A fad color and LED would help. Black w/blue LED.
It'll take a while but we do have educate the uneducated.

I dont agree with you at all. Me, I want my e-cigs to look like normal cigs. Its my reminder of what I once did, and it helps me from going back to anologs. That works for me.
Second, smokers were banned for good reasons. For the health risks, smells, hygine etc. You can preach now that vaping is healthier and such, but I still think its a hygenic thing anway. I really dont want the vapor your exhaling floating arround me or any kids for that matter, even it is just vapor and it disapates. Its still a habbit, and an addiction to nicotine, feed it on your on time.
And if you have to be stealthy about it or make less vapor when you doing it to draw less attention to it, now that just even feels silly to type back. Get over it. Even as an ex/smoker, the world be came a better place when it was banned from indoors in the public.
Now on the flip side of that, I vote for brining back the smoking rooms that were closed off from the rest of the population. Vape to you hearts content there.
or giving the establishment the choice if they were to allow vaping there, and that its clearly marked labled as such, enter at your own risk type thing...

I think we need to pick our battles carefully.
I would not vape in a large room (like a restaurant) where I couldn't have a personal conversation with everyone to reassure them I wasn't smoking an actual cigarette.
I WOULD vape somewhere with one or two people but would let them know first.
Everyone's reaction has been favorable. Nonsmokers are amazed and agree it's unoffensive. However, in a huge room full of people there are bound to be many nonsmoking jerks who will give proprietors a hard time and they will have no choice but to forbid it. We shouldn't put them in that position as that harms our cause. We should continue to make progress in small groups. Our numbers are growing!
I vape in my office -- my boss actually got me started. I've converted a couple clients to vaping!
i refuse to go back to the dark ages of being banned outside in the snow, cold, rain with no shelter like I'm deseased....i vape discreetly so i don't freak people out... but i don't want uneducated people pushing me into the smokers class, that will only make it that much easier for people to ban it and look down upon vaping. if you act like there is something wrong with it....people will assume there IS something wrong with it. ...but i would tell people not to vape mounds of clouds in public....and stop buying e-cigs...that look like real cigs.
I actually smoke primarily in places where smoking isn't allowed, but only after verifying it with a manager. If the manager gives me a go, I don't worry about it. I have yet to get a negative reaction while out at a restaurant or a bar or something.
This line really puts it into perspective. If I ever vape in a place you can't smoke, I do it stealthily. Blowing out a hookah sized plume of vapor tends to freak people out, so I just hold it in for a sec. Boom, no smell, no plume of vapor, no one cares. It's not the same thing, but it's similar in a way to a toy gun. We know they're way safer than the real thing, but when in public, you don't pull out a toy gun and act like it's a real gun. It freaks people out.
I AGREE
I dont vape where i cant smoke. The Sheeple of the media are too ignorant and stupid to understand what an e cig is. We have to be careful with vaping. please people stop doing it in public no smoking places. it is slowly becoming banned. Airlines bars some cities have even tried to and have banned it.
This is one of the reason I hate the .... weeds that work at my local smokign everywhere. they waltz up and down the mall vaping.
Newsflash: you're inhaling other peoples' "vapor" (i.e. breath) all the time, whether you like it or not. As for the nicotine, it's absorbed by the lungs of the vaper almost 100%, so you're not inhaling any but the tiniest trace amount. The fact that it's a habit and an addiction to nicotine has nothing to do with anything. There are a lot of things I don't like, like people with heavy perfume, people who smell bad, etc., but I don't expect the whole world to accomodate me. I do agree, however, that people shouldn't be brazenly vaping in public -- for now, anyway.
