Man-o-man I just discovered real satisfaction from a vape device I'd been puffing on for over a month.

It was something like this:
I bought an Aspire Rover X to carry instead of the pack in my shirt pocket. Based on reading what others set their plus ohm drop in's to, I had it set between 12 and 14 watts using a 1.8 ohm coil. Day after day I'd puff n puff at work and sure plenty of steam was produced yet I still felt like something was missing. My Zenith clad items were easily getting it done at 13 watts. Yet those aren't particularly suited for shirt pocket carry when you bend over a lot.

It all started when some Kanger toptank nano's arrived. I was looking for something better on the Rover X. They come loaded with a 0.5 drop in. Well I tried one on the Rover X at the usual 13 watts. Nope. Not even close. 20? Better. 30? Now we're getting somewhere. But the Rover max's at 30 and I aint fond of maxing out my devices. Durability and all that. So I plugged the nano to a 70 watt Kroma and viola.... 28 watts hit the spot.

Ok, so back to the Nautilis X. The coil says 16-20. Hmph! I've been under driving it all this time. So spec'd minimum of 16 watts was tried. Better. 18, even better. So why not 20? Holy cow. 2 puffs had me laid back against my chair. It was like going from 3mil to 24. I think I'll stick with 18 for now.

Edit:
To confirm my findings I handed the Rover set on 18 watts to Mrs. States who direct lungs a Cascade at 0.5 ohms. She took a drag. Nothing unsual. She took a second drag and her face showed a change. 3 seconds later she was all laid back against the sofa saying "wow, now that's amazing".

I felt that way too.

Now that my eyes are no longer crossed, I just saw the coil pack says 12-16, not 16-20. All that was before my first cup of Mrs. States' sturdy coffee that doubles as crack sealer.

So I backed it off to 16 watts. Not as dynamic anymore, but definitely better than 13 watts.

Glad to hear you found your sweet spot.

Nicotine reactions are interesting. Coming from a 2 PAD cigarette habit in 2010, as I started vaping I bought 24mg juice. Vaped like a fiend and never got dizzy, but it got me off the smokes permanently. Not long ago I was vaping 3mg DIY juice and decided to make some 12mg unflavored juice just for comparison. I thought maybe I could vape less and enjoy it the same. I could definitely feel the buzz, but not like the first cigarette I smoked as a teenager.

I cut the 12mg with unflavored and turned it into 6mg juice. After trying that I cut it again and turned it into 3mg juice. At least I found out what I set out to find. Talk about a circular path!

Any ideas for getting juice out of a childproof bottle that you can't get open?

I always start with one of those rubber waffle pads. It usually works for the most stubborn jars and bottles.

It was one of those childproof (Kennaproof) caps. All it would do is click-click as I turned it, but wouldn't open. Or so I thought. I hate trying to open things woth safety packaging.

I hate those clicky bottles. It's more technique than strength, but some of them refuse to catch and turn. I think that they are human proof, not child proof. Our local pharmacies have signs at the counter informing customers that they will use normal bottles on request instead of the child proof type. Those are probably only child safe up to the age of 4.

I've cut the little lock tab out of some of those bottles. It's a dangerous activity (one slip and you are cut), but it works. Probably the safest tool to use is the flush cutter dykes we use to cut coil wire. Our local Kroger uses the press, turn 1/4 turn, and lift bottles and I've become so used to them that it's second nature.

Once i get them open I just move the juice to a different bottle. I so seldom purchase juice anymore, but this one is only available thru about January, so I'm stocking up on it. It's one of the few commercial juices I liked.

I got some of their wire to make my own ages ago and its pretty good stuffView attachment 765651
Well it's pretty but have you used it? I have never tried using any of the fancy stuff. Is it different or do you still just get vapor? When it gets gunked up is it a hassle to clean or do you just have to start with a new one. I like me TC is it TC friendly?

I had to buy some flavvoring and couldn't make up my mind but since I like many of the Adore flavors so well I stuck to that. It's not a huge savings but I get 100ml from the concentrate for $8.50 2 of them I pay $5.75 so not too bad for a premium flavor which it is, check out the reviews. I got the idea from DJLSB his favorite is the Custard de Lesche mine too but some of the others I like really well also. They charge I think it is $35 for 100ml premixed. Definately not cheapest on the market but worth it to me. Just my types of flavors.

I have a few flavors that came in child proof bottles. Bummer!
Now the FDA wants to pull juice off the market, I'm telling you coffee is next. We have and ecigarette and coffee crisis in the US now. People are dying from it, could be old age but it could possibly be coffee so get rid of it and take Tylenol and Ibuprofen for the 5 broken bones you have, it is just as effective or so says the FDA maybe even Phyllis
