It was yesterday, Deb. It went well. They wanted 13 vials of blood, a tb test. 3 sticks later & barely getting the blood they needed, they sent a couple of blocks for a chest xray. I go back Monday so they can read the tb test. When the lab results comeback i'll get a call for a appointment to go somewhere else for something else. So it's going to be a little longer than I thought before I get the actual infusion. I did get more info. I'm one for 48 people in the world to get this. We are divided into 2 groups. The first group has already gone thru & got 100K stem cells. The 2people my Dr sent thru had some good results but not great. My group is getting twice the # of stem cells, so 200K. It's not a stem cell transplant like most people think of. They do it by infusion, the cells are programmed for the immune system. Object is to target & reduce or eliminate inflamation & somewhat repair damage to joints. They have no clue how much it will work, if at all, or how long it will last. Could be a month, could be forever.Kenna.......how'd it go today???
No, that would be ship seex. No room, too many candles.Ah. And that wood call for sea men?
Mebbe the last one in da fleet will have some room. Gotta keep da faith! No, that would be ship seex. No room, too many candles.
yeah I realized that after the 2nd or 3rd time I said today lol oh well. Glad it went well, and the worst of the pretesting is over. Glad they got the blood they needed, I know you were worried bout that. Still sending up prayers for ya sweetieIt was yesterday, Deb.

North of 30000 your looking at gold plated ones. Mine are behind the ear with 4 microprocessors, 10 channels of equalization and fully programmable as to frequency curve of amplification. Made by Oticon. I understand the VA is giving out Oticon now too but, the next model up with Bluetooth as well so they act as headphones. My Oticon were around $5,000 total. Insurance paid half at the time, going to VA for my next ones. Mine where top of the line a couple of years ago so yes $30,000 is a bit too much in my opinion by about 20 grand. That is a good article. They didn't review brands, they just reviewed features. I think that is a tip-off to the fact that HA's are almost infinitely customizable, so if you have the options of several brands, it is best to list the features you want, then go looking across brands for whatever HA will fill the bill.
My previous ones were that brand. I liked them, although the technology got dated. One of the worst problems with hearing devices, IMHO. But new ones are also nice.
Legs, too.
I am also a member there, and I just got back in! Been a long time since I participated, but I learned a LOT! Don't get receiver in the canal, unless you enjoy going to their office to get repairs. I prefer to get mine fitted as if for someone with more severe loss, because I don't like the chirp when feedback suppression kicks in. I think that technology is oversold.
My current ones are Behind the Ear Hearing Aids, BTE Hearing Aids The advantage for me is that they are not far away from here. A hard-to-fit friend of mine actually went there to their clinic. They ended up hiring away our Mayo audi.
North of 30,000$ ???? You are really looking for high-end ones, then!
Hyundai Veloster. My post cancer mid life crisis.Veloster?
I'll take that!Happy Birthday Kenna, what are you now about 39?
Now there's a mental picture I didn't need!well butter my .... and call me a biscuit! Never woulda thunk that. Kewl
It is a safety thing but I'm not sure of the rules for metal in the old nuclear oven.Well, budder ...., (snicker) I'm thinkin' itz a safety thing. If they had a list of what metal you can use and what you can't... just confuse the helk out of a lot a idjuts (like me). So easier to say no metal.
On da udder hand, a stainless bowl may not heat properly since the metal "may" stop the microwaves from penetrating. But dunno.
Another mental image I didn't need!glad ya didn't butter my ...., I'd have slid right off the couch onto the floor.![]()
