o/t--hang in there everyone in Florida and up the coast line. (my bff is heading north and west to her mom's from Myrtle Beach).. i went through Hurricane Ike and lost about 98% of my stuff and most of my home. trust me,, if it dont fit in your car you dont need it.---thats the hard part for many people. a huge reason i am a minimalist now. the most important things actually breath,, family, friends and pets.... and they all made it fine.

i know now is not the time to talk about 'stuff'.. but many of us after Ike took on a 3ft rug rule for each family member. --if it fits in that area you can keep it.. other wise mother nature is going to free you of that item at some point. my 'rug' is about 2x2 if that. a packed laptop bag with all of my vape gear, paperwork/usb sticks, jewelry + laptop. it travels with me. 1 husband and 1 dog. husband can take whatever tools fit in his truck.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I do think it's the tar that contribute to respiratory issues in a big way.
I don't smoke and don't worry about all the carp that they discover or think they do in vaping. Nothing can come close to the damage I did smoking a pack a day for 35 years. I think the biggest problem is that some use 5 volts or 15 watts, and some need 100-400 watts for Gawd knows what. And to utilize all of the 100-400 watts, some need to drop the resistance to less that 1. I think that's a great method for releasing bad toxic chemicals, which are not the intention of vaping for a healthier life.

Vaping mega wattage and how it relates to releasing bad chemicals is not what i was talking about at all .

I was referring to how much more juice the typical vapor consumes these days .

I myself believe you don't need to vape high wattage to do serious damage to your health over time if in fact your vaping juice with diketone levels that are anywhere close to "Five Pawns" levels.

As far as "tar" , no doubt thats one of many factors that contribute to respiratory issues.

These auto insurance people are nuts. I get a bill. Hubby decides he'll go find his own. I call the insurance company and take him off the policy. The bill for $1700 is due next week (for both). If I pay the whole lump some, the price is $200 less. So I tell her to send a new bill and I'll pay it in full to get the discount. She says that I have to pay the whole present bill now to get the discount, then the insurance company will send me the balance back. That means mailing them $700 more than what I'll pay so they can mail it back a month later? She says she can't calculate me a new bill by next week, so yes I need to pay the whole amount for a discount. (what's funny is if I was adding someone, they could do that immediately!)
So I go onto my husband's cheaper insurance and cancel this one, and email her to cancel.

She says I need to fill out this form! (Or what?) I don't need to do anything but not pay. And won't have to live without $700 for 30 days to get that discount.
Ha! They all hate it when you tell me them "no, that's a stupid way to do it. I think I'll do it this way." That's 1 month interest on 700.00 that they won't be getting & won't get either.

I call social security to get my check direct deposit. They insist everyone do it, but I've been asking for a year now. So of course the robot puts me on hold-then tells me the average wait time is 40 minutes! Do people actually wait that long?
I've never had to wait very long.

Flying an issue, is it? Have a trip home planned.
Not from what I can tell. All batts, & hardware, low or empty tanks, & a little juice in your carry on, the rest of your juice in your luggage. No batts on luggage, & all removeable batts in plastic cases.

Trust me, I don't particularly like it either. Yesterday's meetings went well; pain management doctor actually listened for a change, dropped the oxy meds and switched her to hydromorphone for break-through pain. He also prescribed a lidocaine patch that should help. Then told us that if the pain continues to increase or doesn't get better to just send him an email and he'd send in a new script for stronger fentanyl patches. He doesn't want to try another nerve block, because the last one did more harm than good.

The meeting with Pharmacy Resource Specialist went well, also. She looked over all of our paperwork and assured us that we do qualify for Merck's PAP (Patient Assistance Program). She put all of that together with some more paperwork from the doctor about the trial and sent that off to Merck. She was very nice and understanding, and she assured us that she would follow through on the process for us. It could take up to a week, but she says it is often closer to about 3 days. Assuming that we get approved, we'll still have to wait for the meds to get here, then schedule an appointment with the trial group. They have to run a bunch of tests (blood work, scans, etc.) before they will let her start taking the meds. So, we continue to play the waiting game...

On a vaping note, I left the house yesterday to take the trip across town (at least an hour, one way) and all I took with me was my rock solid and reliable mechanical squonker with one spare battery and a full juice bottle in the mod (full of my Brickhouse Custard). I've switched the RDA to a modded Nipple RDA, and that made for a completely worry-free day... vape-wise. ;) I LOVE that thing! No muss; no fuss. Vaping the way it should be! :D
Great news, Kaezz! Yeah, you have to do all that stuff to let them establish a starting baseline because it's a trial.

That looks similar to the ones I got, only mine don't have a built in mouth piece. I like them, it's nice that all you need is the bottom of the chimney. They do change the vape a bit, makes it a tad warmer. :)

These are the ones I got....

$1.69 Replacement Acrylic Bell Cap for Kayfun Mini RTA Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$1.69 Replacement Acrylic Bell Cap for Kayfun Mini RTA Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$1.69 Replacement Acrylic Bell Cap for Kayfun Mini RTA Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I don't think it is a built-in driptip on $1.62 Replacement Acrylic Bell Cap for Kayfun Lite Five Pawns at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping I think it is an elevated socket for the drip-tip, five pawns-style. The ones for KF mini also fit on a Lite +?

