If I were making large batches I would seriously consider scales. However I trust the old Mark 1 Eyeballs to read a syringe without error. I am just not too much of a trusting soul in tech. I have worked with it for most of my life.

Now I need to decide whether to boost my nic level up some... Maybe in my Desert Ship which I vape in the mornings and after eating....
:)

12ml nic, 20ml VG, 1ml DIY steep and top up to the 100ml mark with PG ... a months supply mixed in 5 minutes ;)

Not too accurate for measuring .3 ml, which some of my add in flavors are.

I only mix for me. No sales or such of my juice.

I always have teeny amounts like that when I'm first trying a recipe, making a 5ml tester -- that's why I like my 1ml syringes; those .00 markings can be hard to read, but I put on a stronger pair of glasses. :D

I'm also down to very small quantities of WTA, so again the 1ml syringes are just what I need.

I have too many flavor variations I want to try to make up a batch that size. I just keep 3 30 ml bottles mixed of my main flavors. gives them time to blend/steep a bit before I get into them. When I empty one I refill it and put it in the back on the shelf.

My recipes evolve. I find a new whipped cream or somesuch and wonder how that would work with my Cinnamon Danish Swirl, so I add a bit to one of my 30 ml bottles and try it out. If I like it I will modify the others on the shelf. And I might substitue one brand for another in different batches...

I do my original trials in 10 ml batches in a 15 ml bottle for some shaking room.

Bit of a flavor junkie, so I rarely mix more than 30 ml of any one, and new ones get tested with a 10 ml batch. 10 ml graduated cylinder for that, 50 ml one for the other.

Yeah, drips and drops can be all over the place. And volume tends to remain pretty consistent!

Mixing, like vaping is to each there own. Some like one way while others like another way. I have mixed both ways and will only mix by weight now, but thats my preferance. Doesn't mean anyone else has to mix that way. I just had such a hard time seeing those itty bitty graduates in my 10 ml cylinder or syringes that mixing by scale was perfect for me. Plus I can be very lazy on my days off and having to clean the glass cylinder for each and every batch was a PITA. Now I just get out my scale, set an empty bottle on it and mix till my hearts content. When I am done I occasionally have to rinse out a couple pipettes and Im done. I made batches of 10 - 15 10 ml samples in less than 30 minutes before so to me mixing by weight is far faster also.

Yep drops vary quite a bit. Most of mine are around 60 drops/ml. The glass eyedroppers are closer to 30 drops/ml.
Why I have been measuring mine in a 2 ml glass vial. Drop 20 drops in, being careful not to touch the sides of the vial with drops. Measure with a 1 ml fine needle syringe and record the value to convert my recipes with.

I found that 7% total flavoring is my strongest mix I currently vape.

My ADV CAP VC1 is less than 3% flavoring.

I went to drops to figure out my recipes since the levels I seemed to be using were not too accurate in a 5 ml syringe. But I got a big bag of 1 ml syringes a while back....

I admire you guys to the ends of time for being to do it. Just READING about it is making my eyes cross. I had less than stellar results when I attempted to make vliquids.

I LOVE ordering! Order, instant shipping notice, bottles arrive in 2 days. Yeah baby.

Well, yeah. That's why new mixings are small batches. Don't feel really bad about tossing 10 ml down the drain.

But I usually have at least a half dozen flavs loaded and ready. Like to switch off during the day. Enough mods and toppers to do that.

I go thru a ton of juice. That Smok TFV4 will kill a 5 ml tank in less than 30 minutes easily. So its far cheaper for me to mix my own instead of buying it. ( but I still buy mothers milk and unicorn milk. Love the stuff)

Yep whatever way works for you. Drops works fine for small batches as long as you do not change bottle types of the same flavor. Those 4 oz bottles do not have droppers on them at all! Nor do the little 10 ml repackaged bottles from Wizard Labs...

I've been making my own e-juice since 2012...same exact recipe. Only thing that has changed is I've gradually reduced my nicotine to about 2.4mg. I use a graduated cylinder and syringes. The couple of ingredients I use drops for (koolada and peppermint) I simply use the same dropper bottles I've always used, so it's consistent. I make a LOT more juice to put up in storage. I make it 60ml. at the time and store it in 60ml. brown glass bottles. Currently I have 420ml. made up on the shelf. The needle bottle I use to refill my tank is about 2/3 full...so that's about 20ml. in my purse. The reason I make so much? I never know when we're going to have to go to the Mayo Clinic for my husband's transplant...and we'll be away from home for a couple of months. I like to feel I'm prepared at all times. As I use up a 60ml. bottle, I make more of my recipe and replace it.

I just looked and I have 11 different flavors sitting on my shelf. Only 4 of them have more than one bottle though ;)

Thats when I use pipettes. I can drop with them to the proper weight.

I'm gonna go all old skool on ya, but one of the more lovely aspects of true Tootle Puffing is NOT going thru 30ml (or more) per day.

Having said that, I do understand why one would want to DIY in your/that case. Fer sure!

I had been using 1 ml pipettes for those too. But counting drops out of the pipette. the 1 ml syringe is more accurate than the drops or the pipette for under 1/2 ml.

I have over 100 different flavors and try to store them categorized in single layer tackle/compartment boxes. Also have around 20 4 oz size bottles. 2 1/2 gallons of VG on hand and 2 3/4 liters of 100 mg nicotine.

I am with you in that. I sometimes never get past the smell test. If it smells bad then it will never taste good.

I had some mixes that smelled PU, yuck, gross.... and after a month steep lost the smell and was a wonderful vape. A few tobacco flavors are like that.
