Does anyone else have a problem with taking the batteries out of the charger without the spring-loaded thingy trying to scrape the side of the battery? I've got one batter sidelined now because of a tear in its wrap, and I'm trying to be more careful.

I have not had any problems. I usually push the battery back against the spring and take the positive side out first then gently let the spring go back to position with the negative side resting on it. Hope that helps.

Well don't tell anyone, but I had a pair of Trustfire and a pair of Ultrafire 18350 batteries that I used in my old VAMO for 2 years. Never had a problem, but then I doubt if I was even vaping at 5 watts back then. :D

Not a word will slip from my lips Linda! :thumb::D

I have seen this a few times on ECF for example
I can see in the case of a "triple coil head" that there might be problems. But not ALL pre made coils are triple coil, after all, just like not all are sub ohm, and not all are 1.5 or 2 ohm, or dual coil, nickle coil, or kanthal. There are many different builds of pre-coil. One needs to be educated what equipment one is using, and be aware at all times.

In my post I stated that the ohms needed to be compatible...which is the case for ANY device. I may should have expanded that to "suitable toppers for the device being used". Be that as it may, it's a fact I did use mechanicals for quite a long time 2012 to 2013 and used "premade" coils in cartomizers in a cartomizer tank. I used 3ohm single coil (I've never been a fan of dual coil...certainly not "triple coil") and had no trouble.

You could build a coil that would be just as unsuitable as that "triple coil" mentioned, you know.

Hey toots...

Made some nice juice a few weeks back, first time trying them so I thought I would share, they turned out rather well..

First one was a Spearmint, Cucumber and Cream juice. This is so refreshing, lovely morning vape for me and doesn't taste bad after you've brushed your teeth ha, great with a lemonade drink as well ..

I mixed this at 70vg / 30pg as I do all my juices, with a total of 18% flavoring.

What's the mix ?

10ml of Capella Spearmint
5ml of Capella Cucumber
3ml of TPA Sweet Cream (any cream will do I'd say)

My second one was a bit of a errr, I'm not sure I should be buying this moment but actually it's very nice, all day vape and bought childhood memories of the penny round bubblegum balls..Yup, bubblegum you say ha

What's in the mix ?

5ml of Capella Banana
10ml Capella Bubblegum
3ml TPA Sweet Cream

The banana is the key to this !

My third one is a Banana and Gingerbread Custard and is def a night time chill out vape, so yummy and moreish .. it also smells good, this one needs a steep for sure, 14 days is needed to bring out the custard.

What's in the mix ?

5ml Capella Banana
5ml Capella Gingerbread
1ml TPA Malted Milk
6ml Capella Custard V1

Just thought I'd share those with ya all ;)

What I know is @Bad Ninja said "1. Premade coil heads and mechanical mods are a disaster waiting to happen."

What I don't know is why he said that.

Perhaps it was in reference to noobs to mechs not having a clue? And thinking premade means good, so not checking?

Of course, the same is true for old hands who might occasionally get careless...

High potential power and careless ARE at least an "accident" waiting to happen.

Many devices that use premade coil heads should not be used on a hybrid style top cap mech mod. The issue is not the coil head but the 510 center pin not protruding enough.
If the mech mod has it's own top center pin and the coil resistance is within parameters for the battery used it should be fine though.

I have no idea why he would say that, either.
Doesn't compute or jive up with anything I have heard of or learned over the past 4 years.

I said that because:

1. Most "Subtank style" premade coils are not designed for use with mechanical mods.

2. The insulators around the 510 connection is made from thin rubber and can easily tear and rip causing a dead short.

3. Many times premade coils will arrive DOA, with a dead short.

New vapers sometimes become lulled into a false sense of security.

Be honest.
Ask yourself if you Know what to do in the event of a short or a venting battery.

If you are unsure, step back and re evaluate your choice of gear.

Ahh yes those youngsters. They have no sense of excitement!! [emoji38]
I do! But I was just heading out of the door again, had no chance.

Opened it a bit ago. 14 replacement glass for aerotank, 7 drip tips in various colors, one screwdriver thingy I didn't know I had bought, some coils, rubber bands and a 10ml syringe.

And ordered the subox right now, with a rebuild screwdriver and some O'rings.

Next up is cotton and wires.

Next year in february or so, I'll buy some 500 ml 100mg nic and some litres pg/vg. And replacement parts for tanks and more batteries, tanks etc.
