Plenty of video's, but there are also nice clear pics around. Twist tie the ends together for maybe 6 or 8 twists, then hold R wire and twist the NR back around that 'tie' and out/away for 3-4. Clip any excess twists if you want. Repeat for other end.

I find hemo's work well to hold; and a small needlenose with smooth jaws works for the twisting.

Ok so i got the tobecco clone. So far not bad! I have a few question though.

- can you vape the tank dry with Oddy type tanks? The way i see it, juice can get to the wick through the 2 openings above and below the capture ring. But thats not the bottom of the tank.
- anyone have wicking problem with these? Maybe im just used to using strong coils in Gennies and these are not keeping up, but i have a 2 ohm micro coil and the wick is definitely not sucking enough juice for it.
- any trick for more air flow?
- any other general tip for a beginner?

Thanks!

I have most of the same questions, but I will say, I drilled another hole down at the 510 connection, and that helped the airflow significantly.

I vape tanks dry in my Term C's and Hercules often..

No issues with wicking and chain-vaping.. (I no longer use any wick at all in the channels.. just XC-116 at the top)

No airflow issues using the GG Oddy to GGTS base instead of the 510 base on the Term C on the MKB-TS. (The Hercules has the GG connector already) This is the way these attys were originally designed to work, and allows the best adjustable airflow possible. I don't think the GG base will work on the Tobeco clone though.. I don't have one, so not certain. I do know that I hated the airflow the few times I used the 510 base. Whatever mod used needs to have good airflow slots at the connector. A flush mount to certain mods with no gap for air may cause issues.

I typed "wicking" under the Search Thread tab at the top, and came up with lot's of great info already posted regarding this... ;)

Wouldnt it leak if you dont have wick in the channel? And how do you get juice to the wick at all??

I use it on top of my 19, so i ll probably cut slots on the bottom of the tank leading into the 510 air holes. That should solve the problem.

Nope, does not leak a drop.. the juice is forced up the channels under pressure, and stops at the top wicks. I've yet to have a dry-hit or flooding...

Alright im gonna try this tonight. But still i dont get how the juice gets to the wick. I guess i ll figure it out in the course of doing it.

You should see bubbles when you first open the mouthpiece, filling the channels with liquid. I suppose every time you take a draw, juice is pulled up the channels also. Just watch your wires, and make sure there are no points where it will short. Some folks place just a thin covering of wick over the wires.. I've found no need to.

Ok, so i did the Mr.Krinkle method and it works. I also think i figured out why it works, which was an even bigger deal for me lol it kills me when i dont understand something. The juice goes up because inside a sealed Ody tank, the only way in and out is through the air channel in the center chamber. When you screw on the top cap, the pressure forces the liquid to escape, and the only way out was climbing up the channel into the chamber.

How the juice continues to feed the wick, i only have one hypothesis at the moment. When you take a hit, the air inside the ceramic chamber is heated up. When it cools down and contracts, it sucks the juice in.

The word here is pressure differential, when you draw on it a lesser (negative) pressure is created on the inside so a bit of liquid get drawn from the outside to the inside to equalize the pressure.
