mine was 1/2 way between hiney and knees until I moved here to sil's house 2.5 yrs ago.

Mine was long enough to sit on at one time. Then came Willie Nelson's New Year's Eve concert & the fire. Literally.

For anyone using chrome.......just found this post.........tried it and after a bit of trial and error, I have a color scheme that is not so hard on the eyes, and it doesn't mess up my smilies.
How do you change the color?

I wanted a pair of those jeans sooooo bad! But at 5' 9 1/2" I could seldom find any pants long enough, even wearing flats. I was lucky to find any that hit below my ankle. They didn't have women's sizes in talls back then. My mother tells me I'm legs from the shoulders down. They are a little easier to find now, in jeans anyway.

I'm 5'10" and have been since I was 14 so I know where you're coming from. Finding a pair of women's slacks with a 33" inseam was impossible. My grandmother made my slacks for me and I can remember finding a couple of pairs of Turtle Bax elephant bells that actually dragged the ground on me with flats on. Wore them out...

From Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Supertramp, Tom Petty to the Pet shop Boys to Maynard Ferguson and BB King I have quite the eclectic music collection. I like just about everything except hip hop and most rap (do you call what Kid Rock does sometimes rap?). One of the main qualifications for me to listen is quality. Music has certain rules and they are there for reason (don't ask me what they are, I can't sing a note or play anything other than a Jew's harp) and the number one I you should be good at what your playing. When I'm listening I can hear when the artist knows what their doing. Some "big" names are clueless and some "unknowns" are outstanding. I've even got a bluegrass band out of Alabama that plays Metallica music. They're great and it shows that Metallica are good musicians because their music translates well to other formats. I will post some of it if I can figure out how.

Is the bluegrass one the same one that does Thunderstuck by AC/DC?

Hey y'all. I was so excited this afternoon!! I thought I was going to get to go home early....not much going on around here.......then I get into work and find a doggone aircraft engine sitting in the hangar!! WTH??? So, I'm stuck here because I'm the only one qualified to run the forklift to load this engine out of here tonight, and it wasn't even for one of our aircraft!!! BUZZARDS!!!!!! With all the bad weather that passed through, three aircraft got stuck offshore and got damaged by hail and wind. We're the closest drop off point for stuff coming in offshore, so here it is.

On the bright side, I got somebody to teach me how to make my phone a hot spot so I could get on the Internet. The truck won't be here for another hour and a half. Hey, at least I can pass my time waiting the way I want to.

Had to post a final photo of the end result in the kitchen. Doree did most of the tiling and grouting and it looks marvelous. I am very proud of her. The kitchen looks great. I sure hope it helps the place sell fast. Got the deck refinishing done as well and will post a pic as soon as I can take one. It's a little dark out for photos right now.

Boy that's pretty! Don't you wish you'd done it before?

You ladies are sounding like my Aunt. When she was growing up she used to sneak off to go to dance offs - she had trophies for the Charleston, the Twist, etc. from contest she had won. She continued dancing into her 40's.

Still dancing in her 40's? I don't know what you're talking about, Willis. I STILL dance every chance I get........even across the hangar floor if the song is good.

Holy cow! 43 more posts in the past 90 minutes that I haven't read yet.
That dual pain glass, Matt, is a pain in the .... and where else?
Y'all ought to be able to view this short funny video regardless of whether or not you have a Facebook account, since it was posted publicly. I don't know if I've put it in this post correctly, though.

That is just hilarious! Those arms flapping around!! I lol'd & blew in my drip tip, & vaped out the airflow!

What I enjoy is the younger folks that say they wouldn't be caught dead in what we used to wear, but when it comes back with a different name it's great. I was wearing a pair of yoga pants around the house the other day and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and went "Hey, hiphugger flares!" And then there's pedal pushers coming back as capris, and so on. (Though, guys, I don't think the leisure suit will ever come back.)

I did like bell bottoms, though. I have always had generous hips (though now pretty much everything except the chest is generous) and long legs, so for me they kind of balanced things out. And tie dye, but I remember dying my own. Kind of lazy batik. My still-in-the-closet garment is a knife pleated plaid maxi skirt. I couldn't get into it now, but I just loved that, and had a lot of fun on most of the occasions when I wore it. Most of my life has been spent in jeans and flannel shirts, though.

Oh the maxi's & mini's! I loved the way we dressed! The one thing I wish I'd been able to hang onto Is my navy wool maxi pea coat. That was one awesome coat! My mom is a fantastic seamstress, & we were always dressed in the latest. I think she had three girls just so she could play dress up to her hearts content. Easter outfits were her favorite. She would make my middle sister & I different outfits outt of the same or co=ordinating fabrics. One set I'll never forget were an almost neon pink woven floral in 1967. That's the year the youngest sister was born & the same year I made her stop dressing me like my little sister. That is a hilarious memory. The clothes were awesome, tho. The only problem I had was getting her the make the pants longer & the skirts shorter. To me the pants were never long enough. Can I puhleeze get a 35" inseam minimum? Skirts were easier to deal with. Roll the waistband up!

I've been this height since I was 13. Never had a pair long enough until the 80's when Gloria Vanderbilt started her line of jeans. They were long enough & fit like a glove. I never could wear most of the other designer jeans. Too much ..... Those were the first jeans I found that actually fit other than one random pair of hip hugger bell bottoms I got in the early 70's & those were borderline short. But hip huggers can be pushed down some.
