioners and a freezer. About $5,000.00 worth of business went elsewhere, all over their crappy attitude regarding a crappy $250.00 dehumidifier that was so bad it ended up on a recall list.
I'm hungry also. It's Monday and I don't mean to brag, but it's been almost five hours and I'm still doing good on my diet.![]()
