It's occurred to me that if I'm going to post reviews, I should also sum up my vaping style.

I go for a dense, cool vape. Water vapor is heavier than cigarette smoke, and can be cooler and maybe warmer as well, depending on how much heat you're applying and how much pressure is inside the tank.

Tootle puffer gear (IMHO, stuff like clearos, cartos and tube mods--that sort of stuff) naturally leans toward that style of vapor production. Clearos generally build up more pressure inside than either cartos or RDA's (generally, do not pummel me with exceptions--generally--please--thank you in advance), leading to good flow but lower heat, resulting in the cool, dense clouds that I love, at power as low as 3W or as high as maybe 10W or so.

Since clearos and cartos tend not to like the high VG blends that I like to vape (viscosity is greater with VG), I always use some water in my DIY juice. A few drops thins out high VG juices greatly. More than a few drops seems to lead to decreased vapor production.

I don't like the taste or harshness of PG, but find that you need some to disperse the flavor properly, so I usually vape 80/20 base plus flavors. I keep my flavors kind of light. Mints, citrus, and other strong acidic flavors at 5-10%. Sweet flavors maybe as much as 20%.

I like to vape sweets in the morning and for "dessert", and lighter flavors during the day, particularly key lime, orange and cola. I change up during the day so I don't go "tasteblind", which it seems I have a tendency to.

I have other hobbies. I build guitars, and I'm cutting slots in a fretboard right now, very difficult to do with a wood as dense and hard as Chechen. If you look at my current avatar, you'll see that I also make lighted aquarium ornaments. So I don't really want to devote time to building coils. I'm OK with drop-ins. I still spend enough time on this just doing DIY liquids.

So my preferences lead me directly towards simple tootle gear. Still use a few eGo and X6 type mods. Still use mini clearos on my eGo's, and always have a couple in my briefcase. Mostly use pocket sized and up tube mods now. Buying larger diameter mods means needing larger diameter tanks...

So I asked for suggestions, and bought a few with my post tax season "bonus", along with a few mods...get ahold of a few bucks, get a serious case of shinyitis.

Since I bought some new gear, I have stuff to try out, and I thought it would be fun to report on the experience. Maybe someone will find it helpful.

Every finding/review leads to helpful information! Some are just dead-set in their ways, others like to find new stuff to try, and having someone review it makes it a lot easier for them!! :D So keep on doing what your doing!!

I like reading about all this tootle puffing gear. It reminds me that I am not alone
As @Katdarling would say........Blog it :p

One of our local vendors is stocking a new range of developed recipe concentrates by a German company called "Dark Burner" I only got a three of their mint & menthols so I will let you know. According to the translated bits I have read on them, they are considered very clean and non coil gunking.

The three I mixed were extremely strong and sharp but they seem to have settled down after a couple of days. But because of their strength they will end up being super cheap to DIY

The child plumber came back at 8 this morning along with a couple of even younger lads. :pervy:
Almost caught me in my dressing gown and slippers. That's a sight to behold

I don't have the right coils for the TC but it looks very cute with one of my elegance tanks

I have it in VV/VW 8w (2.2ohm carto) and it fires very well. No chattering and very smooth. I was just saying to dinger that I had a regular cloupor mini in stainless and it was much too slippery to hold and fire comfortably. The coating on this is lovely and makes all the difference. (Not a fan of silicon sleeves....they feel slimy to me)

Well... I don't like using low wattage as I like the TH of high wattage. I lung inhale as I find it satisfying for taste but I don't have any subohm gear as not into building my own coils etc. Flavour is my game but I do like fair sized clouds. Like a normal cigarette size.

Hmmm...... I never thought of ciggie smoke as being cloud sized. I still don't! But, m'okay. :)

Sounds to me like you just might be on the EDGE of TPuffin', but leaning towards Modwhompin'.

Welcome, just the same. :)

When you heat the Kanthal with a lighter etc "anneal", it takes the springy/stiffness out and makes it more workable.

Wait. That's a GOOD thing? Damm Masters and Johnson(s)...

Ummmmmm........ Veep. That's me, right?

OMG! That IS me!!!!!!!!

Then I came back and bumped into my neighbor and that's where I'll leave it ;)

Rixy, is THAT what the kids are calling it these days.......

I need a new keyboard, but they don't make 'em like they used to! I'm absolutely OCD about the spacing/layout, and having found one that's *almost* right, I'm very loathe to get rid of it... so I keep putting labels on the keys, after I type the letters off. :D

Sure wish I could find a real IBM keyboard.

Andria

And.......... finally. After all these years. The Achilles/V3s and beyond, not withstanding....... we connect!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a super freak with keyboards. I have some alien fluids that emerge from my fingertips and wear off EVERY key on the keyboard. I have to replace them.... welp..... "often".

Labels, no. Clear polish, no. Silver sharpies, no. Scotch tape, NO! I'm hopeless.

I get the label sets 3 at a time on eBay, because I type them off even faster than the original letters. :D I just re-labelled them last week, and half the ones I re-labelled are almost in need of it again.

I have the most hellacious real nails, they grow long like in the blink of an eye (and even faster since I quit smoking!) so I'm nearly always typing with my nails, rather than my fingertips. The only way I could keep a keyboard nice would be to cut off my nails completely... but having spent the first 24 yrs of my life biting my nails up to my elbows, I LIKE having nails! They're useful, and a lot prettier than bit-to-the-quick!