I have in hand your letter of Sept 29, concerning the no smoking policy. I have not smoked for two and a half years. However, due to technicalities, I am now considered a smoker because I vape. If I were to vape a liquid containing no products derived from tobacco, I would still be considered a smoker.

You listed a concern with “increased risk of fire.” People over 60 who vape do not seek adventure. We are generally content with single-battery regulated mods at under 15 watts. The actual risk for battery explosion is negligible under those conditions. Media tends to exploit those situations because the public fears a movement that threatens tobacco-based industry. This is nothing compared to the danger of fire from dropped cigarettes or neglected cooking appliances. If there is a concern about rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, then they should be banned in any application from the property.

Secondly, you listed a concern with the “known health effects of secondhand tobacco smoke.” This is my concern, also. I only recently moved from an environment rife with environmental toxins, and had significant health problems as a result. I understand the problem, and share a disgust with other non-smokers for the smell of burned tobacco. I (nearly) always ask when I want to vape in the presence of others.

Researchers have found no reason for concern about secondhand vapor. Some have found toxic substances, but fail to mention that the concentrations are so low as to pose no risk. (articles included)

1. http://www.treatobacco.net/en/page_528.php

2. http://www.ecigarette-research.org/research/index.php/whats-new/whatsnew-2015/226-sp

3. http://ntr.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2013/12/10/ntr.ntt203.short

4. http://www.webmd.com/smoking-cessation/news/20140903/e-cigarette-vapor-may-be-less-toxic-than-tobacco-smoke-study

In my own experience, after years of fighting both an anxiety disorder and smoking, I impulsively bought an electronic cigarette at ________. From that day on, I have had no cigarettes, and the smell and thought of smoking has been repulsive. Others have had more difficulty using electronic cigarettes to quit smoking, but “accidental quitting” is frequently seen on https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ Many choose to gradually reduce their nicotine consumption to 0, although I prefer to stay at 3mg/ml.

In sum, I believe that the stated reasons for banning smoking on the property are legitimate when applied to burning tobacco. They have no relevance to the use of “electronic cigarettes, pipes or vaporizers.” Therefore the use of those devices should be exempted from the “No Smoking Policy.”

Sincerely,

AACK!!! Just got a letter from my landlord. Begins with "Due to the increased risk of fire, and the known health effects of secondhand tobacco smoke....." Includes electronic cigarettes, pipes or vaporizers. So I have to get my data together, but I have it all covered. Need to write it all up, and send it in by Thursday. Board meeting on the 12th. Will head downtown to show the letter to the vapeshop owner for more suggestions.
Nail them with the FDA's statements that the effects of vaping are unknown. Look for the Royal College of Physicians reportn & the reports showing no secondhand effect from vaping.

Sorry, I wouldn't tell them I vaped in my place.

Not saying to blow huge clouds all day, but if I can chain vape in a Westin and the maid can't tell an hour later, or in a rental car 5 min before I drop it off, I wouldn't expect a landlord to know.

Vaping isn't smoking is my excuse.
Yep.

My hubby got both of us set up for direct deposit with SS. He says it was really easy. He went to mysocialsecurity.com, signed in to his account and set it up.
I'm on SS Disabilty & my checks have been direct deposit from the start. Bea's link is the one where you can make changes.

Hadn't realized I've been gone so long. I took a couple of weeks off of ECF, then had a couple of emergency projects at work, then Obduction came out, and I was concentrating on that.

I did perfect my peach tea using Capella flavors.
For 30 ml of eliquid:
1ml juicy peach
1/4 to 1/2 ml sweet tea, depending on how "strong" you like your tea.
Hey, you! Welcome back! We've missed you! Deb & I were really worried about you.
That tea sounds goooooood!

You are so right. We have some antiques in our house that we would miss if they were destroyed but like you we take what fits in the car: the cats of course. Hubby takes the weapons, important papers and his laptop. I take my laptop, vape gear, chargers, meds. We also take a bag of emergency rations.

Mary, is there anything 'we' can do to assist you? And some 'sheeple' wonder why other folk go 'over da edge'...

Sweetheart, I intentionally didn't edit/crop your post due to your earnest, truthful and sage advice!

For anyone within da 'cone, da center is your best hope (unless you're on da 'line'). But how many predictions have been 100%? Prep now, if not yesterday!!!

herb, if I may, have several questions fer ya:

- How old are you?
- What DIY flavs do you vape?
- Can you document the diff twix your concerns and reality re 'Five pawns' <btw, never used 'em>?
- Have you personally had detrimental health issues re da above line items?

Seriously, I'm not out to bust any balls. BUT, you're not in da n00bies forum either! If you have personal adverse medical documentation, PLEASE share!!

They fit all that I have, even the unknown brand one with the side fill port. Right now, I'm using EHPRO KFL+V2's 1 and 2 holed versions, and they fit without the top long part of the chimney.

I thought that all KFL parts were compatible with each other. Also thought the mini was made from accessories to decrease the size/weight of the KFL, same with 'nano'. I got mini kits with a couple of my EHPRO KFL+V2's. If that's all wrong, I got pretty lucky buying parts :) .

I'm pretty sure that I found the ones I got from the stocking up thread you're looking at.

Send them a copy of your new Dec Page and write up a cancellation letter signed by both of you.
Fax it or email it to them. They will have undeniable proof of your effective cancellation date and nothing they can do about it.
If you are paid past the date of your new policy you will get refunded...if you owe for a few days you will get a billing for that.
