Meet Me in St Louie Louie
I put $20K out of pocket into my teeth to try and get them solid enough to keep playing trombone but no dice. Spent it out of my 401K actually, once I could withdraw from it without penalty.

Haven't had a trombone in my hands for more than an hour total in the past 7 years.

But, I can throw in some piano. Never needed teeth for that.

My piano abilities are in line with many other things. Don't know if I'm a jack of all trades but I'm definitely master of none.

OK, then .. we now have an arthritic guitar player, a former trombonist whose fake teeth put the kibosh on the 'bone but will sit in with a keyboard, and Johnny has still said nothing .. yet, with the spoons, comb, (saw .. ??) etc, previously mentioned, we're gearing up .. this could be a remake of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" ..

We won't be the "Soggy Bottom Boys" .. we'll be the "___________ Boys"

I think it's very cool that y'all have Deb's Place, just don't forget your other pals that love to chat and hang with y'all on the porch too. And that's my :2c: :).

Think I've been dere 'bout five or six times. It is a hoot! But I normally go dere when da porch(es) traffic has ebbed. Believe me, it is not an exclusive club! Think I've mentioned it twice on da back porch, but only to encourage others to sate their visual curiosity. Other than a very few spicier (aka unmoderated) expressions, it's da same atmosphere that is shared on the porches. And possibly, even more effective in equipment demonstrations, show & tell visuals, pet shows and showcasing artistic abilities!

I 'check in' on da porches (maybe too) many times a day. Had a local power outage last night and had to go to my higher mg PV! BUT, our porchers are my addiction in sharing in my appreciation; not only due our 'family', but also for what da total forum has bequeathed me.

Due to my life experiences, I can name at least two aspects of life that I despise, elitism and cliques! Think it difficult to come to that conclusion re this giving group!

Nonetheless, I appreciate and can relate to your viewpoint. As others have proffered, this isn't da most active time of da porch cycle (ask Semi).

... a 4 time visit for me, is, in fact, more than I have visited some friends I've known for over 10 years .. hell, I have neighbors I talk to less ..

BINGO! Haven't seen my brother since his BD, Mar 20th (12 miles)!

So, for me, and speaking for me alone .. I drift toward "A good thing done in moderation" .. that said, it's a wonderful thing, populated by great folks .. it's fun to visit, but I don't want to live there .. ;)

Amen!

Them there appear to be spare ribs

I agree wid Deb on dis 'un; locally called country ribs here.

Next time smear em with a little BBQ sauce...

Da only reason I didn't hit da 'Like' button on Dave's post, was I don't encourage ketchup usage on pork or beef!
BTW, it took me years to stop Patty from pre-boiling 'em!!! Ergo, I had to cook 'em...

Iffy - you have traveled Asia - I am sure you have seen a lot of things used on pork or beef that you would not touch, but they loved it. (LOL)...

I use ketchup on a lot of things - mustard too. Imagine this - I like mustard in my grits... Adds a bit of spicy to them. My aunt would not let me do it at her table - Nope. Not even a little.

Any of ya'll heard of the Hudson Yards project in New York? They are going to build office skyscrapers and curvy apartment towers, a slate of shows and restaurants, an arts building and a public square in a 26-acre stretch over the top of the Railroad yard downtown... :w00t:

I do like mustard and ketchup in things, just not used as a bbq sauce by itself. I put both in baked beans, along with a lot of other ingredients. Gotta have some K in meatloaf as well, but don't put it on top as a sauce.

we have a competing board?

but I am one of those people that put ketchup on my hot dog, which, according to hubby, borders on sacrilege....
he is correct!! mustard and onions on a dog, that's it! Unless you chili cheese onions route, (but some mustard with that is good also) this applies to brats, or other asst tube type meat as well.

I've been having a good birdwatching day. I'm definitely right next to, if not in, a major migration flyway. The latest visitors are orioles - Baltimore and Orchard, and Rose Breasted Grosbeaks. Combined with the Goldfinches and House Finches that hang around all year, it's been very colorful out there.

I'm still trying to come up with some way to mount a camera outside that I could have some sort of a remote shutter on. Taking pictures through an old double pane window just doesn't do them justice. These are all from the last hour:

and don't even need the hot dog with all that cuz ya can't taste it! (which in some cases would be a good thing, but I usually do kosher dogs)

I knew when I typed it that it would only be a matter of who got to it first! You win!!
