Man-o-man I just discovered real satisfaction from a vape device I'd been puffing on for over a month.
It was something like this:
I bought an Aspire Rover X to carry instead of the pack in my shirt pocket. Based on reading what others set their plus ohm drop in's to, I had it set between 12 and 14 watts using a 1.8 ohm coil. Day after day I'd puff n puff at work and sure plenty of steam was produced yet I still felt like something was missing. My Zenith clad items were easily getting it done at 13 watts. Yet those aren't particularly suited for shirt pocket carry when you bend over a lot.
It all started when some Kanger toptank nano's arrived. I was looking for something better on the Rover X. They come loaded with a 0.5 drop in. Well I tried one on the Rover X at the usual 13 watts. Nope. Not even close. 20? Better. 30? Now we're getting somewhere. But the Rover max's at 30 and I aint fond of maxing out my devices. Durability and all that. So I plugged the nano to a 70 watt Kroma and viola.... 28 watts hit the spot.
Ok, so back to the Nautilis X. The coil says 16-20. Hmph! I've been under driving it all this time. So spec'd minimum of 16 watts was tried. Better. 18, even better. So why not 20? Holy cow. 2 puffs had me laid back against my chair. It was like going from 3mil to 24. I think I'll stick with 18 for now.
Edit:
To confirm my findings I handed the Rover set on 18 watts to Mrs. States who direct lungs a Cascade at 0.5 ohms. She took a drag. Nothing unsual. She took a second drag and her face showed a change. 3 seconds later she was all laid back against the sofa saying "wow, now that's amazing".
