Breathe deep the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament,
Another day's useless energy spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son,
Senior citizens wish they were young.
Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colours from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white.
But we decide which is right.
And which is an illusion?
Moody Blues

It won't be that different, Semi. The ECF Forum is a forum and it will still be a forum. FB is.... uh... something else, not sure what.
ECF may be a forum but the back porch is our home. Any time it goes away I am concerned it won't come back or be the same. I don't want to do without you guys and gals!

hey, hey, hey .... may get some chores done tomorrow mooring if'n there's no ECF.

Yo Matt - I almost drove over to your house last night to see if you were still up. Yikes, went to bed at 11pm, read 'till midnight, then put the lights outs to go to sleep and woke wide awake. Laid in bed for an about an hour then gave up on sleep and came down stairs and putzed around for another few hours. I think is was around 4am when I went back to bed and got a few hours sleep.
I actually had a great nights sleep last night. First in a long time. Actually worked my .... of yesterday and was really tired when I went to sleep. Of course the fact that I hadn't had a good night sleep in about 4 days might have helped too. We'll see tonight. Worked on the house all day today. Installed a new range hood in the kitchen. Also went to Lowe's and picked up the tile for the backsplash in the kitchen. Tomorrow will be the install day. 30 Sq. Feet of mosaic tile. Pic in a few as soon as I get up and take it.

This is what I'm installing tomorrow. The squares are 1/2 inch to a side. 1/8" apart.

I am going to be offline for a while starting tomorrow.
So far, the expected computer crash has not happened. Long story short.
Problem resolved. Someone was angry at me, and set a password to essentially crash my computer. 8-o I picked the earliest possible restore point, and bypassed it. Just a bit of thinking.

Before I lose touch due to the "outage"...I'll be leaving for Africa on Monday, the 27th, and returning May 11th. We're working with a Bible school in Ethiopia. I sure would appreciate your prayers!!! I'll check in when I return!
My prayers go with you and your companions. Hope to hear some wonderful stories when you get back.

What a couple of weeks this has been! My FIL passed away on Sunday, with his wife (of 67 years) and six of his kids at his side. It was a blessing, but much faster than anyone expected. I'm off to AZ, tomorrow; the funeral is on Saturday. Didn't want anyone to think I'd gone missing, again! Anyway, he was a fascinating man - one of the Greatest Generation. Spent three years in the Navy during WWII, much of it on a submarine called Kingfish in the South Pacific. Then, he married his grade school sweetheart, started a business, had eight kids, and lived a long and full life. Very cool guy.

@Sushi, absolutely will keep you in my prayers. Safe travels!

So sorry to hear about your FIL. I believe he's having a well deserved rest in eternal comfort. Have a safe trip to AZ.

Our prayers and condolences out to you and yours!

Oh my, the 'Kingfish', what an outstanding honorable WWII history!

There is no bound to my love of and highest respect for the 'Greatest Generation'!!! My heart breaks each time I hear of a GG passing.

May you and yours cherish, embrace and pass on to your future generations the selfishness that, unfortunately, may never ever be surpassed en mass again!

My heart aches, but yet knows that he is still a selfless warrior and hero, at last in eternal PEACE...

Well said Iffy, but I think you meant selflessness? And speaking of selflessness, just turned on the Phils/Marlins game and they have some Tuskegee airman present!

I can't help but get nervous about our big ECF move. Hope they've done some pre-testing before launch. Hopefully it will go smoothly because I'd sure hate to loose track of anyone! I can just picture myself getting lonely drifting around in the ether trying to find you! Fortunately I have Mike here to figure it out. I'm technology challenged (ask my kids) so it's good that he's here to show me the way - as long as he can figure it out.

You found the person who did it & kicked them, right. Just so they'll really have something to be mad about.

Say it with me
"Social media site"
It's about the only way I'm able to keep up with nieces and nephews... Since they were the last generation to write letters... When they were younger.

So will the tiki bar on the beach

wish I could be there with ya!! Sounds like heaven.

Absolutely!!! Prayers for all of you til you return, and looking forward to hearing some great stories.

First off, I replaced my work bench 100W incandescent flood with an 8.5W (60W equivalence) Ultra 5700K. IMO, the 'whiter' LED appears brighter; probably due to the higher K 'temp'. It also has a wider defined pattern. Remarkable at ~12% of the wattage!

TBH, I prefer the 2700Ks for bedroom and closet lighting; not as intense. Might try lower wattage LEDs when I run out of my incandescents and LEDs.

Thanks hun!!! And what a great tribute to the GG I wholeheartedly agree!!

Prayers for y'all too sweetie!! Safe travels.

Is these the right link for the google hangout. Nothing on the page identifies what 'hangout' it is. How do you know whose 'hangout' it is?

https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/g7ftjgujoqpufbn2ncydiussgaa

Yes it is........I just changed the name of it when I bookmarked it. Don't know how to change the name of a link. Hmmm maybe that's the next thing I need to learn. Have learned a lot this year!!

woweeeee don't even know HOW someone did that....... but so glad you were able to get around it!!! That's horrible.

Jup they have done quite a lot of testing, and that is why the date keeps changing. And they found out it will take longer than they'd first realized. No way to know if it will work, but they're trying to do it as much right the first time as they can.....so there will be less issues afterwards.
