Thanks Dixie1954, I will eventually but I'll probably get the TFA first. How much did you mix of the FA that was too much?

Yes, maybe you'll have to try the Hangsen one. It's very light at 5%, better at 7-8%, and seems to max around 10% for me which is still a light flavor and not nearly enough and I don't need in your face vapes. I haven't tried higher than 10, but that didn't seem much more flavored to me than 7/8 so I didn't even try more as it seemed like a waste.

I had the TFA and could'nt get past the smell. It smelled like vomit. Not a bottle I would want to accidently knock over and spill that's for sure.

Whelp I just finished the entire thread. Could really use recommendations. A bit about my preferences:

Love Halo Freedom & BWB Maple tobacco. Both have a similar base to my pallet. I get leathery, woody (cedar?), smokey, and if sandalwood tastes as it smells, sandalwood. Dislike peanut (HS ry1 has peanut to me), ash, grass, honey, molasses or roses.

What I've tried that's not quiet right:
TPA American red (smell is close but not spot on)
TPA red oak ( somewhat eases my smokey woods craving)
TPA ionone beta ( cannot get it right, baby powder quality, belch)
HS Indian which I am very happy with as a neutral base. No weird undertones, just honest tobacco. This is why I'm hopeful there are 1-2 more HS that I can use. Arabic sounds like a strong contender.

Danny you seem to know a good bit about halo, any direction? Anyone else? I know my pallet is not that of a cig smoker as I was on 9mm vanilla cigars for 15+ years.

I did the inaweras last year and came up empty for a tobacco. They all had a base note I couldn't handle. Didn't try vanilla for pipe. ..hmmm. Sorry to hear the HS pipe is weak.

TIA

I only used 1% and it was with 3 other FA flavors - all creams at that same 1% so 4 flavors  I wish you better luck:vapor:

Ahh only 1% with all those creams and it was still super strong coffee! Thanks, when I do get it I'll be sure to start at 0.5-1% then and see how strong it is for me :)

I get a bad scent from the Kona flavoring, vampire killing garlic, but it doesn't taste like that once mixed low as directed. She says the Tiramisu flavoring smells bad too, but once mixed low as suggested it doesn't taste like that at all. Did you mix up a low % sample to test or no?

OK , you guys went and did it , I signed up and did my post count and now it's my turn to ask things. LOL

I did get RY1 and Turkish Blend from RTS , looks and smells good , doing a sample of the Turkish now
without much steep time on it and it's Ok , the RY1 is steeping , should be good to do around Wednesday .

My question now is , what would you suggest to use to make a nice Hazelnut Cream Tobacco for a good
wake up vape to go with my morning coffee ?

Thanks for helping me get hooked by the way ;)

..... Hazelnut Cream .........

I've yet to find an excellent Hazelnut but between TFA and VZ (alcohol line) I like the TFA best. The Hangsen Italian Cream is delish, and I've seen good posts on Hangsen Cream as well. Stay away from TFA Cream (imo). You might also have good luck with mixing some creams and other type flavors such as malted milk or creme de leche.

All I have at the moment is the VZ (alcohol line from China) Hazelnut and it is good, just not Hazelnut lol.

My base is 6% pg, 10% dw, 84% vg, 6mg.

Inawera Vanilla for Pipe. 3%
VZ Hazelnut 2%
Hangsen Italian cream 2%

Your Ry1 or Turkish either one might make a good sub for the Vanilla for Pipe. I'd say just order some Hangsen Cream or Italian Cream and Hazelnut and give it a try.

I tried the FA Tiramisu solo at 4%, and it wasn't very good ... it's also not sweet.
I had tried the TFA first, so I had something to compare it too, and the FA went into the "donation" box.
The TFA at 2% was great. It is a strong flavor, and does have a strong rather unpleasant odor in it's concentrated form.
I also have some by Hangsen that I haven't tried yet, but TFA is a "keeper" for me, unless HS is better.
I love the fact that I don't have to use very much and can enjoy it as a solo.
I would up the % when mixed with other flavors, I just haven't tried to use it in a recipe yet.

Right now, I'm trying everything "solo" to find out if I like the flavor, what it will add to a recipe, and how strong it is.
If I don't like it solo, I can't see even using it in a recipe.
I only keep the ones my taste buds like, .... always searching for the "cream of the crop" so to speak

OMG Slots - did you try it at 1%?? FA is very concentrated! I do not like strong coffee I use about half of what it says to use to make instant coffee on my Tasters Choice container LOL So if you have not tossed that Tiramisu maybe revisit it at 1% Or not, just trying to explain why it is too strong for me at this time:ohmy:

Welcome to the forum Icer!

Hangsen has hazelnut and hazelnut coffee. Cream, Irish and Italian. Ice cream & French ice cream.. Choclate cream. In not sure what tobacco you want to go with.

Here's the master list of flavors https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3i_svJSpYOUOGxnOGl3LWRHYjA/edit
(Let me know if link doesn't work)

I used flavor art hazelnut way back and found it to be good. Haven't tried hs hazelnut.

I would take the hs hazelnut 2%, italian cream 2%, ry1 4% , as a guess. Maybe even less of one or more depending on what you want to end up with

Sorry to hear the HS pipe is weak..

Well I have to speak to this. Everyone says its weak and trys using 6 7 8 9%. .. While i dont have the pipe, I only use 3-4% on everything I have. Back in the beginning of this thread you'll remember 1 drop per ml was the reco . ~3.3%

We know using too much flavoring can kill a flavor.

Hangsen lists the pipe as "very strong" so that leads me to believe that using high % may be killing the flavor by using double what is needed. It probably only needs 2.5-3.33%.. Has anyone tries this?

Look here click on pipe. They make it sound like the strongest - I've read all of them..

Tobacco_Hangsen Holding Co.,Ltd

I have not tried the pipe as everyone says its weak... But maybe its not..??

For example one member had to take g&s to 15% to get flavor, or get it back.. 6 7 10 12 15% if i remember.. While I use 3.33% (1ml/30ml) on gs and there's plenty of flavor so much I can only vape it a short time

Hangsen has the ha tobacco (Havana) and Cuba also for cigar flavors.

I love Capella's hazelnut. It's not the most accurate hazelnut taste though... on its own it's sort of like a rich, creamy hazelnut dessert. I like adding a little to my tobaccos sometimes... not much though, otherwise you end up with a hazelnut dessert with a hint of tobacco.

More often I use it for desserts though. I have a mix of hazelnut, white chocolate, and graham cracker that I vape pretty much every day.

And i have something to add to this also ,if you mix it too strong and vape it for a bit it will kill your sense of taste for quite awhile ,don't ask why i know this :(

My first vape of the day is always just a little much for me. Doesn't take me long though. A few sips of coffee and a few puffs and everything smooths out just fine lol. But by the end of the day, I'm searching for my strongest mix and a nice cup of hot chocolate to go with it.

Nope ... there's VERY few flavorings I can taste at 1% (then there's TFA's Caramel Cappuccino)
I still have it, and I will try it at 1%, ... just because you "could" be right

That's way too strong for me. I like this recipe pretty good.

Caramel Capp 1 drop per 2ml
Bavarian Cream 2 drops per 1ml
TFA Sweetener 1 drop per 2ml

Steep 3 weeks.

I found Pipe and Elder Captain to be very light flavors, and very smooth using 6% @ 86VG / 8DW, even after 5 weeks of steeping. They also taste very similar to me?

I'll test 2-3% on each later, if no one else confirms that less isn't more from previous testing with those. I doubt it
