I had some mixes that smelled PU, yuck, gross.... and after a month steep lost the smell and was a wonderful vape. A few tobacco flavors are like that.

A month Yikes

I vape mints and menthols and if I am lashing out oooooooooh maybe a fruit
If it's not ready in a week......it's gone.

I'm gonna go all old skool on ya, but one of the more lovely aspects of true Tootle Puffing is NOT going thru 30ml (or more) per day.

Having said that, I do understand why one would want to DIY in your/that case. Fer sure!

Guess ya can say I am a Bi-Vapor :D I have one Kayfun set at 11 watts that is my go to lemonade vape that I love. Another kayfun set at 9 watts (on a Vamo no less ) thats my Tangerine cream vape. And then I go full scale mod womping with my TFV4 vaping at 100 watts or my Crown I am puffing at 60 watts.

You miss out on a lot then. I had some Custard that as a shake and vape was bland or even yucky yet 3 week to a month later came into their full flavor and was heavenly. :w00t:

I have over 100 different flavors and try to store them categorized in single layer tackle/compartment boxes. Also have around 20 4 oz size bottles. 2 1/2 gallons of VG on hand and 2 3/4 liters of 100 mg nicotine.
Ohh I have about 60 different flavors. Sorry those 11 are my mixed ready to vape flavors.
I have a tub of extra bottles of flavorings in the back of the fridge. I just keep one of each out to play with.

So far mine are in 3 different little plastic tubs with lids. ready to vape flavors like cinnamon Danish Swirl. Add-ins like whipped cream, brown sugar, etc. and fruit flavors.
I will likely further categorize later though.

I normally steep all mine for about four weeks. I just order in groups each 7-10 days. As one group is finishing another is ready. Actually, I am ordering in bigger bottles so the steep time is lengthening. Works for me.

I am thinking of building a wine-bottle style rack for ejuice bottles. Prolly get dusty in the cellar, too.

It's quite funny. My used to be an instaneous shopper until I started vaping.

I would buy what I wanted NOW. Never waited for anything.

Then I started vaping. OMG I had to wait a month for everything. In the early days I would be over a particular piece of vaping gear before I ever got it. :p

Same with eliquid at the height of my DIY I was mixing 30 different recipes and their variations. My brain almost exploded. Now I have one play recipe and the regular 4.

I admire you guys to the ends of time for being to do it. Just READING about it is making my eyes cross. I had less than stellar results when I attempted to make vliquids.

I LOVE ordering! Order, instant shipping notice, bottles arrive in 2 days. Yeah baby.
But we in Oz just can't do that due to our laws!! We can import from USA and wait 20 days or so for it to arrive after paying $40 or so for shipping and end up with extremely expensive, extremely over-flavoured juice ... or DIY ;)

Having said that you do need to try all the different brands of concentrates. They do not taste the same and can really mess with your recipe.

There is always the in between. Many vendors make concentrates of their eliquid recipes. You just buy that and add your own nic PG/VG

A little trick I learned on steeping is car heat. Take one of your big bottles and split it up into two smaller bottles. Take one of them and place it in a dark bag under your car/truck seat for a week. Go out and shake the bottle well once or twice during the week. Then compare it to the other bottle you have sitting on a shelf. Im sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

I'm with you... I vape mostly menthol and mint also. I just did my second ever batch that's a menthol, peppermint, spearmint, koolada mix that's to die for :D I made a 20ml batch and it's almost gone lol...

Well, yeah. That's why new mixings are small batches. Don't feel really bad about tossing 10 ml down the drain.

But I usually have at least a half dozen flavs loaded and ready. Like to switch off during the day. Enough mods and toppers to do that.

I've had so many more failures than successes, I got tired of the waste from the 10ml samples -- started making new recipes only 5ml, so if it's awful, then I really don't feel that bad about that small amount of wastage. Also I dont add WTA to new test bottles, until I know if it's worth trying to vape. If it seems even mediocre, eh, it might grow on me... then I go ahead and add the WTA.

My dear down underer, I get it, and I'm sorry for you that you cannot have pre-mades, or any orders more quickly. It DOES make sense to DIY, and were I upside down, I would most likely opt to buy those weird lighted headband glasses and do the same.

My apologies for being less than sensitive to your situation.

My standard four are

Mentholeucalyptus (decadent vapers concentrate)
Koolmint & koolada (Capella concentrate)
A complex halo subzero clone (from recipe)
A premix cloud chasers minty menthol called zero hero (local)

I spray painted a small tupperware tub black. I put my juice I want aged in it and sit in in a sunny location.

No kidding... I go thru about 5ml a DAY... oh, maybe 6ml, if I'm vaping a lot. :D But I'm cheap, I STILL prefer the savings of DIY, plus having such out of the ordinary requirements -- 85% PG ain't on every street corner! :D

And to the further comments RE: steeping... why do you think I use 30% flavoring? SO STEEPING ISN'T REQUIRED!! If it's not good when I mix it and great the next day... well as the meme says, 'ain't nobody got time fo dat.' :D

I don't add nic to my test batches till I am pretty well satisfied with the flavor.
