You ladies are sounding like my Aunt. When she was growing up she used to sneak off to go to dance offs - she had trophies for the Charleston, the Twist, etc. from contest she had won. She continued dancing into her 40's.

Your aunt had the right idea Semi, I'm convinced that a bit of good music and a turn on the dance floor now and then keeps ya young. :)

I have an uncle that is 82 and he still goes dancing every Saturday. When he was in his 30's he was a dance instructor and he will tell you that the ladies loved him back then, but love him more now...

always did love me some Aerosmith Jeff!

Me too Deb, I still remember how blown away I was when I discovered their first album back in nineteen and seventy four, although Rocks remains my favorite album they've put out, love me some "Back in the Saddle" and "Last Child".

In 1974 I was more of a Santanna, Black Sabbath, Rare Earth, Cream, and Pink Floyd - still cannot get enough of Dark Side of the Moon.

I can pass on Black Sabbath now adays though. To rough on the ears now...
Now that surprises me. Not sure what music I would have pegged you with, but not that! lol

I'd love to BB, but Michael Jackson was more my speed back then, so if ya can Moonwalk you're on! :rickroll:
Oh well, maybe next time. Anything more complicated than The Electric Slide is beyond my pay grade.

I also liked country, jazz, disco, and the blues, but on party nights - I was good old rock and roll...

You should see my Canary Yellow Leisure Suit that I was famous for during my Disco Days (LOL)... (I do not know if I should admit that on an open internet) - LOL

Now, soft music - country and maybe a little country rock (I think they still call it that)...

Funny you should mention Ozzie, I just heard "Children of the Grave" on XM the other night, as soon as the beginning of the song came on hubby and I looked at each and grinned, another oldie but goodie to turn up way too loud and obnoxious and play the air guitar with...:D

Believe it or not Doree got me a Pink Floyd T-shirt for Christmas last year. One of my absolute favorite bands. I really feel that "Dark Side of the Moon" is a masterpiece that will be like Mozart or Beekman in a hundred years. Musically it's perfect. I have heard the London Symphony play parts of it and it's amazing.

Hey, your the youngin of the group - I would think that you would be more open minded. LOL May sound silly now and when I look at the suit today - even I cannot believe I used to wear that - I have not mentioned some of the others that I still have - the yellow one was one of the tame ones... LOL

I got married in 1979 in a pale, lime green leisure suit. Complete with cheap hotel pants (no ballroom). They were so tight that when I pulled the wedding ring out it flipped out and rolled under the Justice of the Peace's couch. Gotta picture the Judge and I on our knees under the couch with our butts in the air looking for the ring. Funny now, not so much then.
