IDK, were you actually like, smoking two at once like AT THE SAME time, double the smoke? Because if it was one in each hand, like, that would be fairly similar to just chain smoking two in a row. I've done that before, heck, I have done it so much that like, there are probably times I don't even remembering doing it, probably.

3 ppd requires some serious choices, I'm telling you.

Anna
two right next to each other in one hand. Lucky strike straights for that matter. Iirc it was called doublebarreling.

That is too low on a regulated decice imo.
Mine too. I’m repeatedly checking the batteries for heat or bulging. If I get any it’s over. I didn’t say it wasn’t stupid. I kept seeing all these people advising others that it was the “ultimate flavor” or some such. I am in NO WAY extolling this behavior. It’s dumb. The only way to know that for sure though is to test it. Turns out that while it’s a bit dangerous and quite expensive and wasteful and the flavor gain is small, it’s not zero. I was expecting zero myself. It’s still stupid though. The best bang/buck ratio is apparently MTL by a mile. A middling DL setup is still 90% of what I’m getting with the most balls-to-the-wall build I could do with my equipment.
I effectively elected to go vape racing I guess.
I like dual coils at about .3-.4. Even with quad core Fused claptons I go down to .15ish which is pretty warm. I am having trouble with flat ribbon wire right now. I can do multi core Clapton coils in my sleep but thin wire gives me headaches. I guess it's just what I'm
used to.

This pair ohms out at .14 I know this one because thwy are still in the atty. You want to go to flavor country, here's your ticket. Mohawk

These usually come out in the .3 area I love reduced chamber single coil rdas with big wire. Quad core FC

View attachment 800015
This build is sweet! .18 ohms Hex core FC. Fires fast and hits hard. I use this on the 21700 Pulse BF every day. One 40T gets me through a whole day.
As far as .07 goes I never go that low. This monstrisity was .11
View attachment 800017
It took 130W To power it.

On a regulated device super sub ohm builds are unnecessary.
Not just unnecessary, dangerously unstable as well. This thing was built and tested initially at 0.10ohm.
It fluctuated from that to 0.07 in 15 minutes, then climbed to 0.14 in less than a day, and then dropped to 0.06 with a cleaning. With a single battery mech that’s just asking for spontaneous face removal.
People were claiming how “great” it was though. Something had to be done.
Build for surface area and don't worry about resistance. I like multi core Claptons with a lot of core wires and the smallest guage I can find. That will give you more surface area with less mass.
So basically you’re knitting yourself some stainless steel wool
Where you position the AF ..
“AF”?
...also has a big impact. Thick wire heats up much more slowly than thin.
Of course. Thick wire has lower resistance than thin. That’s how resistance wire is, or how thermal mass works depending on I suspect the definition of “AF”
If it's burning something's not right.
Agreed. This is true for most things in fact. The wrong thing it turned out was ohms were so low I had to basically crush a dent into the ends of the coil to make a good enough connection. Now I’m waiting to see if it works itself loose a second time from simple heat expansion.

Why would you want a build that low on a device that can output 12 Volts?

Will the Aegis do 12 volts?

The reason I ask is the Aromamizer Plus has a series deck available through SteamCrave.

Im using the series deck on a PWM Lipo with a .66 build set at 7 volts. With that build I am only drawing 10.6 amps at 75 watts. I get about 2 days battery life with that build. But a Lipo is pushing it. Not sure 2x18650 will push that build at 75w.

Another flavor build I use is with the Modfather RDA. Exotic dual coil at 1.4 volts, 11.4 volts, 8 amps being pulled and roughly 95 watts. But I imagine it would take a 3 or 4 battery mod to get that metal heated.

@bombastinator Do you have a picture of the build? You got me Tinkering. I put a MASSIVE 100W .11 build in my Asmodus Vault with The Hex Core SS. AF is airflow. I like to place the coil so the airflow hits the bottom half of the coil.

