Guys, Bankruptcy is not like a dip in the pool, and you escape clean from all your financial responsibilities.. it is the last resort really for a person going through a financial crisis, it also means the person declares he has no asset in the form of property or money, thus he will be barred from leading a normal life under his own identity, any active bank account of his will get ceased. And it is just the beginning when you declare bankrupt.
Now I seriously doubt Jason would take such a life altering step , just for $7,000...So long story short, i dont see the man getting off this easily, if all who has been scammed , come together and complain against him...
Way to respond to what I posted out of context, no, I never said that taking this route gets you off easy, and I never said that the money he owes us is the reason he would be filing bankruptcy.
From my experience however, when things like this happen, I run and manage a family owned business, I am the 3rd generation, owner/manager, construction, real estate, I deal with stuff like this quite often, usually bankruptcy is the next shoe to drop. Not just that, being as we aren't talking about a single $7,000 contract, but rather 27 smaller $200-$300 contracts, we would be at the very back of the line in any bankruptcy proceeding, falling behind much larger, better represented debtors. After they get their piece of the pie, its our turn, that's IF, we are represented at the proceedings.
Now, had you read this all in context, you would have noticed, in the very post which you quoted, that this was all under the assumption that he was going to soon be filing bankruptcy, and that any legal action taken on our part should wait until after that so as to avoid being swept into that pile.
This is all of course assuming that the mutterings that he is on the verge of that are true.
But I guess all that context was lost on you before you decided to quote me out of context, take the sanctimonious high road, and then hit post.
From now on, you quote me in context, and get it right, ok?
