Sure, where there's demand, there will also be a supply. But prices paid for black market products tend to be high to compensate for the risk that those who sell them take, while product quality tends to be questionable.

Well if you want cheap you should stop vaping, that will solve your problem. Other than that China isn't stupid there will be a low end and a high end market. If you think you'll be paying 50 bucks for a 20 dollar rda believe me it won't happen, China regularly uncuts itself.

No I don't think things will stop being made; I am concerned about my cost to vape going higher. But with all that being said, I would like to avoid a criminal record, even if its a slap on the hand and a misdemeanor.
Yeah because buying a mod online will get the FBI to come to your house and slap you with cuffs, Fox News will be right behind them to make sure everyone knows you bought a 20 dollar steel tube marked as a flashlight.

Sorry, but the Bill was forwarded to Sub-Committee - Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions For considerations. This occurred in early May of this year.
There has been no further release of information since.
In short, it has been totally ignored and will likely Die in Committee. :(

H.R2058 needed to be voted and passed to the House, accepted and approved to move forward to the full Senate, Voted and approved to go into law and accompany the FDA budget approval.:grr: (I believe I got that close )
I'm just hoping the news released yesterday will prompt the sub-committee to hold some hearings and get this moved to a full committee consideration. I agree that nothing has happened and it seems ominous but the bill has continued to gain co-sponsors throughout this year even as late as last week.

I don't think my Chinese LEMO2 is cheap but it was low cost at a sale price of 35 dollars. Sigelei 75, not cheaply made but reasonably priced. If we had to buy these items on the black market as you suggest, maybe double the cost and no legal claims if its not authentic or worse, they are faulty.

I will stick with my plan and get a couple more before next year.

Your chinese Lemo came from my so called black market, it's called China Inc, China will NOT stop it's operations no matter what that's my point. You'll be importing from the same places you are now they might be marked as flashlight or accessory but that's about it. It feels like every little minor storm we have here in NYC where supermarket lines reach around the corner, I'm suprised no ones yelled the sky is falling yet. Relax! It's not the end of the world.

What will prevent suppliers from including a 510 flashlight head attached to every mod and selling it as a "flashlight"
There are a million ways to get around it that being one of them, how about selling you vape gear in pieces you thread together yourself, you can't ban something that's not fully assembled yet.

It is definitely not the end of the world; now or next year when the regulations pass. I will be prepared my way; and you, your way. I won't be ordering anything that I cannot buy legally. :)

But you're fine with stockpiling and concealing counterfeit gear after it passes? Once it passes if you go by uncle Sam's law you're suppose to throw it all out. Listen, I'm just advocating that just because this happened doesn't mean you need to go out and spend a fortune on stuff.

Its about cost for me. I firmly believe that cost is going to go up: which I don't care for at all. Companies are not going to pay for all these licenses and approvals and not add that into the final price. I think our choices will be limited as well.

I am not going to spend a fortune; not even a small one. One Provari and one DNA Shark will cost more than what I plan on spending for all my backups.

Never heard of this "Law".
Got a link?
Yep, here is the link.

If they require a certification on anything made after 2007 then it's considered counterfeit, since it doesn't and cannot have a certification.

China won't need to pay a dime since it does not and never will follow US law. You are breaking no laws by buying from China by the way unless they decide to import ban everything from China which would destroy the US economy.

You are aware the Budget was delayed, but goes to vote on Dec.22, right? o_O
That is this coming Tues. :(

You're funny. I guess that could happen if I was rich, famous, and the FBI ever started caring about a misdemeanor.

I am just fed up with Back Pocket Government on All Fronts. All it seems to take is the right amount of Cash and no matter who it effects, the deed gets done.:glare:

Reading implications on the FDA site, I see a good possibility of Nicotine becoming a heavily Regulated and restricted product.

Meanwhile BT will likely close out e-cig operations and roll forward like the Big Dogs they are.

This whole mess is an insult to the Illusion of FREEDOM.

We as a people have asked for this at every turn
We have ignored change in Government
We have ask others to run our lives
We have freely handed over our rights
We are a land of Sheeple:(

Well, time to wait and see what comes next.:grr:

For me, phase 1 begins. Reducing Nic to 1mg. and hoping the body complies.

My best wishes for those now vaping and Prayers for those who may, in the future, have switched.
Actually big tobacco will be part of the very few who can afford to remain in the game in the US, and will have a virtual monopoly. Get ready for a couple more inferior and costly Ecig products like Vuse and Blu.

I don't think so. Even Prohibition didn't go that far. It was perfectly legal to keep and consume whatever adult beverages you already had.

For any new vapers that don't do their research this might be true, but for those who know there will be high end gear available. Word of mouth goes a long way as well, these forums will definitely help with that.
