You really should download Skype. It is awesome, free, and easy to use. My Momma lives in Texas and I bought her a laptop a couple of years ago and she was able to use it by herself until she had a stroke about a year ago. We would visit an hour or two at a time and it is just like being in the house with her. I can only talk on a phone for a few minutes but on skype I can visit with family for hours.

Tex is so right. Skype is great. We keep in touch with people in the Philippines, England, Australia, Japan, and Ireland... Just like being there. My friend in England has a roaming Wi-Fi and he uses his laptop to give us tours sometimes. I have seen more of England through his laptop than I have when I spent time in country. It is great...

Okay you guys have me convinced to download and learn this week however the problem will be with my sons finding free time to chat since both work graveyard shift and sleep during the day. And speaking of sons, my Marine is sending email so going to go chat with him.

You guys have fun and stay out of trouble tonight.

The last time I was there was 89 and quite a few people have told me I would not recognize it today if I went back - so I am sure you would be lost. They kind of screwed up their economy or something like that and overspent on infrastructure - it is very expensive now.

And Yes - Kunsan was an Air Force Base. I have also been to Taegu, Suwon, Yongsang, Uijeongbu, and Osan... Three different tours. Out of my 23 years in the military I spent 13 yrs in the Pacific (Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, and such)...

I was looking on the map and I'm pretty sure Kusan is where I was. We drove down there from Seoul and I don't remember an airbase but one might have been there. It was an all Korean compound we were at and we worked all the time I was there trying to get the Radar back up because we were very vulnerable to China with it being down. It was right on a hill directly looking down on the Yellow Sea.

You can use Skype on the new phones too. I saw my nephew was on Skype so I called him but he was in his car driving across the Golden Gate Bridge and I got a tour too.

I forgot - Kunsan is the American pronunciation and spelling. Busan is the Korean spelling. It is in the South East and is a very large city - at least now it is. I have been told it has doubled since I left... It is a major port city...

I believe they are calling it a mini tank because it is a new shorter length than the regular sized DCTank we have seen so much of. Not sure about the 4.5ml. Perhaps they are including the liquid inside the carto as well as the inside the tank. I have cut down my DCTanks to be about the same size becasue I prefer Boge single coil cartos, but I've never measured how much liquid it holds. I just know it holds plenty for me.

Hey for those of you that use tanks, look at these listed on Deals and Steels #7725. They are called mini yet they hold 4.5ml??? Would that be a typo?

Oh me... where and how to start this 'mature' vaper's soul dumping?

Well, I'll dump right here and here's my 65 year young heartfelt response for the need of another >55 thread:

-Tis a shame, no, make that a day-um shame, that the original >55 thread was locked!

-Tis a shame that some AWESOME info has been relegated to da 'back burner', and basically buried, due to one individual's (although I've been 'informed' that there are "many" dissidents) perceived 'disrespect'.

-Tis a shame that anyone has to follow any ECF member's personal preference checklist in order to post their views on a 'General Discussion' thread without having the thread locked.

-Tis a shame that innocent 'mature' posters posting their activities and proclivities have no idea of what will offend a niche population .

-Tis a shame that truly knowledgeable ECF vapers with valid vaping experiences/knowledge, which they're willing to share regardless of their own 'no-nos', have to tiptoe through eggshells in order to share personal experiences, vaping related or not.

-Tis a shame that the new 'mature' thread didn't have a list of der verboten topics that would trigger another closed/locked thread.

My hat off to my4jewels for providing the link to this thread in da ol' one. Oh, how much I wish the ol' one became a sticky... !!!

Two competing threads for the Old Mature folks. This is getting ridicules.
I will no longer participate in this one or any other one of that kind.

Ok this is stupid to reply on ones own post.
Having exchanged a few pm's and seen some excelent points made and also having enough time to think (yes that takes me some time hihi) I would like to reverse my original statement of not being part here.
Why would I want to punish myself when there are so many nice ole folks around?

Iffy:
Great points in you post.

Well, I have joined in on both of the new threads. I have made friends from here and there, and I'm not going to let any of them go so easily. I tend to avoid controversy, just my nature...

That is good Jewels. I'm exactly the same way. I don't like strife and contention either and I'm glad some will be giving input to both threads. I hope everyone will be considerate of others and if they have a problem with someones post they will PM the person and try to get it worked out between them instead of having conflict on the thread. I really have enjoyed the friendships that have developed on here in a short time. I don't want everyone to walk on egg shells either but to be themselves and enjoy making new friends and try to be considerate of others.
I know 99% of us know these things but I just thought I would mention it. As far as I'm concerned this is everyones thread and I just started it to keep the other one going. I will tell you I will never close it nor will I be the policeman for it. I've already had a Pm from someone saying if I will do this or that they will post here. No thanks we aren't in a Jr Hi forum but this is just an open forum where we can talk about whatever we want as long as it doesn't break ecf rules. Anyways I'm hoping all the strife is over and we can continue our vaping journey and make some more friends along the way!

It was all pretty primitive when I was there only seven years after the war. Very few motor vehicles except for the Army. They had some taxis made from jeeps with the bodys made out of beat out 50 gallon drums and some busses made the same way. 99% used bicycles and carts they pulled by hand. It was an interesting place and I'm glad I went but I was sure glad to catch the slow boat home. It took 21 days with one day in Japan and one day in Okinawa to pick up some Marines. What a ride that was on a troop ship with I don't remember how many thousands of us on there. We sailed through a typhoon and 90% got seasick but not me. What a mess that was and we couldn't even go on deck to get fresh air for about a week. lol Thanks for all these memories you are stirring up Semi.

Thanks jewels. I didn't realize SmokeTech had a mini. What looked odd to me is the fact it appears so much smaller yet holds 4.5ml, maybe it's just the angle of the tank in the image.

I believe they are calling it a mini tank because it is a new shorter length than the regular sized DCTank we have seen so much of. Not sure about the 4.5ml. I am way behind this morning and no real time to post... Problems in the fleshy world that had to be taken care of (LOL)... and I have paint drying in the can that I have to get on the wall and an chimney to repair while it is dry outside...

I will catch up later with ya/ll. And Taxman great to see you made it.

The word mini is a bit of a stretch to me - how about Shorty...
