funny thing is I popped in here to thank every one who helped me put down the stinkies for good back in june and what are the first two posts I read...people talking about not smoking...

I do not have words for how grateful I am for the help and support and I seriously wish I could hug each and every one of the people who set me on a better path in june and who have helped keep me there since

Just hit 8 months cigarette free today and dam it feels good. After 55 years of smoking I did not think it was possible to quit. I think vaping saved what is left of my life and will be eternally grateful for all the great info I have gotten here. Thanks everyone I now have my one year vapeaversary in my sights.
Congrats!

My biggest mistake was buying a new 64 Dodge dart (428 hemi). That car would do everything except drive in a strait line!

I once totalled a Dodge Dart... with the front end of my Chevy Nova, which was also totalled. :D Hitting a car that small at 35 MPH (even with another car that small back when cars were actually made of STEEL!) is not recommended. :D

Hello Tootle Puffers,

Y'all seem like a warm and friendly crew.

I only started vaping about 2 months ago and gave up the cigs after 1 week. I've been slightly overwhelmed by the learning curve but I'm catching on (slowly). Finding ECF has been a Godsend - so many helpful folks willing and able to steer us newbies in the right direction.

I'm very happy to have found the Tootle Puffers forum and look forward to dropping in often. I'm retired and live in Western Canada. And no, that's not me in my profile pic :)

Cheers!

So here is a question to people with long nails. How do you manage to fire this with the indent button.

This is the only issue I have with the MVP Pro 60w. I love the large display screen but the + - buttons are in a small recessed oval, makes for difficult navigation when you have longer nails, ya gotta hit the buttons just right with the edge of your nail.

who isn't feeling well today :(

Sorry to hear that my friend.

The only Cadirac I had was a 73 Fleetwood... :D

Love those old caddys, felt like floatin' on air, blasting down the highway in the back of a dream car 20 feet long... And on that note, how about some David Bowie to tootle along with:

I'm just hoping it's not the flu. Had a wretched night, very little sleep, and after I woke up and fixed my husband's breakfast, I went and snoozed on the couch for about 2 1/2 hrs. Now gonna try to eat a little something, see if that helps or hinders.

I just feel weak, tired, just a hair on the side of queasy, and the other end is having a few problems not fit for discussion. :D No lung problems, and since I no longer have a chestful of tar and mucus, not sure my lungs would get into the act, if it was flu. I just dunno what's up with this stupid, stupid body.

Hate when that happens, hopefully it's just one of those 24 hour bugs and you'll be back to your feisty old self in no time. :)

So today, in about 3 hours actually, will be one week without cigarettes. Late last night my daughter arrived with her husband and four children, ranging in age from three weeks to six years, to just sleep here for a night on their way further north. This morning I get up to make breakfast for the crew. I'm cooking, the kids are running around like crack monkeys, the dog is getting into the action, and the adults are busy trying to get organized to get the car packed up again. The stress was just about visible, there was so much in the house. I grabbed one of my leftover American Spirits and stepped out onto the porch. I lit it, took a drag, and almost puked into the bushes. I got rid of that nasty thing! I guess I'm done with cigarettes.

Should have just grabbed your vape - and I'm sure you'll remember that next time!

And yes, it's a great reminder of what USED to be normal! Congrats!!

Yep, well past the halfway point, and it just gets easier and easier! :thumb:

Actually, hitting a car of any size with a car of any size is not recommended...

(And get well soon!)

Very true, although... a bimbo in a Miata ran smack into the side of our previous Silverado, when our son was driving it. It totalled the Miata. All it did to the truck was punch in the passenger door, and make the window difficult to deal with. Which is why a lot of my crippling road-anxiety is completely relieved by driving a truck now, instead of a car. :D

(And get well soon!)

Thx. :) Hopefully getting some vittles into my very empty stomach will help.

You drunk? You wouldn't do that?
It's the first time the kids went to stay with family and the first time I was single so hell yeah, I'd do that ! and did some drunken DIY...and made a mess without ear ache. It was awesome. ;)

In order to communicate to my husband exactly how bad I was feeling during the night, while laying there NOT sleeping, I told him:

a) I had to take 1 of the 2 Phenergans I had left ofter after the appendix-massacree, and
b) I didn't vape AT ALL -- 3 hrs of laying there wretched, and not one vape. For someone who normally vapes about every 3-5 minutes when awake... that really says something. :D

Nice Hair Doh... In a thick East Indian accent. :D
What a commercial... A PC party insult to everyone's intelligence.

Great caricature!
@TrollDragon Dat's it!!! :D Yes indeed, an(other) insult to everyone's intelligence.

You are a Nova Scotian? Beautiful province.

Cheers

Hi-dee ho Tootlers :)

@AndriaD - hope you get to feeling better. @Robino1 - waving hello, since you're on duty (heh heh, I said "doodie")

@Rixsta - sweetheart, how's the hangover?

Grass all cut and weed-whacked for the week. Watching the dog "dream" - she's snoring, and her eyes are open, flitting about - she must be in good REM. She's such a FREAK!!!!!

Hello @juskiddin! You've found a fun place to hang. Congrats on the smoke-free - it's such a blessing!

@anjelvape77 - keep on keepin' on. I spend a LOT of time browsing through ECF, and the moral support, the suggestions, the ways to spend my money - PRICELESS :)

I guess it's time to go figure out what's for dinner. Pork chops aren't thawed, so I'll be doing those tomorrow evening. SO isn't feeling all that great - I'm thinking it's a scrounge night.....
