Yes sooner or later prices will go up. I don't see how they can ever make a nicotine product completely illegal since that would squash big tobacco as well.

not illegal at all ... locked down cigalikes are what's coming :smokie:

everything else will die a slow death ... folks like Rossum, myself and others are not affected

This is gonna hit a lot of vapers like a ton of bricks

I will have a couple or three LEMO2s, Drippers, Mods, and plenty of Nic Juice by then. Companies want our business and some will figure out how to keep us spending legally.

Its a set back, not the end of the world.

Got it. So another sky is falling thread...even though it really is....eventually.

What exactly is the problem? Keeping up on what is happening in government in matters pertaining to Vaping is just another annoyance to you?
Then so be it. Some of us actually like to keep abreast of matters. Nothing to do with Falling sky's, Alien abductions or Gulliver's Freaking travels.

You are pretty accurate in your assessment IMO, I think its the cost factor that will damage the industry the most. It cost me 108.00 dollars to try vaping this 3rd time around; and it was pretty much in the 100 dollar range on my two previous tries.

I honestly don't know if I would have tried three different times if the start-up cost was 200.00 to 300.00 dollars each time. Call me paranoid; but my worry is something like my Sig 75 being 200.00 dollars instead of the 79.00 dollars I paid for it; and my LEMO2, if it doubled would have been more like 80 dollars.

Not many people have 300.00 laying around to try something out and hope it works for them. Just coming up with $100.00 was more than enough for me.

I hear you loud and clear. I would not have been able to get in to vaping if the costs would have been 200% to 300% higher so what I'm going to do is:

I live in Chicago right next to Chinatown, and I am going to go to the basement for food costs. I'm going to buy a 50lb bag of Jasmine rice, and tofu and go back to frying it thinly sliced in Wesson Oil as I had when times were really tough, and buy generic label food wherever possible. You cannot believe how much money you can save per month on food if you really have too.

Then I'm going to spend a few thousand dollars on vaping supplies so that I go unscathed from these incompetent fools, elected b/c they may pass a popularity contest or look better than some of us, went to wealthy schools, or were well connected.

We're just getting started. You've been given fair warning. Stock up or throw the towel in. Priorities people. Priorities.

As I've said many times in other threads. The issue for the government isn't regulation, it's enforcement. No possible way to stop this train now, it left the station and is well on it's way. I too want to see how they are going to stop me. Now they can make it very difficult for new vapers to start, but the many of us already on the train, ya right, come get me.

Stock up on nic, it's the only vulnerable thing we have to worry about.

Shame, never thought I'd have a prepper type mentality about anything.
Yeah i've procrastinated my way through school and pretty much everything except for this.

I hope the ones that act like that dont even see this coming. One day, they will try to go every local vape store they have and not understand why they are all closed. Then they will lay down in a puddle of self esteem, where i will be there to kick them in the nads for not using their eyes to read.

I know you want one, so get it :). Just know it will be with you a long time. I got an adult box turtle when I was 10 (she was at least 8 because apparently she had relations with a male, and surprised me laying eggs. Max was really Maxine). At any rate she died when I was 32.

Well, I guess Im going to keep all that I have now. Was thinking of selling because I felt that 15 atomizers and 14 Mechs were too many. Guess at my age that should see me through another 20 years , I hope...

I have to go over the things I have in the classifieds and think about keeping them, just in case....

Only thing that worries me is the cost of Nic base. Maybe I should buy a few more liters before the price doubles or more...

You're right, one bottle is nowhere near enough. :D

I've got TEN - 250ml of 100mg Nude Nicotine and I think I'll slow down when I get to around 4 gallons. It will last 10yrs approximately and if I quit, I will get my money back by selling to those who want it.

Your chinese Lemo came from my so called black market, it's called China Inc, China will NOT stop it's operations no matter what that's my point. You'll be importing from the same places you are now they might be marked as flashlight or accessory but that's about it. It feels like every little minor storm we have here in NYC where supermarket lines reach around the corner, I'm suprised no ones yelled the sky is falling yet. Relax! It's not the end of the world.

I've ordered three items from China and all three had been opened and inspected. What am I, an arms dealer or on a list?

And I can build them. The parts won't be regulated, just the assembled ones :)

My suggestions to anyone not sure how to build one is buy a decent unregulated now and copy/fix as necessary.

I cant help but wonder about the few US made Modders, i.e. Provari. Is their production over with? I guess they can probably afford to send units and have them tested and most likely "tamed down"? It will be international Modders that can somehow disguise their merchandise for shipping to US? If they get x-ray'd and get confiscated ?

So basically only items for anyone wanting to quit via vaping is cig alikes and ego types? Kinda sad...well really really sad.

I guess there will be no choices for smoking alternative other than what doesnt work for most of the human race or the black market...

I have to admit, while I did do some signing and writing to gov'nars and such, I really did not do more as I should have.

I guess we will have to be careful taking our gear out, might be a rash of vaping related violence to add to the whole mess. Guard your gear and be careful who you boast about what you have to.

I took a different route ... I have enough ProVaris and Kayfuns to last 5 lifetimes ... and I have enough eLiquid to last my lifetime.

This thread is missing the, "I favor the FDA regulations" voice. Surprised that (new) member hasn't chimed in yet.

Here, I'll play that role: I think it would be good to keep the regulations as is, cause then our government can take care of the quality issues currently happening with eCigs. I don't think our products had diketones in them prior to 2007, so that would be really great if we could go back to that time period, when everything was so much better than the questionable products we get now.

(How'd I do?)
