what needs to be done is the %age of vape density to volume of capacity to determine if one is a clouder or a tootle puffer
is it dependant upon a visual representation or an actual percentage of vape cloud to volume of expelled air
there are needs to set things to a standard

Actually, I don't like those terms very much myself. It started as a joke between Croak and me and then it just took off. It bothers a lot of people and confuses new vapers--as evidenced by this thread's OP. Seriously, the real distinction, IMHO, is between the mouth-to-lung, usually lower-wattage and somewhat restricted-airflow style of vaping (closer to the way we used to smoke) and the direct-lung, high wattage, big-air style.
That said, many vapers often switch from one style to the other, or some in-between variation/hybrid of the two, depending on their mood or need. I've tried both styles myself, at different configurations, wattages, amount of airflow, etc., but my sweet spot is always mouth-to-lung, low(ish) wattages, moderate air.
I was foggy on who else was involved in the tootle-puffer jest -- now I know a little more than I did!
I just recall darling Kat starting the puffer thread I *think* shortly after the 15mil contest... or was it just before? I remember it was already going strong when we had the software changeover. One of the biggest rants at the start of it was "no pool noodles!"

ETA: Hmmm.. I was just reconsidering what I wrote above; we had the software changeover before the 15mil contest, or the forum would have crashed massively, the way the posts were flying there at the end of that contest. So maybe the TP thread got started shortly after the changeover? It was somewhere around there anyway,.

actually not more regulations..... just more intelligence. More thought, more questions, more wondering as to why what we do is being attacked/questioned when what we do is isnt as bad as what everyone else thinks it is as bad as what it really is....
I just find it amazing that anyone cares at all about what someone else is doing.
ahhhh comeon ... everyone is always caring about what everyone else is doing that is contrary to what they believe in... its the new PC values that everyone should follow suite .... no matter what the general topic is involved,,, be it vaping to get off of ciggies or you name it....
or that a micro coil is a contact coil with an inner diameter of between 1mm and 1.6mm? I do like things to be well defined, it makes discussing them easier.

But I think/hope it's just that I'm thrilled to have found something I love, and hope everyone does too (not particularly caring what it is).

Kind of sounds like my mom. She once told me, "son, you got to quit opening random phone books, picking random names, going to random houses of strangers and ... people will think you're a sociopath." I was having a bad day that day. I had not gotten in three people and it was nearly breakfast.
"Mom, hand me that phone book", I told her in response. "While your at it, go run those idiots wearing white coats on a goose chase", I told her. Teaches her for causing a lot of my abandonment problems. Ha! I'll forget she is off a secret mission for the Martians. May even move and send her a letter, "you won't recognize the place when you try coming home."
Kid you not, my family moved while I was in the service. My mom also is constantly forgetting me, yet I'm the son that frightens her. I'm also the son she's told over the phone, "maybe you ought to have taken the job with the ... and let them make you dead, being dead would have suited you like that, you don't get along with the world anyway." Because without it, the people who just want to watch the world burn would go unchecked and then there would be chaos. For example, the other day, I was out, just walking about alternating listening to The Hanson's "MmmBop" and the Captain and Tennille's "Muskrat Love" over and over on my ipod (you have to mix the groovy songs with the classics) and diggin the city vibe. I walked into this used record, cd and dvd store and there were these two hipsters milling about. They were stealth vaping and looking through the use movies. One of them said to the guy behind the counter "Got any super hero movies? The counter guy tossed them a movie from behind the counter and said "Just got this in." One of the said to the other one "Hey, I haven't seen this, lets get this. It's only $2!" The other one was like "Me either! Cool!" So I look over and see the first guy is holding a copy of the Green Lantern movie. I ran over, snatched the DVD case from his hands, cracked it open. I snapped the DVD in half and said "You can thank me boys. I just saved you from wanting to commit suicide after you would have realized you'd never get that 2 hours back." Then I turned to the counter guy and said "What's wrong with you? Why are you handing out that kind of trash? Don't you care about your customers?" Let people like the counter guy, Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein go unchecked and the world is a hideous place.
