Of course, he's been doing his thing upside down for quite a while... but you don't have to do his inverted sit-ups to benefit from one

I once tried to do something upside down .. I believe to this day it was the original cause of the backpain .. the sad part was, I lost track of her over the years .. but man, talk about flexible .. ;)

It's been pretty cool here overall but we have the 70's coming in finally on Sunday.

You know how that works around here Fran: I'll believe it if/when it actually happens. New England weather forecasts are sorta like political campaign promises - you usually don't get what they say you are gonna get.

Hay! My quit banner thingee down there finally updated. First time it's changed the numbers since I put it up last Saturday.

Someone else mentioned theirs had begun working, but I'm not sure if it's "working" or if it just updated. They will update from time to time

Just don't go barefoot in a field of clover.

How well I know. . . but I didn't see any bees.

Also thinking about chickens but, I think the Abby Dog might have something to say about that one.

The man my son bought his car from had a big setter. He had chickens and the dog would pick them up and bring them to him if he found them. Uncracked too. My dogs would see "appetizers".

Red Solo Cup attached to the end ..
I can envision what that would look like.

I'm sure if I added a wadded up tissue or even a cotton ball, I'd get even MORE attention

Or borrow some of Mike's wicks. They'd never get lost and easy removal. :p

"Save the Blue Winkie" campaign ..
Blue. . . nevermind

Since I was diagnosed with Threadacarophobia and never leave the soft, warm comfort of our space here, I am just out of the loop on what's happening in the Outside World .. but it's good to know there is an uproar .. add that to the list along with World Hunger .. :)
I'm pretty much with you. I hang around the back porch almost exclusively these days. Went to the front by accident and couldn't figure, out what the hell they were talking about,of course I am like 50 pages behind.

Why, why ,why? did the new format have to make loading a picture such a PIA? All I wanted to do is maybe sell a Provari Mini 2.5, and it turns into a 3 ring circus W/O the clowns. I've loaded pics for at least 20 yrs. and now I need a computer programming degree to put up a picture. Just shoot me now and call me a dinosaur.

LOL that's what I mean, Semi. The post above mine could be about anything and I come along and go completely in another direction. I like that no one says..."stay on topic". I have seen that on a lot of forums.
Going any direction on the back porch is "on topic". I like the oblique direction changes here sometimes. :w00t:

I know it's treading on sacred ground, but like I've said before, after seeing the same type threads and rants on ECF over the years, I just have no interest .. and since I still use a PV setup that Leonardo Da Vinci invented, and have no burning desire for the new Platinum Mega Hoser Cloud Rain Inducing Gigawatt Blow Your Socks Off Limited Edition Diamond Encrusted Convertible Up To The Minute Open Your Wallet PV, well, you get the picture ..

Either way - to get a dog to act like a puppet on cue would not be an easy task.

I watched that video online the other day. Apparently the guy is a ventriloquist and some said he used a device to get the dog to open it's mouth. Some argued it was cruel. Regardless, the dog did not looked stressed to me and it sure was funny! The look on Simon Cowell's face was priceless! "We had a talking dog!!".

Poked my head in the Hangout for a second just to see if it worked for me .. I think my bandwidth must be low .. I'm streaming some hi res video at the same time, but it looks like if I start clean, it will work out .. what kind of audio / video quality do you usually get .. ??

I always figured that was the whole point .. a free style, free wheelin' exchange of random thoughts with no real consensus .. much like the Gubment .. ;)

Most years we get a lot of snow, but this winter it seemed to have decided to go vacation on the East coast. I don't think we even got two feet total, and it was dry going into winter.

I personally take credit for the lack of snow here. I have been living under a weather curse* for most of my life, and I bought a nice little electric snow blower that I only got to use once.

* The worst was when we had a garden center and decided to do contract snow removal at a townhouse development. The first year we were paid a flat amount per month and there was over four feet of snow on the ground by New Years day. So we were getting up at 4:00 AM every day and working our behinds off while losing money. So the next year we contracted to be paid per time - so we only got two heavy snow falls all winter.

And of course buying the garden center/yard care business to start with meant that I caused a massive two year drought.:-x

I think that the thing I miss most about living at the farmstead is having chickens. They are so much fun, plus you get eggs. But little rural towns (even with a population of 80) are the worst about allowing "barnyard" animals. They seem to just really want to seem urban.
I'm thinking of keeping 3 or 4 chickens when we get out to the country. A lot of cities these days allow chickens, at least around here (Virginia). Down in South Florida I'm not sure so I'll have to wait until we get down there.
My big question is what the heck I do with all the eggs, even 4 chickens will overload me with eggs pretty quickly. Do all hens lay daily? I don't really know. I want eggs but will end up giving some of them away.

jup, but sometimes it's those little nothing things, that mean the most.

OH. was talkin bout you earlier, were yur ears burnin? A friend on the reo lounge went flower shoppin yesterday for a bunch of flowers to plant. She said among other things, she got some lilacs, and she loves em. So I told her bout you

Please tell me you didn't tell her everything you know about me.

Where I grew up, my Mom had this huge lilac bush in our front yard. In the spring you could just step out our front door and smell those beautiful flowers. When I smell them now, I am right back in my parent's yard so many years ago. There are my favorite. I have heard that smells evoke memories more than any other of our senses and I think that is probably true.

kinda depends on what type of things folks are using. Sometimes bells freezes up a bit, not sure why, but most of the time it's really good for me. can hear folks clearly and they seem to be able to hear me too.

Commentary on Chickens .. Nasty Creatures and Sometimes just Flat out Mean .. Great if you're Doing the Chicken Dance .. they eat, they poop (and as with Birds in general, it's #1 and #2 at the same time due to digestive tract) .. they strut around like they own the place .. If I want an egg, I'll buy some .. Sorry Matt, you're my Brother From Another Mother, but sometimes it's just time for an intervention .. you want a Yard Bird .. ?? Get a Peacock .. they look great and are quite mellow ..

Reasonably good. Kind of herky, jerky (technical term). Works okay, the better the bandwidth the better the video. I've been having connection problems with it just disconnecting for no reason every once in a while. I turn off WiFi on my tablet and then turn it back on, forcing DHCP to assign another IP address and it works for a while.
