NO COIL BUILDING!!! STOCK COIL HEADS AND CARTOS ONLY!!! NO rba'S, rta'S, rda'S OR FDA'S!!! IF YOU CAN'T BLOW SERIOUS CLOUDS WITH OFF THE SHELF TOOTLE GEAR, THEN YOU CAN JUST GO JOIN THE CLOUD CHEAT...ER...CHASERS.

Well, here's the thing... I don't do either -- don't use "blister-pack" coils... nor 'blow serious clouds' -- so very OBVIOUSLY I'm not a cloud chaser. And I've never gotten CLOSE to 15w in going-on-2-yrs of vaping.

A lot of you folks need to chill with the categorizing. I make my own coils ALWAYS; you couldn't pay me to use packaged coils, nor sub-ohm tanks, and anything I exhale is a mere side effect, not the reason for vaping. The reason for vaping is to NOT SMOKE; cigarettes don't produce much either, except in the stink department. The reason for building coils is to NOT GO BROKE BUYING THEM, and not spend half my life waiting on the sluggard mailman to bring me something I REQUIRE for vaping. That last is also part of the reason I DIY my ejuice.

Just havin' fun. Plus, you got plenty of cartos. Fire one up, blow a huge cloud, post a pic...and win a million dollars!

OK, just kidding about the million dollars. Unless someone here wants to come up with the prize money. Now that would be cool.

I believe that I will.

So, have you also invented a pocket sized air compressor to go with your compression driven atomizer? I would be more interested in that, personally. I could have an impact driver with me wherever I go!
Couldn't get it down to pocket sized...

How many PSI are you running and what resistance coil?
Coil? He's using forced air to atomize. Which is why he isn't really serious. I mean, what would vaping be without coil building?

Watch out, Boden. If you come up with something really innovative, the Dyson guy will just rip it off and start selling them for $500 each.

Nah, I've taken my blueberry muffin to my Kayfun, because cartos are just a tease, a *hint* of the flavor, making me want MORE. And I can't turn up the power nearly as much on the carto as I can with the Kayfun, for fear of burning the silly thing -- 10.5w in a kayfun, vs. 7.5w in a carto? No thanks, I'll stick with the Kayfun.

Well, if you can get it down to pocket sized and power it with a 18650 or two, you may really have something there!
Funny thing is you could run that compressor on three 20A 18650's in series. It has a 15A draw at 12V.

Yes, where did people get the idea that tootle puffers don't roll their own coils? Even before getting a rebuildable, I was still rebuilding my Kanger and GS Air coils. I'm with you, Andria, I want vaping to be as inexpensive as possible. :thumb:

I started rebuilding with my T3S coils, then Mini PT II -- mainly because I was so utterly sick of "dud" coils, and waiting on the mailman; also, I had a lot of problems because of using such high PG, lots of leakage, and while rebuilding my T3S and Mini PT II didn't fix that problem, it gave me the skills I needed to be able to justify getting a Kayfun -- which I was told was a piece of cake to build, compared to those tiny BCC coils -- which is absolutely true! And the vape is at least 500% better too. :D

T3S coils were my first rebuilds, too. I used to order 20 coils and almost half would end up being duds. I started using cotton in them and the taste really improved. Then I drilled out the airholes and it improved even more. But there wasn't much else I could do to a T3S, so I moved on to the GS Airs and now I'm using rebuildables. I feel like every step really improved the vape. And with rebuildables, you can basically make the vape you want.

I rebuilt coils on CE4's, CE5's, protanks II & III (yes I made dual coils in the III's) T3S's, MT3's, kayfuns, lemo's STM's and others. I rebuilt everything until I got the TVF4 and the Crown. I dont feel I can build as good of a coil in them as the stock/bought coils and they last me a month or more each so I have no problem buying coils for those two tanks. I bought a 5 pack of coils for one of them a couple weeks ago for like $16. Thats a little over $3 each and each one will last a month. $3 a month on a tank vaping 60 to 100 watts that gets constant daily usage isnt bad in my opinion.

So just how tough are those Evod tanks? I dropped mine the other day attached to my iS 30 onto concrete.

Evod.jpg

First, it was originally Black but the black peeled off a couple months ago. It's 6 months old and used
everyday now.

Notice the metal shroud is cracked All The Way Through at Both the top and bottom. However, the plastic tank Somehow is still intact, uncracked and unleaking.

Amazing.

I'm guessing the EVODs were made better than EVOD 2s.

One of mine cracked at the base when it fell out of my case. A second one survived a drop onto a hard tile floor with only a ding only to go "pop" a month and a half later while in use (only two months old and not filled with a tank cracker). I have a third that is almost three months old. It's being put into semi- retirement until another safe juice comes into my rotation. :(

I've still got two EVODs from 3? years ago. Both have the black half-peeled off; one has a crack in the bottom of the tank shroud. It weeps slightly on occasion, but still works fine. Those things are beasts. On the other hand, I've broken the glass on a Protank 2, PT2 mini and my mini Buddha. This is why I can't have nice things!
