Jup used to use one of those. But I meant cuz they were 45 cents a pk when I started, and probably 6.00 a pk when I quit. lol Then again as you said, there are other savings that more than make up for the price difference.

I need to do some more mixin soon too. I usually make 250 mls of my favs. Got about 3-4 of those.

and deep fried?? Even with that, you can have my share!
you gotta dip 'em in chocolate.

We had one heck of a storm last night. In the space of about 10-20 minutes, hard to keep track when you are that scared, we had roughly 20 trees that came down just on this property. Haven't counted them all yet.

When the wind started earlier in the day, I had to chase down garbage can. I locked it's lid on it and put it in a little open topped trailer in the driveway. The top 30' of one tree flew over the trailer, popped the lid off the garbage can without leaving a mark, put a large gash in the ground, and shattered in the driveway coming to rest literally inches (not feet) from my car. Still scratching my head on how that all worked out with no damage.

I tell you this because I've just lowered my nic from 5 to 4 and last night was pretty stressful. Okay, it was terrifying because the power went out with the first strong gust when the trees started falling. Didn't even think about it until today so I'd say I passed the stress test with flying colors. :)

I'm okay, the storms were south and east of us. We did get some nice rain but not the high winds and hail.
No, I didn't get the kayak. I have enough stuff I don't use right now.

Glad you did well, bummer about the kayak. (Can you tell I like kayaks?)

My Mom always said, "the easiest way to find something is to buy a replacement".

I'm so stealing that. Smart woman. :D

Grab your pool noodles and snow shoes, then hang on tight. Tonight we had t-storms and got an inch of rain in less than hour. Hope all goes well for you.

Good grief! Is this common where you live? If so, I feel obliged to mention that NW New Mexico isn't half full. Most people brag about how bad their weather is; I claim the best four season climate in the contiguous 48.

Wow. How scary. I know that kind of fear. I live in a heavily wooded area of live oaks and I adore forests but we'll be moving in the next couple years. I'm tired of worrying that one of them will be sitting in my living room some day. No amount of vaping has helped me through these storms.

BTW what kinds of trees are they?

I'm not Deb, so I'll leave her to answer the question or not. But I am curious, being vaguely familiar with the area. What made you guess Kempner? Wouldn't be the most obvious guess to me.

Free firewood. ... Seriously, glad you're safe and there's no car/property damage.

My morning started out excellent I was sitting on my porch having a morning vape with my coffee, listening to the birds chirp. watching the submarine races. The races were getting kind of boring, so mother nature brought in a side show. A bald eagle swooped down and grabbed a fish. That was worth the price of admission.
