So am I just spoiled by Amazon Prime and the vape sites I've used, or is $11+ a little excessive for shipping one two ounce bottle of flavoring? I don't have much choice, since my mixing attempts for a good Earl Grey Tea have so far been massively underwhelming, and none of the vape sites seem to carry Nature's Flavors Earl Grey.

It is interesting that Nature's Flavors and Best flavors seem to be the same company. I was sort of thinking so based on the web layout, but getting almost exactly the same shipping charge from the two, and them having identical check out procedures kind of clinches it.

I hope he likes us after he's tried vaping for awhile! He's not just a plumber, he's a handyman which is even better!

Ooh, ooh, Are you sure that he doesn't want to get away from it all by moving to rural North Dakota??

I hate not being able to do things that I have always done for myself. And for a rural/farming area it seems really hard to find anyone to hire. I suppose they're over busy with friends and relatives. I've got one electrical connection left to get the dishwasher going, but It will have to be while Liz is here so she can either spot for me so I can go a couple of steps up on a ladder despite balance issues, or she can climb up to make the connection while I stay on the floor and talk her through it.

A smoker will never start to vape if the juice sucks. Period. And you can't get them to vape just cuz it's better for them. Not gonna happen. Without a good flavor it's more like torture to them.

I had lousy flavors to start with, but I was getting really tired of dropping lit cigarettes on me. the furniture, and my very cluttered floor. So I did push through with it and didn't find any good flavors until after I quit.

oh dang darlin.....hate that you need to do that, hope that y'all will find some help with that before she gets there. Don't want you to have to go up a ladder

they were leaking from the air holes

Likely a bad or missing o-ring. After assembly, I block the air intakes and draw lightly. If I get a draw, I look for were there air's coming in. If not, generally good to go.

If the wick is stuffed down in those juice grooves the kf will leak like a sieve.
Ive been having good luck just tucking the wicks into the juice wells and making sure they aren’t in them grooves.

My first try, the thing really leaked, but I was poking the wicks straight down like I do on my Subtank Mini.

ETA: Vape mail; got my OWN kf today , since wife laid claim to the other one.

I use the "bunny ears" method. Insert the wick with moderately long tails. Put the chamber on while pushing the tails through. Fluff them out, snip 1/8 to 1/4 above the top of the chamber and gently tuck them down both sides of the deck, not covering the coil. Drop some juice on and finish up the assembly. (Since I have many and don't always know what flavor I'm going to use next, I do that with my unflavored nic base mix.)

Thats exactly what I ended up doing, and noticed I can stick a needle under the wick to insure it is clear of the groove.
The last time (third time) I wicked it I just pulled the old wick, cut another the same length, and did the same process, and it took about 2 minutes.
I was worried I wouldn’t like rebuilding this RBA, but actually found it very easy to just pull the coil legs around the screws and kind of adjust the coil into center while tightening the screws, and there are no free ends to short out.
Probably the cheapest and most sensibly designed Vape hardware I have purchased, but won't be taking it in the truck for fear of loosing it, lol.

I've been thinking about getting those, but I seriously hate that dt. And it doesn't say if something else can be used, or if that is the only one it will take. I know that some require the tip that comes with it. Has anyone gotten one of these from them?
I've bought several of them from Vapor Range. You CAN change the DT to any that you want, and they work great!

This is an excerpt from the Kayfun manual on how to mount the coil and wick on a KF.

Wrapping the coil
The coil is made of resistance wire wrapped around the wick - folded in several layers of silica rope.
The ends of the wire are fixed under the cap screws (2g).
The coil is located diagonally between the screws (2g) at 1.5 - 2 mm above the air duct (2h), so that incoming air is
distributed evenly round the coil when the user inhales.
Tails of the wick fit in the free space along the sides of the poles (2e) and (2f), so that they are above the grooves
(2j), but don’t get into them.

You can use any drip tip with them. I think that stopped when the kayfun lite came out.

i got me a couple of those a while back and they leak
I don't know what's up with yours, maybe bad o rings. I've never had one leak and I have several different clones. EHPro are supposed to be one of the better ones. Even the ones I got from Fasttech don't leak but, I have plenty of o-rings should one leak.

I glue the wick to the positive & negative block & just touching the floor of the base. Well away from the grooves. Every puff pulls more juice in & it kinda puddles there at the ends of the wick to soak in ready for the next puff. I do the wick then put the chimney base on, peek to make sure the wick didn't shift, & put the chimney on. If I put the base on, then trim & tuck the wick I often have issues. The other way I don't.
I'll have to try that method. I've always tucked them down. Never leaked, but I do get the occasional dry hit.

That shipping is a bit expensive. You can get four ounces for about $2.40 more and not have to order as soon. I know they say you should chill or "freeze" flavors but for $2.40 it might be worth experimenting with storage. Also, they ship USPS for PO Boxes and something else, you could ask if they ship USPS instead of UPS if that was cheaper. I hate getting gouged for shipping. :grr:

Where did you buy the dishwasher? Perhaps they could swing by when they're in the area and do it. For Free. Good PR goes a long way but it's also the right thing to do. Didn't get it at a Lowe's per chance did you? If you did, my husband could kick them into gear. :D If it has to be wired in instead of just a plug, they can't do that.

do you guys suggest to not lay the kf on there side ?
Mine always stay upright, but have fallen over without messing up after. But I use box mods, so standing them up is just natural for me. Laying them down might allow juice from the wick to sneak into the airflow hole tho. That could be why it.s leaking from the airflow. Juice has to be getting into that airflow hole somehow for it to leak out the side hole.
