This is on an inner island that has mountain spring water feeding into the ocean. It is the underground mountain spring water that is 68 degrees. The locals take their showers in the spring. I warm up a bucket for mine (LOL)...

And I said it wrong with the Crabs - they are called Giant Crabs - sorry. Let's put it this way they get bigggggggg...

Well, howdy folks (that is how we say hi in Georgia)... Been a couple of weeks since I last came on to say hi... Real Life is keeping me ultra busy and I do not get time at the computer like I used to and when I am it is just for a few moments at a time... I sure miss working out of my home office with all my computers at my beck and call - it was a sweet deal, but all things change as life progresses. I want to stay in touch with many of you so I will pop in when I can and say hi and chit chat a little here and there...

Wilie keep sharing the great music. You have brought back many an oldie that most of us had not thought of for a while. It is great to stimulate old memories. Fran, I really do miss our morning coffee discussions and you too Mattiem... Tex, you are the best at testing this stuff. I am not sure just how much people know for you keeping this thread alive... Thanks...

Well, I will pop in when I can. Till then have a great day and a great life... Not saying good bye - just saying - later ya'll...

So nice of you to drop by Semi. Been hoping you weren't working too hard. Don't be so ultra busy that you don't take time to get the rest you need and we'll look forward to hearing from you when you can.

no internet - DEAL BREAKER !

Semi,

I think I could do without da internet for a lil' while! Being a seafood nut, the crab and shrimp could be my daily fare.

I'd love to revisit the PI. Beautiful country with folk just as lovely! My visit there ('66) was too short to see all that much. Did get a three day pass and went to Dagupan (Blue Beach) and went native on the beach in their elevated huts. Many memories there for only 2.5 days!

Day-um, thanx for rekindling some terrific times and people! And thanx for droppin' by...

They do have bigger claws than a King Crab but not as big of body or legs. Those are the biggest Shrimp I've seen though. Are they as good of eating as smaller ones?

That's what I was thinking too Tx, those claws are HUGE! But dang, first I saw only the girl when he said......here's a pic of the crabs. I thought, now that wasn't nice!! lol Then I scrolled down and saw the crab. hehehe I wondered too about the shrimp if they were really good. Sometimes bigger isn't better, and sometimes it's amazing!

Yuck Fran......too cold!!

Good morning everyone. Woke up to 52 degrees this am. Burrrrr. Had to throw an extra blanket on the bed. I am so not ready for winter.

I am in a quandary and don't know what to do or even if I should do anything.

Here's the thing. I won a contest. The prize was a starter kit. Received it a couple of days ago. The price, had I bought it would have been 39.95. The kit contained 1 65mm battery, 2 prefilled cartos and a usb charging cable. All of this boxed up in a hard plastic carrying case. Also added to the prize was a box of 5 prefilled cartos and the price, had I bought them would have been 16.46. One other item that came in the package was an emergency charging kit. It contained a unit that uses 2 AA batteries (batteries not included) and a charging cable. Price, had I bought it would have been 18.95.

Bottom line..Someone new to vaping would have paid a total of $75.36 + shipping for what I would consider a disposable. And to top it all off this unit has propitiatory threading so the battery will only work with their cartos.

My quandary is. Should I post how I feel about this on the contest thread or just forget about it. I feel like this kinda deal does a lot more harm than good. Had this been my first introduction to vaping I feel sure I wouldn't be where I am now on my vaping journey.

Thanks for listening. This has really been bothering me.

This has really been bothering me.

Just my $.02 FRN... I would just try to find someone that uses that system and PIF the kit to 'em. As to responding in the contest thread... nawh. Most folk here know what's what.

Don't lose any sleep over it... regardless of what you decide to do!

I agree with Iffy AND you. It would certainly be a shame to put out that kind of money for a disposable, but maybe somebody who has never vaped before might use it for free to see what it's like and use it as a stepping stone to something better. You're bound to run into someone who is thinking about vaping and you could be the one to get them started. It's probably not worth posting anything on the contest thread because, although you're right, you might come off as ungrateful for winning. Yep, don't lose any sleep over it.

Thank you Janet. That's what I am afraid of. It was fun to win and I don't want anyone to think me ungrateful. One really shouldn't complain about a gift. I will just let it slide and hopefully down the road I can pass it on to someone that wants to try it.
