One of the slides had started getting a little rough, like it was grating against itself. I was pulling it out when the negative prong bent...tried to bend it back and *snap*. Not a total loss; out of an abundance of paranoia I usually only charge one battery at a time anyways.

Well, don't you think my girlfriend forgot her devices at her family's place...again..

Although she does try mine all the time (yesterday), but all she was into was having fun with it (blowing on surfaces, in socks, in hair.. etc). It really looked like a child.. I don't know what to think excactly. I've never vaped because it was "fun", but to overcome my addiction for cigarettes..

Well, she's going back to pick it up later she says, so hopefully she will try to quit herself, later.

I've noticed that the Zmax I got from ecigcharleston last sale they had, doesn't always fire properly. Push the button, the display comes on but the coil doesn't (or only barely) heats up. Push it again once or twice and it guess up normally. Weird, huh?

Mine has worked fine.
If I run it past the low voltage warning it will reset my power settings but that is the only quirk I have seen out of it.
It also runs my Subtank Mini with a 1.2 coil in it. Did not think it would but it does fine with it.

Have you tried an evod coil in the subtank yet?
Would like to know if I could get a MTL from the tank.

You can do MTL with the 1.2 coil that comes with the STM. The 1.2 restricts the airflow quite a bit over the .5 coil that also comes with the STM.
I tend to do slow lung inhales with it though. Not enough airflow thru the 1.2 for a fast lung inhale.
Not tried an Evod coil in it yet like the 1.2 coil so much

Got mine at Vapor beast for 23.95 seemed to be a decent deal on it.

Well...you know the old saying "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". I am afraid your partner is just not really ready to quit smoking. She's willing to dabble and look at things, but her heart isn't in it. All you can do is be loving and patient and try to not push her. Hopefully she'll come around. I started vaping a full 9 months before my husband. He was interested, and when I got him a kit..he played with it a little. But he wasn't ready. I was frustrated, but made a Herculean effort to not pressure him, or make little remarks about the smell of the smoke on his clothes and in the house (including no waving of my hands or "subtly" holding my nose), or the messy ashtrays he left around. I didn't comment about his smoking at all. I just waited. Finally, in his own time and when he'd made up his own mind, he put aside the cigarettes and switched over to vaping. Once he committed, he did it, and has never looked back.

The STM is okay for mtl, with the right coil and (probably!) the air closed way down. The RBA deck is easy to build on, and the factory heads are easier to rebuild than Kanger single coils.

(But I still prefer my KFs....)

Well I just bought a sub tank mini from MFS because they are having a 17% off sale so it was a good deal.
Now I can chase some cloudz, if I want. I blame Cromwell for my demise.
Btw. I also got a few evod tanks so there is still some hope for me.

Any idea why my protank 2 coils keep burnin on my ego one? Put a new one in yesterday and 1/2 hour later...burnt. Tried another...burnt. If I take a short pull it's fine but a longer pull..burnt.

Sounds like either poor / slow wicking or too high a power level.

Are your long pulls gentle or tornado? Drawing in too much air can overpower the wicking ability... as can high VG.

No "tornado"...I'm a gentle soul

I'm using the pt2's on both my ego ones. Been working great for weeks and suddenly burnt coils. Can't adjust power as it's a simple ego one.

Thankfully, one device is fine. The unit which keeps burning the coils has a rather high vg in it...which I've been vaping for a number of days. Hmm...it's a mystery AND it's far too early to pour myself a drink

Sounds like it's not wicking well; is your juice high VG? If you could thin it down, OR, turn down the power on the mod, it might do better.
