Somebody please tell me what "B&M" stands for?

If I instruct Google to search explicitly in the USA, I get a Wiki article about B&M in the UK. I see this acronym everywhere here and I am at a loss ... if it is something like this, you get vape stuff there?

    Brick & Mortar Vape shop

Which simply means that it's an actual store that you can walk into instead of just a web address.

Short for Brick and Mortar, i.e. a physical store, not just an online one.

DavidOck, i told her that exact thing, i was even telling her some different toppers to check out. she then mentions that she might get a rebuildable. so i was starting to explain the very basics of rebuildable. since this was at work, someone asked me a question(work related), i answer it, turn back to the woman i was explaining this stuff to, and low and behold! she was off bumming a smoke from someone! SMH...

Well, you can lead a horse to water....

But you're doing good, and since you were both at work, not like she was going to act on anything at that time. Sometimes after planting a seed there's a waiting period before it sprouts. :thumb:

Agree.. I just replaced mine last month. Went to Lowes and put it in. Just for laughs I asked how much it would cost to install thru Lowes.
    Here's the breakdown on that:
    Water Heater: $499
    Install: $289
Expansion Tank (required by County on new installs): $150
New pan and alarm (also new manditory requirement) $125
Since it's installed in the garage you must have a step down lip or some BS like that. If not another $275 to put one in.

Like you said chopdoc. Buy it,install it, and not worry about codes!!!

I live off in the country and dont have to worry about most of that but from what I heard, to do anything you must be licensed. A licensed plumber, carpenter or electrician which I think is pure BS. I built a house before that passed building inspections without being licensed, plumbed and wired it without a license. My house now is an old milk barn that I converted into a home. I didnt bother with a building permit then either, just did what needed to be done.

Brick And Mortar it means a local business not an internet one. However many/most internet sales are made from B&M's ?

@Katdarling i found the best site for matching coils was discount vapers. They have show great information and a couple of charts. I was impressed

    http://www.discountvapers.com/coil-heads/
But, their BVC coils are the new ones. Krisma, where did you get your stock of old-style BVC coils. I didn't buy any at the time because I wasn't back to work yet. I am now (although only part-time). So, I have a little bit of money to stock up now.
ROFL!!! This maybe explains to me why my nearest B&M seems so happy to see me leave, if I stop in to buy a driptip. After I make my selection, and they invite me to sit at the bar and try some of their (high VG) ejuice; I say no thanks, your ejuice has too much VG for me; they respond, well it's all that way nowadays. I just smile and say, that's exactly why I make my own. Man, it's like dropping a dead fish on the dinner table, fins and all. :D :D :D

I just visited another B&M yesterday. But, I still have never bought anything from one. Too little, too late.

B&M = Brick and Mortar (as opposed to online)

The little vape shop by me has stopped stocking hardware entirely, except for a few odds and ends like batteries and replacement coils. No money to be made on hardware, really. They can't sell stuff at internet prices and make any money.

They're friendly, though, and have all of the patience in the world if you just want to sit there and test juices for a while. There's lots of money to be made selling juice.

I gave 'em my little rant the other day about not charging less for zero nic.

BTW, on that front. I got a little surprise ordering base from Flavorful Vapors the other day. They've started charging a base price for the vg/pg mix, and add on for the nicotine. Higher the percentage, the higher the add on.

OT Computer stuff guys, but there seems to be some MCSE types in here...

Boss want's to play with SharePoint 2013.

So I have a Server 2013 Trial and a copy of SharePoint 2013 Trial that I pulled down from Microsoft. The first time I set it up there were nothing but errors everywhere. So it's been wiped and I am reloading Server 2013 again for a fresh start.

Will SharePoint run on a Standalone with no Domain functionality? I am not interested in any type or Farm installation, just something to set up for him to play click the web page and share a document etc... The novelty for him will wear off quickly so I just need to get it up and running easily.

Any tips or guides to make this process less painful?

    Many Thanks!
    :toast:
I haven't the slightest clue, but I do admire your courage in asking this particular crowd for advice on anything.

The local ones around here know I can drop a couple hundred on a whim so they dont say too much to me but I have ruined their sales plans before. Recently i was in a shop and the young kid was trying to sell an older couple some dripper set up. I struck up a conversation with them while this kid was trying to sell and casually pulled my vape out and vaped a bit. When this couple left they had a pair of subtank nano's instead of drippers on my say so :D The kid salesman wasnt happy with me and to add insult to injury with him, I started chatting with the young cute girl working behind the counter and bought what I was there for from her .

Here in KY you can install a water heater in your own home as the home owner. It may still be subjected to an inspection though. Some cities will always require a licensed plumber.
With many of the customers I see in Lowe's, they would do well to use a water hose let alone install a water heater.
I used to think building codes were stupid and just govt nanny state stuff till I started working at Lowe's...

I am a plumbing Pro in a Lowe's. Yep expensive on installs, about the same or a bit less than some plumbers. They use licensed plumbers.
I am also looking hard for another job because of the ....... and stupidity factor of customers. The plumbing department is the hardest department in the store to work in.
Companies are not eager to hire someone over 60 though...

And on DIY gas hookups by people who never even connected a piece of pipe together before....

I don't know if the owner of that nearest shop realizes it or not, but one of his employees pretty much nailed the coffin shut for me going in there again; when I said I had to have 85% PG, he nearly has a spaz, he's "never HEARD of anyone using THAT MUCH PG!" Which tells me he's a total idiot, since that's the default for the "PG blend" at MyFreedomSmokes, where I started my vape journey with their Virginia.

One reason I'm an almost-total hermit is because I don't deal with stupidity well at all, and there's just so much of it out there these days; I certainly won't patronize a store who employs people THAT stupid who are also pretty rude about a customer's preference/needs.

They don't even have much of a driptip selection, so in future when I need a driptip ASAP, I'll be driving up the road to MadVapes.

I agree, there is many people who should never even think of attempting a task such as that, and there is regulations out there preventing capable people of doing something also. Yet all these codes and regulations i view the same as i view gun laws. It only prevent those who follow the rules and regulations and puts an unnecessary burdon on them. A future Darwin award nominee will ignore rules and regulations the same as a criminal will ignore gun laws.

A kid at work (well late 20's) who just got off of cigs and is vaping was bragging on some blueberry juice e got at a B&M. I took him a bottle of my Blueberries and Cream. He was wild for it. Said he just thought he had blueberry juice before. It is made with the Flavor Concentrates brand of no artificial ingredients Blueberry Flavoring. Now I may have to go into the juice business as he told all his friends and had them try it....
