I'm fairly convinced that you are correct that some tanks just make for better flavor. And I'm going to take the guesswork out of it by talking about subohm tanks that all take the GT cores.

There are at least 10 tanks that take those coils (they're the baby beast coils basically) and I have five different tanks that take these coils cuz they're the only sub coil that I really enjoy. And the difference that I get with the same factory made clone coil out of the same box is noticeable. The only thing different is a slight variation in the tank.

I have the Cerberus tank I have the vaporesso Cascade and the Cascade baby as well as this other tank that I don't even think has a name that came with The wotofo Flux mod And also one of the Asmodus tanks that take baby beast coils and I'm telling you they are not all created equal. The one that has the best flavor with the exact same carbon copy coil is actually the unnamed wotofo flux tank lol The asmodus one you're not getting any flavor out of these coils in that tank You might as well not bother. The Cerberus is the second in line and then the actual vaporesso tanks are fine too. They're in the middle. But this is the exact same coil with no user error allowed because it's a subohm and I get vastly different experiences.

Of course that still could be subjective but it's the same coil so the shape of a tank related to your subjective desires I guess does impact strongly on flavor same juice and all of them too cuz I only vape two juices one for pods and one for tanks and RTA's
you forgot the NRG tank. I have a few Cerebus's and then I bought, on clearance from Eightvape, I think last Christmas, a few mini mod/tank setups. They all had the NRG tank on them and used the same coils. I also found clearances on those coils and bought a boatload. They are collecting dust because as far as drop-ins go, I love the Freemax's

    Somewhere between here and there
So back from shopping for food and picking up meds for my pops.
First thing i did was go to my friends shop, got me some new coils for the Arbiter Solo RTA,reading at 0.29ohms.

Been using at 30's watts, still need to find the sweet spot but is it supposed to be this turbulent?
Not sure if it's the wicking or if it's supposed to be like this, not a smooth draw but more like a gurgling sound but not gurgle,it's just turbulent with a slight crackle, not much but just a tad.

Apart from that the flavor is FANTASTIC,but the sound is putting me off a bit,i know it's not flooded otherwise the gurgle'y sound and slight spitback would be there so it must be turbulent, but that much?

Rewatched 3 of the videos i had bookmarked and none of them make the same noise...odd.

Mine is smooth and haven’t had any of the stuff you mentioned. I’m running a .4 coil at 27 watts.

Yeah i am guessing it's probably the wicking, will give it another go later and see how it goes.
    Cheers bud

I thought your friend at the vape shop was going to build it for you?

I’m sure you’ll get it figured out. I’m sure mine could use a new wick by now. Maybe later I’ll rewick it.

    Issue solved :)

New allergy pills make me a bit groggy so when looking at the pics to see how high or low the coil had to be in the deck i was looking at another atomizer....duh!!

Coil was down i mean all the way down not touching the deck by a hair's breadth, elevated the coil, rewicked and badaboom issue solved.

Now all i hear is a healthy dose of crackling and i can finally enjoy my vape, will try to post a pic tomorrow.

    Cheers :)

I'm trying to figure out why Ni 80 wire is used above say Kanthal A1. I've never been a Ni 80 user but I bought this Zivipf roll and want to give it a go.
Plz correct me if i'm wrong, but as i've always understood, it's used because it heats and cools faster....is that right?
Well if I go to Steam Enjin and compare the two, Kanthal is the winner....and it needs less wraps to get the same resistance.
    So why Ni 80?

I’d like to know too. I’ve noticed that a lot of tanks I get for review come with Ni80 coils.

    Because Nichrome Rocks and Rolls:headbang::headbang:

and I personally don't like the taste of Kanthalo_O
But the wire does heat up and cool down Really quickly!

For me it's the faster ramp of ni80 I prefer, and on my unreg. mods the lower resistance. My 6 wrap 30*2/40 coil in kanthal is 0.9ish ohms, in ni80 it's 0.7ish. And 0.7ohms is much more in my wattage range.

Taste-wise - I can't tell much difference. Unless I forget the juice, then I can only taste charcoal!

Because more wraps gives more surface area for the same resistance and therefore better flavour.

I'm eyeing this talked about Arbiter solo and i'm thinking...considering i'm all about RDL and Flavor, why would I get another tank that'll give me the same flavor as my Dvarws, Squape Arise and Brunhilde...and ofcourse my much beloved Kumo?
Also i'm not interested in the MTL side of the Arbiter.
But not surprisingly to me, i'm still contemplating about getting it...:w00t:

Not sure Charlie. I haven't done much research about storage of lipo batteries. What I've read suggests storage at around 3.85V per cell and at low temps and low humidity.
If you or anyone else reading this knows more I'd appreciate the info.

Your correct there on the storage voltage Mate:thumb: 3.8V-3.85V per cell(your ones are single cell) will keep your lipo battery happy and definitely keep at a low humidity and reasonably low temperature(you don't need to keep them in the fridge):)
