I tossed two recently. Cracked around the base from over-tightening.I have to really tighten the mtanks to keep them from leaking.

I'm back, can't make a lick of sense out of the machines that have settings. I don't understand basic electrical info enough. If I got a vw machine, how in the world do I know what coils, tanks, settings to use?
I gave her a source & a mod & tank & coil suggestion from MFS. They ship to Australia. Itaste 50 , Subtank Mini, 2 resistances of coils (.5 to see if subbing is good for her, & 1.5 if not). She can get coils for those online or in a vape shop anywhere. All she has to do is order. She is too new to understand 90% of this & getting stuck because TMI at once is confusing her. I went through that. Just stop.
If interested I can post pictures w/ the full size and mini size atty attached to the iStick. Don't have time now to do it.
^^^ what Gary said! I think Vape? is making it more complicated than it really is. Easy to do as a beginner. There is no "perfect setting". Too many variables.Don't have to know what to set it at. Taste buds figger that out automatically.Too low, weak flavor. Too high, awful flavor.
There is no such thing as a "perfect" or "recommended" setting for all. Taste buds vary.
true, but she's nervous about where to start and starting in the wrong place.....^^^ what Gary said! I think Vape? is making it more complicated than it really is. Easy to do as a beginner. There is no "perfect setting". Too many variables.
Yup. Been doin this for over 2 years. The beginning drove me nuts. (ok, nuttser) I'm perfectly content running an average of 7 to 9 watts. Really depends on the mod and the tank and the juice. I rarely go above (or below) that. Works for me.^^^ what Gary said! I think Vape? is making it more complicated than it really is. Easy to do as a beginner. There is no "perfect setting". I do the same thing. I like the mods that are capable of blasting watts or volts, but I don't use them to blast, so the batteries last a long time before needing to swap or recharge. I like a 1.3 to 1.5 ohm coil at about 13.5 - 14 watts. That gives me the flavor & vapor I want. I like sweeter juices. Higher watts than that fry my juices & they start tasting bad. Plus it doesn't use up the juice so fast. It's a warmish vape just like a cig is warmish. I can chain vape a bit with 50/50 pg/vg ratio & no dry hits.Yup. Been doin this for over 2 years. Yes I have some 40, 50, 60 watt mods. Still stuck on 7 to 9 watts.
Now some say you gotta get a 5000 watt mod and blast it. Well, not for me. Maybe sometime in the future but I'm perfectly content where I'm at.

Jup, very close to me. fruit flavors, net 1.3 dual coils, full batt about 13 watts, down to bout 11 watts when time to change, but I'm 24 mg nic and 70ish pg love itOur vaping 'likes' are similar ... I use 1.5-1.6Ω coils ... set it for 14 watts ... 50/50 pg/vg ... 12 mg/nic ...w/ fruit flavors.

Thanks, Mike. I'm sure @Vape? will appreciate thisHere's a combination to consider. We have the iStick 40 and Nautilus tanks (both full size & mini). These are not our primary setups. These are decent setups and provide a nice vape, etc. There may be better but I only want to list what we've used and are familiar with. This mod is TC capable ... but I've never used it in TC mode just VW (variable wattage).
These show in stock from an Australian vendor
iSmoka Eleaf iStick 40 Watts Mod (Temperature Control Compatible) iStick 40 A$49
Aspire Nautilus BVC Tank Clearomizer full size Nautilus A$35
Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC Tank Clearomizer Nautilus Mini A$30
Aspire Nautilus BVC Replacement Coils Pack of Five replacement coils 1.8Ω A$20 for a 5 pack
The Australian prices are higher than what we're paying in the US but the prices at Wick & Wire seem reasonable and inline w/ other Aussie vendors. I tried to find 1 vendor with all the products in stock to avoid multiple shipping costs from multiple vendors.

Sorry. She's confused enough & all this is making it worse. I can't tell if she's reading all the posts or just what she's tagged in. She needs a basic, simple starting point. Not talk about TC, etc.Ouch!
Well said. I am trying to help another person getting started with vaping right now. I sold him a Hana Clone mod that I stuck a authentic DNA40 in for a good price then we ordered a Innokin Isub tank that we are still waiting on. In the mean time he is using on of my Kayfuns. Keeps complaining its burning but he keeps turning the power up and I cannot for some reason get him to understand that the numbers on the screen do not really matter, its the vape quality were after. Start low, work your way up, if it burns at some point turn it down a little. Number fixation is a problem with allota vapers, chasing numbers instead of vape quality.Don't have to know what to set it at. Taste buds figger that out automatically.Too low, weak flavor. Too high, awful flavor.