This would probably do better with a bit more power. I also wish this rda had bigget AF. It's the only atty I have that will fit a build this big.

I didn’t take a pic. I’m running it on an aromamizer plus rather than an RDA. My most airy RDA was an ancient velocity V2. They looked at it like it was dinosaur bones.
The coils look a lot like the ones in your pic though. I really should have documented exactly what brand and specs they had. I didn’t pick em the vape shop guys did. I just told em I wanted the most ferocious most subbiest sub ohm set they had. Or words to that effect anyway.

If you are using a 2 battery regulated mod resistance doesn't really matter. As long as you are using 20A+ batteries you are fine at 100W no matter how low it is. My Minikin has a .1 cutoff. Just barely made it :)
That was the theory. I didn’t want to actually blow up anything. I just wanted to see if any of the claims I was seeing held any water at all. I’ve been running LG H2s and one round of Samsung 30qs because this thing eats batteries so fast I ran out of charged batteries. Wasn’t good for em but they’ve led a pretty gentle life and I thought they could handle it just once. It turned out ok

So I wasn’t paying attention, ran my tank dry and burned my wicks. Oops. Anyway, rewicking gave me the chance for a pic I missed taking so here they are.

Sorry about the blurry. I got shaky hands. It’s a medication side effect. I don’t have the Parkinson’s yet anyway.

After the rewicking the ohms are back to 1.0 again. Maybe a mere rewicking was enough to mess with the connection and I should have retightened them. Again, this super sub ohm thing is asking for trouble.

I have a 30mm modfater RTA and a voltrove that can both handle 5+mm coils. Working on a new NLPWM 4S lipo. I like to do crazy stuff now and then to. haha
Only thing with a DNA250C is the best it can do is 10V even on a fully charged 4S lipo. I have a few and really love them but the pwm is my fav for now.

Those coils are way too high for the Plus postless deck IMHO. I run 4mm ID coils 2mm off of the deck with the outer edge of the coil parallel to the flat spot where the screws are.

What does a 4S put out? 16v? Got me wondering what kind of build I can use with all that, lol.

I like them a touch higher than 2mm to get the air flow good and under the coils. But I agree the coils are too high on that build.

You’re probably right. I normally wick it single coil and you need the height to get the airflow going. It’s not shorting though. I suppose I could shorten them but I cranked those grub screws awful hard and they’re probably a mess in there. I’d possibly have to cut off too much to get em back in again.

Those are some beefy coils. I've never tried a build that big in a tank. I usually do triple core FC in RTAs.
It’s what I had. Seems to function. Except for the battery life, and the juice usage, and the safety.

Still at 0.10ohms. Maybe it’s lasting longer than expected because I can only take half a drag at a time without coughing/nicking myself out.

I’ll leave it till tommow I think at least. Maybe see how long this Ni80 goes before it gets actually dirty enough to create a flavor change. If I can keep from burning a wick for that long.
Then I think I’ll go back to my regular build in this thing. A single SS 7x28g 3.5mm twist. See how much if any flavor I lose returning to a reasonable ohm and wattage. TC on a legend should work fine if I can keep it under 40w

Transfer the coils to a velocity and see if the guy at the vape shop was just being a scaredy-cat. Thing is going to be a real one-hit wonder considering the juice use in the current mod. I got a releaux 2/3 I can put it on.

Yeah. You need to stay above .5. Thats 32A but its over 500W
? How do you figure that? Are you doing mech math? This is a VV mod. Running em at 110w. There are people that run these kind of things on mechs though, and claim it’s worth it for the “massive flavor”. The point of the excercise was to test this.
Are you saying it’s a bad test? That is possible.

I am aware. The impression I got was he was misinterpreting the term to say that the coils were dangerous because of high wattage. ....or should I really go to bed now because I’m not thinking straight? That one happens almost daily to me.

dc99 hit the wrong message to quote. TinMan was pondering what kind of build he could do with a 4S on a PWM mod.
