I spent twenty minutes on the floor with a flashlight looking for the bloody tiny screw out of the rta deck. I’m a certified klutz. I’m going to start building in a plastic pan. Might be safer
I saw an interesting tip on dealing with this kind of situation. Assuming you have a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment: put a single or double layer of a girl's (or a guy's if the guy is into that sort of thing) stocking or panty hose over the end of the hose and vacuum the area. It should suck up the screw onto the fabric but not into the canister. Never tried it myself, but it makes sense.

Good night shiny ones.

@NolaMel be sure to let us know what it's like waking to a bald man in your bed.
I might whomp him over the head thinking he’s an intruder ... after 37 years, seeing someone instantly bald is kind of freaky. I’ll just ignore it and build some coils. Good therapy

Used to do that back in the dark ages with my hard contact lens. Hubs has a magnet wand out in the shop. He uses it to find old nails in reclaimed wood. I’m going to see if that picks them up. A piece of cheesecloth tightly rubber banded over the wand works too. My genius child puts the stocking piece on the wand, then wedges on the attachment... no pantyhose getting sucked into the tube

That was what I did with the coil today ( to the best of my current ability). I tried the spaced first because I wasn’t sure I could do it. A tight coil I know how to make. Probably should go back to 3, not 2.5? This second coil attempt vapes much smoother.
Yeah I find them much easier. I would stick with the tight coils maybe for now since they are easy for you. Once you are comfortable enough with all the variables then you can change it up. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are doing great.

Stopped at a shop on the way to work. They had both a Pulse and Athena there. Both were kits. I liked the Athena better except for the atty. I liked the pulse atty much more. I am thinking about ordering the Athena (mod only) and was wondering if any Squonkers here have any thoughts on the device.
I have had both. I still have my Athena...
Yes, it arcs at times. No denying it.
But no voltage drop at all, and with the right 18650, quite good, and a true mech squonker, so it's easy to keep in good repair.
Since you seem to have an affinity for mechs, I'd say it will do you just fine.

@Mowgli and @TrollDragon bottom fill, seriously?
Bottom fill?? Only the OG Aromamizer V1/V2 was bottom fill, everything after that you unscrew the top cap.

Skip the OG Armomamizer, Supreme / Supreme Lite and go straight for the 25mm Supreme V2 (V-Deck) or 30mm Plus (Postless). There is an optional postless deck for the Supreme, but it is 90 degree rotated and not wicked straight through like the deck on the Plus.

The Pulse just looks better and it doesn't whistle. I think it was @TrollDragon who first mentioned the noise factor with the Wasp but now that I'm aware of it...
The Wasp was way to finicky with coil size and height so it didn't whistle.

In the end, I could always get some sort of whistle from it by slightly changing the amount of draw.
It's now at the vape shop, living on a OSub Baby for testing new juice. ;)

Good Sunday morning shiny people, got caught up on the back convo and seeing @NolaMel builds. Think she’s doing quite admirably and she seems persistent so in no time she will have this mastered.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable morning with good coffee and a wonderful vape or 4
