It's so nice to have folks here who really understand thisNo problem... but I'm pretty sure that the BB is designed to be powered by two batteries in series. Then the wheel steps down the voltage to whatever you have it set at. Together the batteries are putting out 8.4V (at max/fresh charge), the regulator (potentiometer wheel) adjusts it by providing resistance and reducing the voltage to the atomizer. The current capability remains the same as if there were only one battery (so 8A). As for doing your calculations in Steam Engine, just put the set voltage in where SE asks for voltage and input your coil resistance. As long as the result is less than 8A, you are good to go. No blown up Birdie wif singed wings and we're all very happy dat we've got a Birdie who's happy wif her vape and still safe wif her batteries!![]()
It's so nice to have folks here who really understand thiscrapstuff And I normally require pictures, but understood the parallel/series perfectly. I won't remember it.......but I understood it! hehehe
You and Mike too, and others. So glad we got folks to help us wimmins! We'll cook, y'all answer all our questions! lol
BBQ Ribs..........unfortunately only done in the crock pot, but still good. My dil's idea. And she says stuffin...but she aint gonna be here.......so I'm thinkin tater salad if my back will let me do it!Yummmmmm!! So, what's for supper?
Thanks, Kev. Which ones did you find? Most of the ones I'm tracking down that look good are 34.8! The tolerances in a BB are tight. 34.3 would prolly fit; 34.5 definitely won't. So frustrating; Imy BB's like other folks love their Reos. I have 6 of them, and I'll be heartbroken if I can't make this work.
Nother question. Would it be dangerous to file down the button a smidge?
Thanks, Dave. I looked at Battery Junction, last night. The Xtar's are too long; 34.3 is about the max the BB will take. The AW ICR's used to fit, but are now .3 longer - no go. I found a pair of AW IMRs in my battery drawer. Not the new 8A new, but the old ones. They fit and work, so I'll go with the new AW's. The only real difference is that they seem to drop off, where the ICRs work and then don't.I don't suppose that your mod will take button top or flat top batteries? That might make a difference in the length. The battery size number is supposed to be indicative of the width and length of the battery. An 18650 is 18mm wide and 65mm long. Your 16340 should be 16mm wide and 34mm long. MAybe there's variance among brands.
This link explains battery sizes, FWIW.
18650 Battery size. What do all these numbers really mean? Wild, wild world of Lithium-ion batteries
This is a Battery Junction 16340/CR123 page. If you click and look at the dimensions of each, they all vary from 34mm to 35mm and fractionally between those two dimensions among the different brands. I guess the tolerances aren't so tight.

kewl! I never tried them when I was buying juice, but should have I think. I tried a couple other budget juices, and they were awful. But I have heard a lot of good about ITC.My ITC Vapes juice came in this afternoon. I'm vaping some Turkish Blend 3mg 60pg/40vg right now and it's flavorful and mild. The Turkish is a yellow clear juice and the RY4 is medium amber and clear. Maybe they won't gum up the Kayfun coils too fast.
I'm good on juice for a while. Between my Hangsen and the ITC juices I have about 540ml. That should last me a couple of months, maybe a while longer.![]()
Got it, now. Thank you, Iffy!
Might've been convoluted, but it made sense to meThank Iffy! That's much easier to understand than my convoluted explanation!![]()
Hahahaha! It's hard for me to tell whether or not my verbal descriptions are clear enough for other people sometimes. It all makes sense in my head, but there is often a disconnect between my brain and my words... LOL
Yummmmmm!! So, what's for supper?

Thank you, Iffy. Yup, they are 16340's. The AW's that we always used in the BB had a 750 mA rating, but the vendor changed the size to be, like, 34.5 long. They no longer fit. There are 2 other AW 16340's - the ones you have (550 mA) and a new one that says, "550mA, 8A". These 16340's do fit. My problem is that I'm doing 1.2 ohm builds, where most folks use stock 1.8 coils, or build at around the same. If I can't find a higher rated 16340 with the right measurements (cuz who knew that the measurements are +/- 10mm!), I'll order the AW's. I have 6 pair of the 750 mA ones, but they aren't holding a charge as long as they used to. Like me, they are getting old(er).![]()
Woot! And two reviews by BB users! Thanks so very much!Found these 16340's I never used an Imren but....

I am somewhat reluctant to say it but I think I skwooed up. What I thought was Hangsen flavor concentrates that I ordered from Slowtech now looks to be just a stronger flavored finished e liquid and not for DIY. Makes me wanna say wordy durds.
Yeah, I think. They call it Hangda but down in the description it says Hangsen.Oh geez ...Is it a least a Hangson e-liquid? Just not a concentrate.
