The ONLY difference between natural and synthetic nicotine is the placement of one single atom in the chain. Chemically, they're exactly the same formula composition at C10H14N2.

So, would you say that synthetic nicotine in juice would change its status as a tobacco Product?

FDA would adjust its definition and revise the actions it's already taken to include all forms of nic, IMO.

Closed thread link about synthetic nicotine that has lots of reference information.

Synthetic Nicotine - Is there really such a thing?

That's a rather old thread and comparatively speaking, very outdated at this point as far as e-cigarettes are concerned.

And for the "pesticide" comments, that was no different than today's claim of "antifreeze".

Unfortunately, the deeming regulation is so broad synthetic nicotine would be covered. Hell, they're lumping 0% nicotine e-liquid in the same category.

The courts will have to decide to what extent the FDA can go. Hopefully, they'll kill the entire thing, putting us back to square one. Or, depending on the ruling, if there's no "tobacco products" in the e-liquid, then synthetic may take off in a very huge way.

While I support Nic that is not labeled as a tobacco product - I am not sure I am ready for Nic that is synthetic...

I don't know that synthetic nic would affect the flavor and vapability of juice. I've vaped 0 nic and nic levels from 3mg to 24mg and the difference is in throat hit and the bitter bite. If the nicotine molecule is similar it should be fine.

As Retired1 said, we've all vaped it in various juices from vendors.

It's a given that the FDA would include synthetic nic in the Pharma side of the house and regulate its use accordingly. That might even give them what they wanted in 2009, a pharma product that would (or could) require sale and labeling by the pharmaceutical industry. That opens another can of worms for vapers. The FDA could play dirty and require a prescription for juice containing synthetic nic.

@LittleBird Sounds like Kazz has you taken care of so that's GREAT! Once again Kazz, you da man! ;)

As many have said, nothing wrong with synthetic. Most of what we all consume now-a-days is synthetic, enriched, treated or enhanced in some way. One would have to go back nearly 200 years to consume all natural anything. ;)
The e-liquid brands that are currently using TFN™ Nicotine are, NKTR™, NKTR™ Sour, MELT™, DIGABLE™, SLAP Vapor™, SOUR Slap™, Liquid Soul, Peel, Ripe, Hold Fast, E-Generation. Vape shops and online retailers carry these brands. Please check our website in the next couple of months as we may have TFN in 10% available to purchase.
And yes, the FDA is not going to give up, even if they are beaten again. There are just too many salaries, profits and tax dollars at stake. (IMO) As all of us are aware, it's about THE MONEY, period.

Afternoon All!

I thought that I had, but a little more research showed me that I was incorrect. I amended my advice to LittleBird through PM. For a Tmod, it appears that battery rattle is common in the mechs... the only real way to stop it is to increase the diameter of the battery; either by putting another heat-shrink battery wrap on it, or wrap a bit of scotch tape around it. I guess that my brain isn't working as well as I'd hoped. ;) Appreciate the vote of confidence though. :)

oooooohhhh those litter boxes!
When my wife first started her chemo one of the things she said she happy about was that she wouldn't have to empty the litter box anymore. It turns out that there is something in cat litter that can cause complications with chemo.

 Nice, Diver! How are you liking it?
I really like the RX200, it has the perfect feel in my hands and one big plus is that the batteries last all day. For me, it is the perfect match for the Herakles Plus.

Yep, I now clean the litter boxes at home. And, apparently, the smell of cat food makes her nauseated also, so I get to do all the feeding. Funny that, she wonders why it seems like the cats love me more now...

Well that's awesome anyway. It all got worked out and that's what matters. ;) Aftyer reading this, I was gonna spit ball another idea, those wide "produce style" rubber bands but once you got the battery in, you'd probably never get it back out again! Nevermind............. :| :D Go with the Scothch tape, maybe the wide, clear packing stuff so you can cover more surface area, @LittleBird. ;)

Just my :2c:. You STILL da man, Kazz!!!

The problem is that mindset is world wide - not just centered around anyone thing. I worked for a company that while having a meeting with a client in one room about their requirements they had another meeting going simultaneously reviewing everything that the client was overlooking and that they could capitalize on later...

The reverse is also true - some mechs the tubes are to tight and damage the battery wrap... I had one damage 3 wrappers (just slightly) before I caught it and quit using the mod...

I've seen electrical tape suggested before, too. You can leave an extra bit stuck together to grasp to pull out your batteries. My Hexes have a ribbon built into the sled that runs under the batts when you put them in. I just pull up on the end of the ribbon the pop out the battrries. No need to pry them & mess up the wraps.

It may be the only game in town once the dust from the lawsuits settle. The chemical composition is exactly the same.

Wasn't there some difference related to left or right handedness? Like the natural form is mostly left handed and the synthetic is an equal mixture. And the right handed form isn't biologically as active.

I read about it on ECF somewhere a while ago but the details are fuzzy.

edited: someone already posted the link.

I have my final vapemail scheduled for delivery tomorrow. If I avoid reading these threads so much I might actually be able to stick with not ordering anymore.

But I am looking at the Pico's - I only have one mech stealth mod and I think it could come in handy.

Well I can see what it is doing the price is 4.99 X 3 is 14.97 then they multiply that by 3 thats 44.91 plus shipping which I had priority which is 6.79 = 51.70. I wonder if they would send me 9 since the max I can get is 3.
