"E cigarettes ARE made of plastic and comes from china and they have a light in the end"

"E-cigarettes not as safe as we thought. Some of the e cigarettes have extremely high nicotine content"

"E cigarettes does not help smokers quit, it probably makes them smoke more because of the high nicotine content"

"We're just replacing one bad habit with another"

"Think of the young nonsmokers. The ecigarettes are a major threat to their health and this needs to stop now"

Then the usual "gateway to smoking"

"E sigarettes should not be allowed to recommend, show or talk about. In stores they have to be behind the counter closed in a locker with the name "e cigarette" as only option when buying. Plus a 20yr limit for buying"

And a bunch of other crap. No good with these articles at all. Just makes the general opinion feel they are even worse than cigs. And not helping. These were the highlights of all newspapers yesterday. And tv. Everyone has seen it.

Vapez[/QU sounds like you have a long up hill battle. we have the same kind of corporate controlled media here. the only thing you and other vapors can do is to respond with facts sighting solid science in letters to the editor if these publication have a public opinion section. or organize a public protest accusing these publications of being shills for big tobacco that is scared to death by the vaping movement. best of luck. you know this is just going to create a black market like prohibition and the drug war did here. many smokers found way around the punitive taxes here as well.RYO became popular for that reason. and they can't stop people from ordering from china or other places that ship discreetly. meanwhile time to stock up on nicotine while you can still get it

You are right. This brings nothing good. Media is controlled by money. Public opinion is controlled by media. Votes and personal opinions are controlled by public opinion..

But this is like the prohibition yes. I mean what did it help with? Prohibiting things doesn't work. Neither if it's substances we don't speak of in here, alcohol, tobacco or nuclear weapons that could destroy humanity in a split second. No illegalization has ever worked.

Dunno about the Carolinas, I've only ever been there twice, for short visits. I'm from Atlanta, and had my first and only child when I was not quite 27. I have no earthly idea what a "menhaden" is, nor a "pogie." I called my father "daddy" when I was a child; "dad" when I got older. My grandfather, I called "Pop" though I called him "Poppadaddy" when I was a very young child. My grandmother I called "grandmother."

And yes, y'all is a contraction for "you all" which OBVIOUSLY refers to more than one person.

And a goober is actually a peanut, but those individuals who are just stupid/asinine are also frequently called that.

Excluding the "Poppadaddy" thing you are the opposite of a Carolinian , you are much more like a "Yankee" which they still refer to many people by if your not a native , or a "Floridian" lol.

Late 20's, 30's for children is much much more common in the north and the overwhelming majority call kids "kids" and children "children" never "young uns" lol.

Grandfather or "Pop" is what most consider the proper terminology and grandmother is as well , never ever do you call your father "daddy" especially when your a man in your 50's.

Hmm... I think my mom called Pop "Daddy" all of her life; she was 45 when he died. But then, my mom is the youngest of 7, and is still just brutally spoiled -- no one apparently ever let her know that growing up would be a good thing; they just catered to her until she thought that was how the world worked, Joan always got her way. It's not so attractive in a woman of nearly 75. I understand now why my whole family used to harp on the "maturity" issue with me -- they didn't want another Joan on their hands!!! (and really glad too!)

Yeah, we still call 'em yankees, if we're not calling 'em damn yankees.

There's too many of 'em (and every other damn thing!) in ATL to be too worried about it.

It's hilarious really; ask any yankee why he moved to Atlanta, and you'll probably get some version of "tired of the snow".... but just let it snow an inch or 3 down here, and they're all "ah that's nothing" and they get out in it... and wind up in the parking lots that I-85 and I-75 turn into! Cause guess what! THERE AIN'T ANY SNOWPLOWS! While the few natives have wisely stayed at home, waiting for it to melt... because it never takes very long. Then all you hear is how ATL weather sucks. Well yeah, we coulda toldja that and saved you a moving bill.

We've got a Vicks vaporizer, running almost 24/7, but she also likes to crank up the heat. Our bedroom is like a sauna!

I so could not sleep in a room like that! Would drive me right 'round the bend!
Room has to be cool for me to get a good night's sleep. If it's hot (which it is, here in Florida most of the year) I get a bit psychotic . We have a window A/C right next to the bed...blowing directly on me. You wouldn't like me if I get psychotic.....
