It looks like you may need to pack those channels with more wick. I often use cotton yarn - two strands was leaking sometimes, and when I added a third strand, no more leaks. Looking at your pictures I don't think there is enough wick in the channels to create a seal when the wick is saturated. In my experience, if the saturated wick doesn't swell up against the wall of the mouthpiece, air can come into the tank via the mouthpiece canal and let your juice drain.
Take a look at this post, no wick in side channels, there's many others that use none. But the wad across the top, well that's a different story, it needs to be filled (not packed)

I've done this style, works ok.. no wick in the side channel at all.

on another note, according to my nations wonderful usps, my kayfun conversion has been "delivered to unit" which scared the poo outta me. I live a house. not. an. apartment. I'll post more as the stress continues.

That means it is at your local PO... You'll probably get it tomorrow... :)

6:30 this morning. I usually get my mail about 8:30 am or there abouts.. but no mail yet today. it's just odd, I've never seen that terminology used on stuff sent to me. ok.. back to pacing and scaring the neighbors.

You know you'll have to sign for it right? It's Registered Mail... If you're not home, they'll leave a slip..

They meant the "Special Kayfun Kit Unit" - they deliver on dogsled drawn by snails. ;-)

LOL!! :) I'd like to know how in the hell one got to Cali, when I'm only 6 hours from NY state, and it has not been scanned at my hub or local PO yet? I'm thinking tomorrow... :pop:

ok, it made it here. got it installed, playing with it a bit.. the mouthpiece is thinner (yes it comes with another o-ring), working on figuring it out right now. I'll post some more as I play with it more. I also got the drip tip mouthpiece, but haven't tried it yet.
wrapped 2mm ekowool (3 folds) with 32 gauge kanthal at 1.9 ohms. I've got 1mm 1.5mm 2mm and a small piece of 3mm that I can play with, so I'll try different options and stuff too.

first impressions: well built, clean design, easy to put together. great flavor. better than the terminator, quite a bit better. a lot easier to coil. the center pin isn't centered, especially if I tighten down the new cup/coil head. it's way off if I tighten it all the way down, but that could be a problem with the base, not sure yet. I want to find out if the center pin is adjustable up or down.

yeah its adjustable. You loosen the nut just below the base....kind of like the nut on the term center pin, then screw in the post or back it out...however it needs to be adjusted, then tighten the nut back down once you have the desired height.

There's also a tiny little screw at the bottom of the post that can be adjusted with a jewellers screw driver to fine tune the adjustment....

Fordski:
I meant the side of the pos-pin, (as they mentioned). It's just closing/opening the draw up the pin.

Certainly NOT as convenient is out on the side of the base, but 100% better than most devices.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I'll have to wait until I vape it dry to check it out....:vapor:
