These are the chimneys off three different BCC coils that I use in my PT2s. ONLY the one on the left fit in the STN tank. All fit in the STM. The chimney of the STN is just slightly smaller than the STM. Ended up being able to use some of the "shorty" chimneys (from some FT EVOD clones) I checked every one of my Kanger coils (vast majority are authentic Kanger), and only the one fit - I don't even know if it's authentic Kanger because I do/did have some smok ARO coils.

Newbie Tootle Puffer here with a question. When My battery is in the charger when it is fully charged and turns green is it ok to leave it in the charger or am I supposed to take it out? Someone told me it wasn't good to leave it in but wanted to check with you all.

None of you rebuild? The Kayfun is a great option, now about 40 something dollars... I still love mine!

Most do, even down to single bottom coils.

@Krisma - Sorry, Love. Lemme try this again....

How's this?

Looking at the pic, I wondered if those are from different resistance heads... although if like me, there's probably no telling at thist point!

Best to pull them when fully charged. Probably not catastrophic if you don't, but you don't want to be charging unattended anyway, so easy to remove when done.

Higher quality chargers for, say the 18650 size replaceables, may cut off when sensing full charge, but unless it's clear in the manual that it does, assume it doesn't.

Pure PG vapes pretty horrible!
Filled a T3 with one of my modified 2 mm cotton coils in it. Dry hit a few times and vaped it to be sure the wick was saturated. No drippy yet.

Is it a stock coil, or a rebuilt one, and what wicking? I've still got one stock coil, but I confess, I have no earthly idea if it's a T3S or a protank single coil, which I used in my mini PT II's and Hypertank2. I really can't tell from looking at it which it is, and the blisterpack sealing on the back just says "kangertech" so it really could be either.

I've never thought that vaping unflavored PG would taste like anything I wanted in my mouth -- just the smell tells me that. :D It sorta smells like some kind of alcohol, or something really clinical or medicinal like that. Maybe why I need so much flavoring and sweetener to be able to enjoy my vape, since I use 85% PG.

Best to remove it; batteries during charging are at one of their most volatile times, so it's best to minimize that time as much as possible; nowadays I'm using mostly the internal USB-charging kind, but I never let them get very low, so it doesn't take so long to charge them, and they don't get too hot, just warm. Too much heat is not good for batteries at all.

And never ever charge unattended. Those battery incidents may be somewhat rare, but they do happen, they're usually quite violent, and you don't want them to happen when you're not around to respond immediately and with great alacrity. ;)

I wanted to setup some kanger coils and none that I have fit this tank. Do you have any comparison diagrams for the different versions of Kanger BDC coils. Is there a version with a smaller diameter chimney.

Yes the T3S will there is also a T3D which I expect will not work with the single coils.

Er, no. Not the single coil. Can't speak to any of the dual bottom coil version.

The T3 (and MT3) coils have a smaller diameter than the PT ones. The PT ones probably won't seal properly in the T3, as they won't go down flush with the base.

But the T3 heads will work in the PT and similar.

So t3 coils fit a protank 2, but a pt2 coil will not fit a t3.
A pt2 coil will fit a sub tank mini.
This is hard to keep up with these semi-exchangable coils.
Are there any other tanks that a pt2 coil will fit, other than the evod and pt2 mini?

I have used them in dual coil aerotank and PT3 mini, just use 2 seals on the chimney.

PT1/2 coils will also work in the Davide versions of the same, although 2 parts of those need to be removed if they're the "newer" versions for DBCs. No tools required. (Well, maybe a toothpick for the white rubber "grommet.")

We need a (dare I mention the word Excel....?) sheet for all those interchangeable coils and tanks

In the past few days I have counted over 20 different iterations of these kanger coils (authentic and clone) all with nuance differences that can result in something not working properly.

Hey, at least you know the difference between single & dual coils! Some people that sell Vape Gear, think if it has the Kanger Coil look(Skinny stem, wick on the side) it is a standard Bottom Coil that works in ALL tanks that take that style! lol
I feel dumb even trying to explain this haha

I consider myself an experienced vapor, I have tinkered with most facets of vaping and I think I have a broad understanding of a lot of vaping info. This confusion of kanger coils was a surprise and if I was frustrated by the minute differences how the XXXX can a new vaper expect to have a fuss free vape.

OMG Andria I am so glad and thankful you told me that about batteries. I had read some stuff about the li-on batteries being dangerous and for some reason I got the impression they could be avoided but the guy at the vape shop told me everything he had had those batteries.
Im going to keep an eye on the charger and when its fully charged getting those suckers off. Cant I get some type of less dangerous battery?

It is one of my modified coils. 2 mm 30 ga 1.6 ohm coil. Wick slots enlarged to 2 mm. Salon Coil cotton wicking in Scottish Roll style. No leaky with 100% PG yet and I never get a dry hit unless I suck the tank dry.
Run em in My bored out T3's at 8 watts.

The straight PG is not totally horrible to vape just not good.
Now I will lay the tank on it's side for the rest of the day and see.

I don't have a camera that will do good closeups or I would take a sciencing photo ;)

Meniere ok I know thats a charger but I can't make out any details. What brand is it? My set up doesn't have removable batteries, I wanted something I good get quickly and did not have many choices.
Is it safer to have a set up with removable batteries? As I go along I will be fine tuning according to what I learn here and personal preferences.

That is a Efest Luc 2 bay charger. I have the same one except it is a 4 bay. The main thing is to get a good charger and not one of those Trust Fire things that they sell in most B&M's. I also have a Pilo charger which is also very good. There are other chargers which are very good, The LG H2, Sony VTC series and Samsung 25R as well as Efest Purple batteries are very good. Even though there are safety features build into the good chargers it is a good idea to charge them while your home just in case.

Luc Efest I forget that many people use small-screen devices.

Ego-style batteries are less-safe. Mainly because they are so cheap. For a beginner, a regulated tube or box mod is better. Those with batteries built in have a more limited life. Plus, you usually have to have two, one for use while the other is charging. With a removable battery mod, once the battery is run down, you switch out batteries.

I like to live on the edge. I have an Efest 2 bay charger. $10. Worked fine for a couple of months now.
But since I bought it online and not in a B&M it should be ok?
